I changed the machine flyes to DB flyes last week and by switching that one exercise, I feel completely destroyed again this week. It is all good thought since I need the change. I'm looking forward to being sore tomorrow.

Sorry I'm tired, did you mean you needed the change so you didn't plateau with your gains?

I had only 15 minutes to lift today, so instead of missing out i did what i could within my time. I warmed up and took small breaks in between sets. I got tired real quick and got a massive pump. It was nice although i didnt put up much weight. I could barely move my last set of machine bench.

Well today was cut short. After my first set, my left bi started to spasm. I took my time warming up. I had to give up since i could move the weight from the spasming. It is a good thing i did since i have been sick lately. I missed my legs workout on wednesday but im still not feeling ready today. After i stopped i got extremely light headed and felt like i was going to hurl. These last 2 months have been a pain in the arse. I have been sick 3 times (kids) so my schedule has been off. I havent been able to put as much weight up either. I have been able to add size but my strength has faltered a bit. Just one of those weeks.

Thursday - Legs. It has been a while since i did legs and i hit them with a fury. Walking is a little difficult today but its all good. My gym time has decreased since work and family are taking up more time. But work will suffer since i need to hit the gym more.

I tweaked my back over the weekend. A muscle under my shoulder blade cramped up and caused a ton of instant pain. That pain has hung around for a few days. I was able to do chest today but at a lighter volume. It is getting better each day but there is still some discomfort.

Beware of this one, Mis

This is exactly what started my unpleasantness. I would highly recommend taking a week and letting it heal. Maybe just cardio. Just my $.02

Ive had this problem for a long time now. My chiropractor gives me a few adjustments and that helps out a lot. I had x-rays taken a year or so ago and the doctor said there isnt any spinal problems and sent me to physical therapy....didnt help a bit. So i starting seeing a chiropractor. The first 2 were retarded but the 3rd one was extremely helpful. I see him from every once and a while and he gets me back on track. He could tell by looking at me that i had a problem with my hamstrings and that my right shoulder was compressed. I no longer have any lower back problems due to my hamstrings but my shoulder still gets me from time to time. Im going to see him tomorrow morning.

thanks for your concern.

Considered a massage? To workout the kinks in the muscles?

A massage would be nice......

I saw my chiropractor this morning and he noticed a leg length discrepancy as well as compression in my right shoulder. Feeling much better now. If anyone is in the Santa Cruz Area, check him out.

Today was a chest day. I have been doing machine incline the last few weeks and the exercise is killing me so far. I havent done much incline before this, thats why im doing it. I usually rotate my sets, 1 set decline db bench, 1 set db flyes, i set machine incline, repeated 3 times. By the time i get to the end of the 2 rotation, im beat from the incline. It all good though......

I would definately recommend that you replace the machine inclines with DB inclines. Inc DBs are one of the best mass and strength building chest exercises there are.

Just my $.02

Killing you how.. painful? Could be that you are going too low. While everybody says to go as low as possible, sometimes that can be painful depending on your range of motion.

DB inclines are sweet.

What a chest day yesterday. I havent been this sore in a long while. I put my a new max for machine bench. I wish we had some olympic weights instead of just dumbbells and machine weights. But the price it right, free. My triceps are a lot stronger since i started doing tri's on their own day, same with my bi's.
