Ive been doing 50 seconds for a while now and think i am going to increase it to 2 minutes so i can start using more weight.

I also do power sets on bench, squat, and deadlift though where my rest times are around 5 minutes.

3 minutes for squats, deads, bench, and rows.

About 10 minutes between powercleans, but I only do 1 rep of themand then do some pullups.

i try and let my rest period reflect what exercise and weight i  am doing at the time, same as most of you, unfortunately sometimes my workout time is limited so...less rest time and i do notice a difference in the way that with normal rest i get the last 10,on days where my time is limited not always!!!!!!big exercises 3 mins, iso's 90 seconds(ish)

Just out of curiosity coldfire, do you train more for strength or mass?

If so, do you think routines that you have supported, such as Mark Rippetoe's is great for hyperthropy or is it decent for muscle mass as well?

I'm thinking of giving Rippetoe a shot this August, and will pm you some questions if you don't mind.

Back to the original topic, my rest time depends: if I lift heavy (for me), I would rest for >2 minutes. If I lift moderate weights, I rest for about 45-60 seconds.
