What is everone's favorite tuna recipe. I don't enjoy it myself but train the tuna eating muscles just like the rest. I have tried so pre-made canned tuna salads and flavored tunas. These are actually not bad. What does everyone else do?

For the protein on the salad I mix a tuna tin with cottage cheese and hummus, makes the tuna much more palatable.

Some of the canned tunas are disgusting, the other day I got out a "curry" flavoured one from the panty (husband must've bought it) and it was foul with two big hunks of potato in it. What is that !! Just cause it's currey it's supposed to come accompanied with potato LOL !!! Who are they kidding !!

Anyways I find tuna also more palatable when warmed or grilled, I must say.

Regards Jill from NZ

PS On the "food from heaven" list though is fresh tuna fillets that have been cut really thick (like 3" thick)peppered on the outside then grilled so the outside is crisp and lovely and the inside still raw like sashimi. This is wonderful and not to be confused with anything like tinned tuna !! Serve with a fresh salsa verde !! Yummo !!

mayo is disgusting.

for tuna:

- some lemon juice
- green onions
- hot peppers
- tiny bit of cream or milk, just to thicken. TINY TINY amount

I eat tuna about 3 day's a week for lunch. It's cheap and a great source of protien.

Try instead of mayo try low fat ranch dressing..

If using mayo try it with a little bit of garlic powder gives it a zesty flavor..

Myself, I eat it straight out of the can with my salad....mmmmm taste great.

You can only cook chicken so may ways befor you get burnt out.

I tuna 5x a week for lunch, its the only source of protein I can get from my cafeteria, but I just put mustard, sometimes some almost fat free mayo and some spices.

Make sure you buy chunk albacore packed in water, not tuna in oil. Albacore is a higher quality product. I strain the water and then mix the albacore into a large mixed green salad with tomato, green bell pepper, onion, celery, etc. Makes a nice lunch. And, you really can't taste the tuna, but do get the protein benefit.

3 cans of tuna, mixed with a ton of melted chedder cheese, 1/2 cup mayo, a tiny bit of garlic powder, and some of that other powder stuff, cant remeber the name, its brown...heat it, grap some tortilla chips and your all good...oh yeah, put a 1/4 stick of butter in it...add some meat if ya want, like sausage or something....not to good for you..sounds pretty nasty too but its good man

Mmm, tuna. I love it. I eat 2 cans everyday. My favorite would definately be tuna salad (Mayo, tuna, pickles, eggs, and all that jazz). But of course, I really enjoy my mustard and tuna sandwiches on wheat bread.

Edit: Dae_Light, you're not the only one. I love tuna, and it hardly ever gets boring to me. I was eating it before I even knew how beneficial it was to you.
