Is sleep the same benefits at all times? - Wednesday, July 09, 2008 12:33 AM
Pretty simple, Being a teenager in summer vacation I got caught up in that big maelstrom of waking up at 4 pm and going to bed at 5 am... hard to get out of it for some reason

I keep training no matter what and I know that training smart means getting enough rest, If i sleep from 10pm to 8 am or 5 am to 4 pm (it's probly not the same amount) the same kind of rest ? I heard that the sleep in midnight is ''enhanced'' or something like that?

Our bodies hormones and internal clock is set up to be asleep at night and awake in the day, to "flow" with nature as you wind down at night as the day winds down. Noon is the day's peak and so should the humans. I would think that not sleeping at the proper tmes will screw up the body's natural schedule.

But.....

You are a teenager so enjoy life! When your young you can abuse your body much easier than when your older.

Enjoy your youth, one day you'll wake up and ask, "Where did my youth go?"

People only regret what they DIDN'T DO, not what they did do.

Indeed Indeed but then again I could also regret not going to bed when I actually should and realise I messed up my gains, AGAIN.

I guess It's because I just moved and my friends are kinda far now so it's not as easy to meet up and what not, not to mention I dumped my job (trying to get a new one, trying to find landscapping job atm) and everything is closed so basically i'm off on my own in my house with nothing to do but to... chill... so yea I guess that doesn't help.

sleep is sleep, are your cells repair hormones equipped with watches going "holy **** its 1pm, i aint doin this, this countries going downhill man"

....No?

thought so.

Sleep is sleep, yeah there might be a few studies saying people sleep better at night than day, and that whole melatonin thing has got everyones knickers in a twist, but what they dont tell you is the fact that the difference involved is like being 5'8.1" or 5'8.2" for analogous sakes

Its such a little amount its only measurable in lab conditions, which...is what they do...lol.
Thats right guys, sugars in fruits are bad, they are simple sugars which will make you FAT, I mean we all know monkeys eat mainly fruit and look! THEYRE VERY FAT!
Site will be up soon it didnt like me copying and pasting for some strange reason

This type of stuff is nothing you should be worrying about.  As long as your consistent with your diet and training you'll be fine.  Your body knows when it needs to rest, and that's when you sleep.  If you find yourself tired all the time then you may not be getting enough rest, but if you're not tired, then your fine.  Staying up until 5 in the morning every night is fine, and you sleep all day, so you're still getting the rest you need.

You're fine.

From what I understand, the most frequent contributor to ineffective sleep is the use of various drugs/medications to put oneself to sleep.  Whether benadryl, valium, alcohol, or pot, they all cause problems with your REM sleep, to one extent or another.  Not sure about these newer medications, like "lunesta" that get advertised on tv.
