I found out I was working my chest all wrong, so I dropped all my weights down in an attempt to teach myself the correct form. My chest felt like it was going to explode from the pump. I think I got it right.
 
All chest movements were done with a 4020 tempo.

I cutout my warm-up cardio today, instead I dropped the time between sets to 45-60 sec’s and time between exercises to 60-90 sec’s (just long enough to move and setup the first set).  I spent a lot of time stretching before I went.

OH YEAH!!! That's gonna change how your body will react for sure.  If you really want to make your muscles scream, try moving to a 4040 tempo sometime. I've moved to that primarily for arms and so far , in the last 4 weeks I have added a half inch unflexed to my arms, 1/4 inch flexed and I'm really starting to see the separation of each of the heads in the triceps and biceps.

Nice job on realizing that. Keep it up!!!!!!!

4 seconds down, slight pause, 4 seconds up, slight pause, repeat.  The goal is to recruit as many muscle fibers in the working muscle as possible and to keep it under tension the whole time.  Generally, when using this tempo, the weight that is used needs to be about half normal to maintain proper form and motion.

Yeah I saw, in your journal, that you had slowed all your movements down. Then I watched that chest workout on bodybuilding.com so I figured “what the hell”. I had been holding my elbows any old way while benching also, just putting them out straight to your sides forces you to lower the weight and slow down.  
 
I read everyone’s journals looking for tips.

Another week another new routine, all supersets, all exercises failing in the 6-12 rep range. One working set per exercise. No rest between exercises, minimal rest (just enough to set up) between supersets.

I’m taking my recovery week a little early. My hip/quad is still bothering me from last week’s leg day so I skipped Monday’s leg day. My kid woke up at 1:30am with a belly ache; I had to stay awake with him. I got to bed a 9:00 this morning, I’m dog tired. My head is all screwed up so no gym today.
 
 
I walked to the gym Tuesday (my normal day off) just to see how far it was and how long it would take me. It turned out to be just over 5 miles round trip. I’m thinking of walking to and from the gym instead of walking on that boring ass treadmill. I think I’ll drive on leg day.
