flavorless creatine?
-
Saturday, July 12, 2008 2:52 PM
anyone ever given it a try? i could probably look it up, but is it micro or mono? and is it worth buying instead of something else? i was thinking just mixing it in with water and then taking the beta alanine pills with it......does that sound ridiculous, or reasonable?

I hate flavored creatine because it tastes like shxt. Just get plain creatine monohydrate, it's worked pretty well for me. Also there is micronized creatine monohydrate which is supposed to absorb faster. I'm switching to micronized to see if it does better.

Boomer, mix it with grape juice or some fruit juice. You'll need the sugar to induce an insulin spike.

Mono is pretty much tasteless. I mix it up in whatever.

the guy that worked at GNC was embarassed......you know you walk in and they ask you if they can help you with anything, and i just said "no, i'm just here looking for some creatine"..... he went on to tell me about this liquid caps, and i said "you know that just turns to creatinine, and is excreted by the body." he tried to argue with me for 10 minutes telling me it was better because it was liquid and it's absorbed by the body faster. it's embarassing when you go in there and know more than the employee but yea, i don't know if it's any good, we shall see

I don't buy anything in GNC unless it's on ridiculous sale. And yea most of the salespeople there don't know anything. And plain creatine mono you can just get at wally world anyway.

creatine mono absorbs better with warm beverages, so mix it with coffee, tea, or yerba mate, and get the benefits of increased absorbtion, good flavour, and the energy boost and antioxidants that the beverages give you.

ORIGINAL: rippedchick hmm...I wonder if that would also make it less gritty... Micronized doesn't get gritty or sink to the bottom. That's why I get it. I work at GNC and don't buy anything there unless I ask the manager to let me buy it for the store's cost.
If it wasn't painfully difficult then you didn't do it right age:18 5' 81/2" 173 lbs goal : 195 supplements: Multi, fish oil
