i will agree with you that creatine is the best and most crucial supp.

but N.O. products are there to slow down muscle fatigue, therefore allowing you to do more reps, which in turn tears more and builds more muscle....

umm no creatine is for that it increases the ATP production in your muscles, while NO products increase vascularity essentially just giving you the pump which does not indicate a good workout.

NO also increases GH before you workout but eliminates the more essential GH spike post workout.  Only think preworkout NO's are really good for is for days you just dont feel like lifting and need a kickstart...but thats actually only the caffeine that gets you going

I agree Ranger....I think Dan had a thread about GH release, and the fact that pre WO NO supps inhibit GH release during training.
I know...LOL...I'm taking plasmajet and superpump....HeHeh..but I just really like the pumps ...HaHa!

Supplements are extremely effective. True, there are some nonsense products where the only effect is less money in your wallet, but the fundamental supplements are huge. Don't waste all that hard effort without them!

 Jesus.

Supps are over rated.

If you gain 30 pounds in 6 months with proper diet and training and $400 worht of GNC supps, if you didn't take the supps know how much you would gain?  Probably 30 pounds.

Yea, I second that. In College and only getting like 6 hours of sleep a night?!?!!? I need those Pre workout supplements to help boost me. I need those fish oils and multi vit. I need creatine and NO and whey. I wouldn't be no where NEAR what I am today without supp. and that's a fact.

Nobody here "hates" on supplements....we just understand that Diet and training are 95% of the game...supplements are ...well supplemental...I.E. in addition to...I think probably 99% of the forum members here take or have taken supplements. No one is saying they are ineffective ( although quite a few of them are)
they just aren't all that important, outside of protein and creatine, unless you go AAS or PH....But thats a whole different ball game.

Close analysis has led to me to observe a direct correlation between the partialness towards supplements and the number of recorded posts (possible look at experience/education of athlete) by that person. Smile

no joke, this is so true lol.  most of the people who post in the supplement section are new people asking the exact same question that has been asked 50ish times and then the dont even listen when you tell them that the supplement is not going to do crap if you dont have a good diet and training.  also that you are not going to have amazing results from supplements...they are just SUPPLEMENTAL! the older members just realize that supplements are not all they are cracked out to be.  yes they work, but they dont work that great and are not necessary.  seriously though, would you people quit giving credit to the supplement.  the supplement didnt work hard...you did

I'm not saying supplements don't work.  Sure, No Xplode will wake you up for the gym, so will redbull, or a pot of coffee, or anti-climatic sex.

I'm saying if you're giving all of your gains to supplements, you're a moron.

I thought this thread was a joke by the time I got to the second page.

I've been on coffee and anti-climactic sex for awhlie now, and I have to say the gains are far less then they are cracked out to be, my legs usually just get tired and the coffee dehydrates me.

Supplements are great, but you can always overdo a good thing. Some of you are wasting way toooo much money, but to each his own. If you like it, good for you.

All I take is whey, animal pak and creatine. I prefer food!

just responding to what has been said...

my diet is one that will work with basically any supp. i eat on a strict diet and time frame.  i guess there was a misunderstanding. i though that it had been said that supps didn't do anything for you.

but with the proper diet and use, they are great

The problem is that supplements get hyped up a little too much (MRI, Muscletech) for what they really do.

The best supplement is when you get in a fight with your girlfriend. I have had better workouts than any supplement can give me if my gf and I got into a fight lol. I take it all out on the gym. Most of it is mental. But, Plasma Jet, first serving today, wow, this really is the most effective supplement right off that bat that I have ever tried. We will see the progress, I will keep you guys informed. Creatine, Whey, and N0 in my opinion give me way better workouts than not taking them. I need that boost before I go into the gym with Black Powder, plus music helps a lot. My diet isn't all up to par, because I do not stay home most of the time, but I am also not eating crappy and these supplements that I take give me what I need in terms of nourishment.

and how do 2 NO supps "nourish" you? I mean I relate to you not eating clean all the time but I dont rely on protein powder and especially NO2 products to fulfill that. And why are you taking two NO supps? LoL that must be a sick pump!

DAVID: hahahaahaha srry but come on man, read the label if there is one. or just read the 314923 posts on the board on the topic of superpump
