I don't know how well this will go, but let's try it out anyway. We need to have a strength competition based on the percentage of your bodyweight. That way, us smaller guys on here have a chance to win a strength comp.

We'll have the normal lifts: bench, squat, deadlift. All you have to post is your bodyweight and your totals for those 3 lifts. Then just post your progress along the way. I'll calculate your percentages and have a ranking list in this post. The winner will be the one who has the greatest total lift by bodyweight. You may only use a weight belt and chalk.

There will also be sub-winners for best bench, squat, and deadlift. I will update the rankings as people update their stats.

The competition will end on Dec 31, 2005.

This will test your dedication to lifting and your motivation to make gains. It'll also give you some time to find a routine that works best for you. It starts now. Here are my lifts as of 1/22/05.

People can lie on this, is only reason its somewhat a bad idea. Only thing I cant do is the squat part. I will post my gains of dead lift and bench though.

Im gonna go test it then ill be back with the results

Yeah, I know people might lie. That doesn't matter to me, though. They just don't have integrity. I'll get your stats up there.

Is this kind of like a friendly thing where we post what routine were doing. That way we see what people are getting good results from and all

You could say that it's a friendly thing. I can't post my routine, but all of you can if you want. It's like a fun ranking to see where you actually are in strength. To see who's the strongest here.

Every competition is supposed to be fun.

Haha, the only thing I'll probably fail in is bench. But my squat and deadlift could put my total above yours lol. It's on now.

Oh, and how old are you?

I'll put my old maxes that I know of from working out at my friends house...

Bodyweight: 150
bench: 175
Squat: 200
Dead lift: 210

These were all done close to a year ago so once I buy some more weight I'll update these. I know for a fact I can squat more then 200 because it felt very light even back then although I haven't realy worked out on squat having such a small amount of weight availible to me. So who knows how much I've even progressed from these numbers..

I should've said this before, but all the lifts must be with free weights. Barbells for all 3 or a trap bar for the deadlift if you want. There will be no machines...so, sorry Gun Ryo, I can't count your squat.

Ok heres the stats.

body weight 148
Bench270
Squat 270
Dead lift 295
total 835

This will really get me fired up to heal quick and start eventually hitting the gym hard.
I would imagine that by december I will be at a 300 bench, 370 squat, and 425 dead lift. Bench will be the hardest to achieve i think. Oh its on!

That would be correct! I neglected legs until like one month ago, and max ot is doing wonders for them.

Cool cool. I did the same thing, but with my chest. That's why my bench is so low, but I have a trainer now who I hope is gonna get my chest nice and strong. Smile
