Facts: 1) 15% of the population does not respond to creatine. They feel nothing, they get nothing. Products like V12, creatine transport systems, were made to help with that. But there's no hard guarantees in an unregulated industry. 2) Creatine has a ton of research. Almost as much (but not as long term) as protein. 3) What's better is what works and what fits your budget. a) Creatine transports like V12 require no mixing. They are developed to increase the amount of creatine your body will absorb. There's research that shows if you take 10g of pure creatine mono, only 3g will get absorbed after the stomach lining and such. Other products you only need 5g of and the whole 5g will be absorbed. b) If you want to make a transport yourself and save $30 a pop on other stuff, there's instructions on exactly how to do that. Although my personal opinion is they did not seem to work as well for me as others but it was a massive cost savings c) Start off with the basic creatine monohydrate. Skip the loading phase. Follow the directions to the letter at first. Drink plenty of water. Experiement with pre/post supplementation as you go along. You'll find AST has a braketing method where they describe in some detail when to take what when. 4) Your body products around 2g of creatine per day naturally. 5) Creatine products don't help your body make more, it's pure creatine. It is more. If you do a search here you'll find quite a lot of very good information about creatine.
