Has anyone tried these yet?, i did and i could not get them into a bar form,so, i used a cupcake pan mold and filled it about half way and put them in the freezer, I have seen other protein bar recipes and they call for baking.

I did, i let them cool for 2 days lol then tried to cut them, but after 1 min, they got real sticky, you could not pick them up to eat, i had to use a spoon or fork. Give them a try, maybe i did something wrong.

I tried them and they were great. I added an extra 3/4 cup of milk to make them a little smoother. 12 hours in the fridge and they were ready to go. Excellent recipe. Ronnie

Is there a way to get around adding milk into the recipe? I'm lactose intollerant, maybe soy milk?

soy milk should be fine. one question, how much is one scoop of protein? On my scoop, it's approximately 15grams, so if I do 4 scoops, that's 60grams. 60 grams / 8 = 7.5 grams per bar. I don't understand how you can get 26grams of protein per bar? Even facting in the peanut butter, milk, I don't think you could get that much protein?

i found another recipe, and kinda uses it in combination with the reciepe shown here. what do you think of my modification? 4 scoops of whey protein powder 1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour 3 cups of oatmeal 1/2 teaspoon of cinamon 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup milk 1/2 cup natural peanut butter 1. mix protein powder, flour, oatmeal, cinamon and salt in a large bowl. crumble in the brown sugar. 2. in another bowl, combine milk and peanut butter. add this to the first bowl. 3. put the mixture into a waffle maker. 4. wait till it cools down, put them in a plastic bag sealed, and put them in the freezer. 5. Each time a bar is taken out, toast them and eat. What do you guys think about it?

hey everyone....to really make them stick well, use natural honey as well. Try to balance the combination of milk (i use less milk) peanut butter and honey to form that lovley sticky batter...and you will find the natural honey will give the bar a lovley taste when u eat it. although this may only be good for the bulkers

Yes my buddy is bulking and he takes in honey without hesitation. It's a simple sugar, but it's natural and also high in nutrients, apparently. This recipe sounds incredible! I can't wait to make this!
