Well for those you paying attention in other threads you will probably know that the last three days have pretty much sucked. So I needed to get in the gym and move some weight. 20 Aug 2005 Flat Bench DB Press 45x10, 45x10, 65x8, 85x8, 95x8, 100x6, 100x6 Incline Bench DB Press 50x8, 60x8, 70x8, 80x8, 90x8 I realized that this was not the level of pain and effort I was looking for, I needed to really expend some effort. Squat 135x12, 185x10, 225x8, 275x6, 315x4, 275x6, 225x8, 135x20 (no spotter, so while I WANTED to go heavier, I knew that was a very bad idea) I then walked outside and threw up. Right now my quads are toast. Paul

23 Aug 2005 Wow, what a day. Chest Flat bench BB 135x10, 135x10, 185x8, 225x6, 225x6, 225x6, 135x20 Incline BB 135x8, 155x8, 185x7 Pec Deck 140x10, 170x8, 200x7 + hold for as long as possible Then get back to work. PM calls me into a meeting. Seems someone has tendered thier resignation and they want me to fill the slot. It's a great opportunity but MAN the hours are gonna be BRUTAL!!!!!!! Plus pretty sure working out at lunch is not gonna happen. But there's a significant pay increase involved so that's good. Not to mention a LOT more visibility and responsibility. Paul

24 Aug 2005 Back Deadlift (Sumo) 135x10, 135x10, 225x8 had to quit still really feeling my squat workout. One thing that CONSTANTLY bothers me is how long it takes to recover from leg day, specifically squatting. +24 hours pretty sore, +48 VERY sore, +72 hours pretty sore, +96 hours moderately sore, +120 hours slightly sore, +144 hours almost no soreness. Strange. Why is it taking so long to recover? Bent Over BB Rows 95x10, 115x10, 145x8, 165x6 One Arm DB Row 50x8, 55x8, 55x8 Straight Arm Pushdowns 80x8, 80x8, 80x8 Shrugs (Smith) weight is what is on the bar 90x10, 180x8, 230x8 Paul

So went on a Carnival cruise last week to the Carib. Was enjoyable and most shocking of all only gained three pounds. Got 4 workouts in, nothing spectacular just some machines and DBs and 10 minute sessions on the treadmill. Did get a Body Composition Analysis done and man, was that machine pretty far off or I am really THAT fat. Using the electrodes to measure conductivity, the machine came back with a 30.3% B. I looked him in the eye and said 'yeah right'. He told me the machine is 'very accurate'. Whatever. I'd believe 22-24% tops but not 30. So I'm back on the shore and raring to go. 19 Sep 2005 Back Lat Pull Downs 170x8,170x8,170x8 1 Arm DB Rows 60x8,60x8,60x8 Bent Over BB Rows 135x8,135x8,145x8 Treadmill, 10min, .89mi My goal right now for treadmill is to continue to increase my distance in 10minutes to a target of 1.2miles, then add 5 minutes and start from 1.25miles and continue this pattern. Paul
