cant i just replace OH press with military press? im gonna get ripped on this, but the OH press to me is retarted

they're actually different.......... Overhead only goes alittle past the BACK SIDE of the head. Military press you bring infront of you face all the way down to the bottom of your throat. they're both sitting down i prefer military press, more movement and isolation

Overtime the military press name has really evolved to an overhead press where the weight is brought to the top of the chest or in front of the body, or at least this is what most people refer to as a military press. So what OH press do you not like? Barbell, dumbell, seated, standing, behind the neck?

Traditionally the military part refers to the position of the feet. Thats how I do it. ^^^^ Elbows forward, bar traveling in a straight line, squeeze and hold at the top then slowly lower it down to the top of the pecs. Tried and tested. Apart from side raises the OH press is the only direct shoulder exercise I do.
