Don't feel too bad about those 3 pounds, Nic.  It could be worse.  You could have moderate anger management issues like some people here...

The other day, I brought a half-dozen hard boiled eggs to work for breakfast (oh yeah, it's great for keeping people out of my cube), and every gad bleepin' one of them stuck to the shells.  I was so pissed, I threw them in the trash and stormed out of the building.  Laid 30 yards of rubber tearing out of the parking lot.  Then, to add insult to injury, the salad bar at the grocery store wasn't set up yet.  I had to settle for Deviled eggs from the deli section, and I ended up scooping that nasty sh** out of every one of them.

When I'm bulking, KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET INSIDE THE RIDE AT ALL TIMES!

What's wrong with that?  Can't you peel the shell off yourself?

Naw, man.  Trust me.  I found out that if you use eggs that are too fresh, or boil them too slow, they stick inside the sheels.

They are literally impossible to peel.  You end up picking eggwhite scraps off of a million little eggshell shards.  If you just rip into them, you end up throwing out more than half the whites, and what's left is so leathery, it's unpalatable. Smile

It's petty, to be sure, but that's my point.  All it took was some lame-a$$ thing like that to set me off the other day.  Delayed my breakfast by almost an hour-and-a-half, and hey, I don't need to tell anyone HERE how much that sucks, LOL.

Forearms kinda of developed splints or something at the end of last week...  seriously, it feels like ****ing shin splints.   I think it's from pushing too much weight, I'm not used to doing the MaxOT style reps...  and I'm lifting a lot heavier then I thought I would be.

I bought some elbow braces today, which I'm planning on using as forearm supports.

Has anyone else ever experienced/heard of this before?  If so, got any tips?  No way I'm quitting now, I'd just like to avoid injuring myself.

In other news, I just bought a pair of powerlifting straps as well, solely for deadlift.  I like deadlift.  I think it's my favorite lift.  There's something blissful about picking up a large metal object, grunting like a silverback gorilla, and putting it back down again.  A release form the cerebral world of professional life.  Mmmmmmm...  testosterone.

I have to agree, Jae.  Unfortunately, I'm on a second floor apartment, so I can't exactly drop the barbell for that satisfying "CLANG" at the end of the set -not that I would throw my iron around recklessly or anything, but placing things gingerly on the floor is a bit deflating, LOL!

Can't say I have any experience with "splints".  If it's inflamation, maybe icing those bad boys will help?

Anyone else having probs with the DB Photo Galery?  I'm getting Java errors.

Don't use that photo button in the toolbar -use the "Click here to upload!" link at the bottom of the message form.  There's a check box next to it that says "Embed picture in post".

You'll only be able to include one image per post that way, unless you host them on your own server/domain and link to them directly.

I personally recommend creating a free account at  www.photobucket.com

Thats where I host all my stuff and I haven't really had any problems.  Easy to link to from there.

Splints are where your muscle is pulling away from the bone.  It feels similar to tendonitis, except, it doesn't have to do with your tendons and different things relieve the symptoms.  In my case the forearm wraps are working, I just feel like an ogre walking around with them on...  not necessarily a bad thing I suppose.  Anyway, the forearm wraps work cause they put pressure on your muscles, pushing them back towards the bone.  Same thing happens for shin wraps when you have shin splints.

Unfortunately, the only way for splints to go away is to just lay off that area of your body for a long time.  A month or more.  Sometimes way more.  So...  looks like I'm gonna have splints for a while lol.

you know i have that exact same problem in my feet when i run..but i have tendonitus where the muscle is actually pulling away from the bone..you know what REALLY helps and makes it go away fast is ibuprofin 600-800mg. everyday as directed (every 4 hours i think) and ice & elevate it for 15-20 min 2-3 times a day if possible.. it really helps! the muscle gets inflamed and causes it to pull away from the bone..that will stop it.
other than that, look for different excersises like cable crossovers, flies, things of that sort to help..
