just do them everyday if you want to break the record to increase endurance rite? can't give you a 100% on whether u want to do them everyday, or 5 days, or 1day. but i would say pullups are kind of ilke pushups. u have to handle your bodyweight. i used to do pushups everyday and increase by one everyday. so i guess u can try doing that, then give your body some rest and do it in school. or you can just try once a week. good luck. p.s if anyone has a different opinion on how many times he should practice pullups plz share. thanks

u can't compare pullups with pushups pullups are way harder u can train 1 day on 1 day off with pullups MAX not 5 days in a row !

Those are pretty pathetic school records. We had to do 50 pushups, pullups, and situps after wresting practice every day, and practice was an hour of lifting and 2-3 hours of wrestling. If you didn't do fifty pullups all at once you had to hang on the bar until you had the energy to do one more. Then you had to do that until you hit 50.

its easy if you weigh anything, as long as less than 20% of it is fat, my friend is 230lbs and cant even lift himself up unless he jumps, and afterwards he cant do it after that, its because hes like 99% fat though lol. if you weight 300lbs, and have 10% BF then youre huge, im sure you could do pullups. I can do in excess of 35 pullups, never tried my record, but im sure getting to 50 wouldnt be very difficult.

I disagree one of my wrestling coach was 250 lbs and 14% body fat. He would pump out 50 pullups like they wre nothing, and our other coach was 212 lbs and 10% body fat and was worn out at 50. though I at 135 lbs and 3% body fat at the time could do around 60 just because I had to do them every single day.

Arnold was 235lbs, im pretty sure he could do LOADS of pullups. Im 145lbs Im pretty sure every 280lbs BBer professional could do more pullups than me, and my bf% is 9% ish Ive seen many guys weigh a good 200lbs do a good 20+ pullups. Ive also seen twigs attempt 5 and fail

me and my friends were able to do more pullups when we wore like 180 pounds.now we are 225 pounds and didn't add more than 4-5 pounds of fat. at 180lbs I was able to do 20 pullups now i'm stronger but at 225 pounds I can do max 17 pullups i'm not talking about twigs who doesn't train. my point is : it's harder to do 20 reps at 220 than it is to do 20 reps at 140.believe it or not i'm telling u it's true. there's a huge difference on doing 140 20 reps and 220 20 reps even if your stronger and more muscular at 220. take 2 people with the same genetics, that have both train for like 3 years, that both have the same bodyfat but one guy is 160 pounds and the other is 220 pounds, the guy at 160 pounds would do more pullups. But there's not a lot of guys that have the same genetics and all that but if u find 2 guys like that,i'm telling u that heavier guy will do less pullups.

you did less because you did not train them muscles enough to keep up with your bodyweight then. you used to be able to lift your bodyweight up 20x when you gained weight, you could only do it 17x Its the equivalent of being able to bench 180lbs 10 times when weighing 180lbs but can only bench 225lbs 7 times when weighing 225lbs, its because the chest wasnt trained enough, i guess you didnt do pullups enough because you was bulking or w/e and the muscles specially designed for the pullup exercise werent bult as much as the others. im talking about twigs who train. pullups standard with arms require arm muscles, as a result, people with 18 inch biceps are gonna do more than someone with 13 inch biceps, and as a general rule you dont find many people weighing 250lbs with 13" biceps and vice versa

if u add let's say 50 pounds of muscle, let's say 25 pounds on the legs and 25 pounds on the upper body. and on those 25 pounds of upper body muscle u gain, your gains on pecs, triceps, foreams and the side-front of the shoulders have nothing to do with pullups. So let's say on those 50 pounds of muscle u add max 15 pounds on your back-biceps.So I think it's normal u do less reps cuz u add 50 pounds but only 15 pounds on your back-biceps muscle. don't u see my point ? and about the when he weighted 180 and did 180lbs 10 times and after he weight 225 and do 225lbs 7 times. I think that's really good. And it's a lot harder for a guy of 225 to do 225lbs 7 reps than a guy at 180 who's doing 180lbs 10 reps. u can't just add let's say 30 pounds of muscle and add 30 pounds or more on almost every lift, especially in the high reps range like 20 pullups, add 30 pounds on something your doing 20 reps it's A LOT.More than 30 pounds of muscle cuz a lot of those muscle u add is in your legs.that doesn't apply with people who doesn't train legs.

ya but u can't compare a 170 or less pounds guy with a 230 or more pounds guy. It's like comparing doing 160 40 reps on the bench and 230 40 reps.how much people can bench press 230 40 reps ? not at lot.same thing for a 230 pounds guy and a 160 pounds guy doing pullups. the bigger the weight is the less easy it is to do a lot of reps.cuz the body as a limit. i'm done arguing now, believe what u want.

Ok, so a guy that weighs 160 can bench his bodyweight for 40 reps and a guy that weighs 230 can do his body weight for 40 reps. So why can't he do just as many pullups? The reason why a lot of big bulky guys can't do many pullups or pushups is because they rarely do bodyweight exercises because theya ren't as good as weights for bulking. If you find a bigger guy that does regularly do body weight exercises then he will be able to do just as many as a smaller guy.
