Q about fat loss and calories
-
Friday, May 02, 2008 7:57 AM
Hey, Ok I'm cutting right now current calories per day are avrg of 2050, main Q is if my fat % lowers or my weight do I need to increase my calories accordingly? I used the calorie calculator this morn put my new weight in and it showed I need to increase by about 100..Is this optimum? Do I basically need to increase as I get leaner? Please help me out! Thanks!!!

if u lose weight u most likely have to decrease calories not increase. unless u gain muscle

Hmm..It just I am a little extra HUNGRY, so I figured it was due to bodyfat decreasing. I'm confused now. Don't really want to decrease cals, might lose some muscle? Or is this my only option? Aren't I essentially gaining muscle by reducing my body fat? It's being replaced by muscle no?

I don't know what my bodyfat is in all honesty, I've been going off how it appears and how thick it feels ha ha! Not optimal I know. Just looking at Dan mirage guide he suggest to drop 250 cals if your not losing fat or gaining muscle, what do you say? I do need a proper test though. I've gone from 72kg to 71kg since last week, 71kg being my current weight...What would you suggest. Here's my critique physique from last week I'm thinking maybe dropping 150? http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Critique_my_cut_progress_3months/m_376958/tm.htm Any help would be amazing!

o yea i saw those. it does seem like ur getting leaner but its hard to suggest something when i dont really know ur losing. my suggestions for if u lost all fat would be completely different than if u lost mainly muscle

At the mo I've basically added 3 HIIT sessions after weights and 20 min jogs on the non HIIT days, calories have stayed the same at around 2050 avrg. I'm just a bit stuck as to what I should do to create optimum results. Quicker results essentially

Ok will try that and report back :) Should I drop some cals? I'm thinking of adjusting my carb intake too, lower it. My ratios are based on my 2050 cals Fat 25-30ish 50-60gram Carb 38-40ish 200-230gram Pro 30-35ish 160-180gram Typical meal plan is 8.30 cup oats ON 100% whey mixed in 12.00 2 whole eggs scrambled on wholemeal pitta 3.00 Half a tin of tuna mixed into quinoa teaspoon olive oil Pnut butter workout 5-5.45 on avrg 6.00-7(Post workout) meat , with broccolli, string beans brown rice/ptatoe 10.00-10.30 ON 100% whey and 14 cashews Do you reckon I drop some of the carbs later on? possibly the pitta or rice with pwo?
