aight... tomorrow (sunday) is gonna be the day that starts all the hell that is to come... CARB CUTTING TIME... OH YES... I CAN'T RUN OR HIDE FROM THIS... let me break it down for you.

on a non-workout day I get to eat oatmeal in the morning with breakfast, then one bowl with lunch or around 12-1pm.

On a workout day, i get one bowl with peanut butter pre-workout and one bowl post-workout...

thats it. that totals out to around 50 carbs for the whole damn day. protein stays the same and i can still consume protein shakes for now. about 4 weeks out i have to cut out protein shakes. that means more cooking. i'm gonna have to do it like all the legends did it before we had protein shakes and NO-Xplode... hahaha. anyway, that should hopely, after about a week or 2, lower my body fat down a good bit. i should get some new pics soon but i have save it to show u guys what carb cutting can do, too bad that the effects don't last a life time... man, be 5% bf and still able to eat whatever you want... hell that would rock... anyway, back to real life...

i think i have caught some kinda sinus infection that has really pissed me off. I feel like crap most of the day but my body still wants to workout, so i still lift. If i still feel like this on monday i'm going to see the Doc. Now is NO time to get sick! even if i did, shoot, you'd still find my @ss in the gym giving it everything i had. anyway, besides diet, training is good. I'm starting to really see the benefit of hack squats. the day after every leg day is like hell because its hard to walk because my quads are sore. my legs should come out nicely in the next couple of weeks. well, thats it for now, gotta get a meal in. Later dudes.

Well, i got some meds for the sinus infection, so i'm cured (knock on wood). I'm about 3 days into my carb cut and it sucks a royal... yeah u know what. It's kinda weird how u can be energized but u go to lift some weights and u just come to a standstill. I'm averging about 50 carbs a day. The effects are starting to show because i'm looking smaller and alittle flat which is to be expected. without all those carbs your muscles don't look very full at all. But i'm burning fat right now and not worried about anything else. i have about 2 more weeks 'til i have to cut out protein shakes and probably creatine. I plan on replacing the protein shakes with eggs and steak. For breakfast, 5 egg whites and a beef pattie. Post workout and right before bed will be the same. that way i get fast and slow protein.

Also, with the cutting diet workouts don't last as long. Not to say they aren't intense, but they aren't the same as workouts before i cut the carbs. I can't tear down the muscle as much because without the carbs i would run the risk of over training. So to all you dudes out there cutting carbs and getting lean, don't make the mistake of tearing down the muscle too much. Just get your pump and do your cardio.

thats it brothers, i gotta get my @ss to work. Peace.

Don't forget to drink a lot of water, especially during the final two weeks.  It helps flush out the system and remove subcutaneous water.  Without good water management, you will be "flat" on stage.

thanks DNYC, u got some kinda back for a girl, don't let it get too big.

Navy, Water isn't too much of a problem with me. I get well over a gallon a day. Thanks tho.

I think God is trying to make this contest prep. as difficult as possible for me because i keep getting all this sinus sh!t slowing me down. I can't explain it. Its like my whole head is going crazy. Nose is stuffed up, head feels like someone is sitting on it, feeling kinda weezy. Well, all i can do is keep loading up on sinus meds and hope it goes away. I know all the exercise and dieting is making it harder for me to recover, but damn, i can't stop now. I'm also doing the Zinc and Vit. C too. Well, i need some rest, Peace.

well, today was an cardio/posing day. Finally got somewhat of a
finished product as far as my routine goes. my diet was pretty clean
today. no f-ups. the 31st of this month marks the 4 weeks out period
and that means all consumption of protein shakes, diet coke, and
anything else that isn't food, pretty much gonna stop all supplements
too. this is gonna be hard. my plan is to eat more beef and eggs.
breakfast will be 1 steak pattie with 4 eggs and some veggies. post
workout will be 8 eggs with oil and veggies, rest of my meals will be
chicken and tuna with veggies and oil. Pre-bedtime will be 2 steak
patties with some eggs. my weight should really drop then.

Tonight on Discussbodybuilding.com, Animalforever1 WANTS CARBS SO BAD!!!!

Just had to say that. tomorrow is shoulders... peace

Are you talking about whole eggs or egg whites?  Are you sure you want to stop taking your protein shakes?  If you cut out too much protein, you will lose too much muscle while you are losing your fat.  You lose one pound of muscle with every three pounds of fat loss, so you need the protein to offset this.

alright boys and girls, time for a post and it goes like this...

Still carb cutting and actually i'm getting over the stall out that i had for the 1st 4-5 days. My weight finally started dropping like 2 days ago. I should be around 186-ish tomorrow morning... I'll just have to wait and see. I'm doing really well with my diet, I have taken 2 meals outta my day which will lower my calories a little bit more. I have upped my consumption of BCAA's lately. Wanna make sure I get enough to keep holding muscle mass. Also started a new Fat burner stack which includes Lipo-6 and/or Ripped Fuel Extreme with Ephedrine and an 81mg aspirin. Works quite nicely. Good energy for about 5 hours. Really helps outs with the workouts. I have started pulling certain things from my diet like diet drinks, peanut butter, and my post workout protein shake has been replaced with about 10 egg whites.

Thats about it kiddies, I'll have another soon. Peace.

Oh, and something I wanna get off my chest... Supplements did not get me to where I am today, training and dieting did. Supplements helpped alittle, but 95% of it was training and diet.

Today was a good day. Kinda crappy to start off with but got alot better. I did about an hour of different cardio exercises and then on to posing. My trainer brought his video camera to tape it so i can see what i look like and how i move from pose to pose. It kinda funny because i didn't think i looked as good as i did. I don't have a fat head about it but i was suprised. My legs looked pretty cut as did everything else. All of that and i'm still running a very low carb diet, so when i start pumping myself up with carbs i should look a hell of a lot better and bigger. All and all i'm happy with what I got and it should only get better. I have cut out creatine from my diet and on my off days i eat a meal every 2 hours now. Also, on workout days after 5pm i'll eat every 2 hours. This should drop my calories some without shocking my body too much. I have upped my consumption of BCAA's. I hope that the boost will help preserve muscle mass. If i ever find a way to post parts of the tape on the net i'll post a link.

Thats it, Peace.

It looks like you are on the right track.  Did your personal trainer mention that you should take potassium tablets the week of the competition to help prevent muscle cramping on stage during your competition?

Navy: yep, got that under control. I eat a good bit of aspargius (sp?) and that is high in potassium and it will be upped more.

Today was a good leg day, had alot of energy and just got to the gym and did what i went to do. Got 2 cases of Dietex by VPX for free from my trainer because i was telling him that i'm hungry all the dang time. So that will hopefully help. I plan on taking it for the next 5 days or so, probably 3 bottles a day. i hope it works.

Been watching some footage of myself posing and trying to smooth out the routine some. I wanna get that "Best Poser" trophy. Also been working on spacing my meals out a little bit more, trying to lower the calories a little bit more. Thats about it for today, peace.

Got some good new to all that still read this post, if its allowed, I'm going to register to compete in the Junior class as well as the Novice class at my show in 17 days. Its gonna cost an extra $60 but with all the hard work and everything I think it is do-able. My trainer thinks I should go ahead and give it a try. I am confent that I will place really well in the Novice class because of some pictures I saw of a show that was held about 11 days ago. The guys in the Novice and Junior class didn't look very good and (i'm not being ****y) but I could have beaten them in the current condition I'm in. Also, the fact that this is a small show, the competion shouldn't be very hard to beat. I hope I don't jinks myself by making these statements.

Yesterday was the last day for protein shakes and peanut butter. I will still use Xtend and Animal Nitro for the rest of the week and maybe just a bit longer, probably next tuesday. After that, its all food, 24/7. My diet looks something like this...

Work out days:
8 egg whites and oats
-workout-
8 egg whites and oats
4 meals chicken or beef with veggies and oil
last meal before bed time is beef with left over veggies from the day

Pretty simple diet. I'm still getting hungry alot throughout the day and keeping the Dietex close by to help me out if I get close to losing all sanity. I still have mixed feelings weather or not Dietex actually works or not. I do know it taste pretty good tho.
I did spike the insulin about 3 days ago with some AnimalNitro-G and apple juice pre-workout and the day after I dropped about 4lbs. I have leveled out at 180lbs now. I dunno if i'll lose much more before I start my water pills in about a week and a half. I'm gonna keep my eye on my weight and keep you people posted.
Oh, almost forgot, I changed up my fat burning/enegry stack a bit. I bought this product called Dicana after reading some reviews and I'm gonna give that a run to see what happens. I dropped the Ephedrine. So, now its Dicana (about 4-5 caps a day), CortiXene (2 caps a day) and AMP (5 caps a day).

Thats it people, everyone have a good rest of the week, peace.

Congratulations.  Good news.  Please post a daily update during your last week.  It's a good time to share exactly what you are going though as you fine-tune your body, deplete your water and get your tan into shape.  Also, tell us about your practice posing sessions and last day diet.  This is all good and useful information for those who have never done it and maybe are thinking about giving a bodybuilding contest a try.  Good luck in your last two weeks.  Hang on for the ride, brother.  I rode that coaster six times this year and I can't wait to ride it six or more times again next year.  LOL
