but there are a lot more things to consider when getting a tatt. like who gives it to you, the type of ink they use, etc. the gecko on my inner arm ended up taking me to the emergency room. but it wasnt from the ink or anything from the tatt artist. it was from the advice he gave me on how to take care of it. see i work in a dairy dept. at a grocery store, so my hands always have a lot of bacteria on them, and i forgot to wash my hands before putting the stuff on my tatt. then i wrapped my tatt in saran wrap, so what happened was because of the saran wrap, the bacteria was never allowed to exit my tatt, instead it just sunk in it and got it badly infected. which sucks because now i have to get the gecko re done so it will look right because some of the ink actually bleed completly out of the tatt.

oh by the way, 4 days after the e.r., i went and got another one, while i was still on medication for the one that got infected, so damn if anything can stop me from a tatt. that's how addictive tatts are. honestly not even hepatitis c could stop me from a tatt. hell at that point there wouldnt be any reason not to get more tatts i guess. but if you want to know what i meant about getting ripped and tanned with a tatt, look at lee priest. he has a tatt on each shoulder. look that up and you will see what i mean.

That's pretty cool man. Hell if you can make it through all that, then you should get that tatt. A lot of military and police do that, like getting their MOS patch or their badge tattooed on them. Just because it's something they feel they worked real hard for, which they did, and it is something no body can ever take away from them.

i personally love tatoos..i have 5 and already have my next 2 planned out..
i would not be ashamed to have any of my tatoos later in life. the ones that I currently have have to do with my fraternity; which some of you may understand and some of you may not, and the others my family and heritage
my very first tatoo was on my chest, its a celtic trinity knot...(strong irish heritage)
on both of my wrists, i have the greek letters Sigma Chi (left wrist) and Zeta Theta (right wrist)
on my back i have a tribal depicting the white cross of constantine and a latin motto
on the back of my left arm going down i have my last name "KELL" in 17th century goth/celt font with a shamrock at the end..
I have a tribal design for my right arm, and my family guild symbol for my next two..
I love all of my tatoos and put a lot of thought into them. It is semi-addicting and does give you sort of a high when you get them done..i will try to get some pics up of them if i can

just make sure that if you get a tatt that isnt american, in other words celtic, tribal or oriental, make sure that you understand fully what it means. you might be surprised. unless the tatt just looks cool, then who cares.
