I'm strongly considering anobolic steroids
-

Hey, I'm probably going to start taking steroids to lose weight and build muscle. Seems like a good shortcut. I know there are health effects, but from what I hear they are largely reversible. Also I believe their not as bad for adult men, as oppossed to teenagers or women. Besides, I only want to take them for a month or 2 just to get me on the right road. I would like some advice on the best type to take and where to buy it. Tips and Techniques also much appreciated too. I've heard of stacking but I'm not sure how safe that is. thanks alot!

well from what ive read it shrinks the eggs not the bacon, but that still aint to good. i know that the problem is because the hypthalimus and pituitary gland in the brain are in control of monitoring and fixing imbalances in the body. so if the body thinks it has enough testosterone the the boys wont make it anymore and shrink to disuse. ive also heard joint problems arise from steroids. so i just dont know if the short road is always the best one.

Frankly, I think anyone who thinks steroids are "a good shotcut" shouldn't be taking them. They are powerful drugs, with risks and benefits. If you don't fully understand those risks and benefits, you shouldn't even be considering them.

read a lot man before doing a cycle, this is a POWERFUL drug that can lead to serious injury. This things is addictive..once you feel like you are strongs and getting bigger, you do not want this to stop...so don't think you will be able to do one cycle or do... about the side effects...the list is sooooo long I don't want to go into it....but depression...shrinkage, acne, bad temper, hair loss, heart problem.... just one more think...if you already decided to do it....be sure not to take crap....I know someone who almost died taking crap steroids...it is up to you
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

Don't even bother. You say you want to take them as a shortcut, and then you say you only want to take them for a couple of months to get you on the right track- Well, that's a contradiction in terms in my opinion. You're starting out on the wrong track when you want to take roids as a shortcut- You'll get some improvements from them, and lose what you gained when you stop. Then you'll want more to get back what you lost, and you'll pretty much need them from then on to keep up. You'll start telling yourself that you probably won't get the side effects anyway, and then when you do get them, you'll either try to ignore them and keep taking the roids, or get freaked out, stop taking roids and be back to square one- Hopefully with no permanent damage from improper use. You want tips and tricks? Eat right, exercise, get plenty of rest. Nothing's easier or healthier than that- It takes effort and willpower- If you don't have that sort of mental strength, you have no business putting stuff like roids into your body.

Expect2Much: Look, there are no shortcuts. If you want a life-time of healthy fitness, do it the old-fashioned way. Work for it. Earn your muscles with sweat, not with chemicals. You will be prouder of them in the long run. Most of the bodybuilders on this site know what I'm up to. I am a 61 year-old body builder, training to enter my first competition as a natural athlete against younger athletes, some of whom are on "juice." I am competing in the NPC Northern Kentucky Bodybuilding Championships on March 19th in Covington, KY. I am competing in a show with 200 competitors and a large audience. If this old bodybuilder has the guts to show his stuff, au naturale, in front of all those people, why can't you have the guts to forget about doing things the easy way and do it the hard way, which is the right way? So, please listen to the other posts, and instead of worrying about what you should use, how to get it and how to use it, try instead to work out a training program with a sound diet and good supplements to build muscle and look and feel great. There are several Forums on this site where you can go for help. Or, just ask me. Good Luck.

Naw, I live in Birmingham, Alabama. My local contest got moved from March 19th to April 30th, but since I was trainng (timing) for a March 19th date, I found a good substitute in Covington, KY. I would be happy to see a "friend" at the competition, since I probably won't know anyone in the audience except my diet and supplement adviser, Mark Ritter, of Beverly International, the sponsor of the 2005 NPC Northern Kentucky Bodybuilding Championships. He knows I am coming to the show. I am also participating in a all-natural bodybuilding competition two weeks later (April 2nd) in Marietta, Georgia. Since I am training all natural, I'm using the Kentucky show as a tune up, even though, with 200 contestants, it will be a bigger show than Marietta. But in KY, I will be competing against steroid users and at the the GA show, I won't, since there is a five-year ban on steroid use in order to compete.

Ok then, I'll try to make it. I'll have to make sure I am in town that week, but if so, I'll be there. Are they going to have anything besides the comp? Any product booths or anything, (like a convention)?

It's a big enough show that they will have booths, displays, product samples, etc. Should be fun.

Hey Old Navy, nice work on the Hamstrings in that pose you attached... you got that cool "slash of a sword" look on the side of your thighs going on. You are a very motivational person on this forum, and you are making me wonder if I should start exploring possibly entering a competition... may post in another section on that one. Expect2Much, really read into what everyone is saying man. I just recently read that the number four steriod users in the world are college kids getting ready for spring break. The pimped out kids on MTV during spring break with the hat sideways dancing really badly... some dude who took up lifting a month before spring break and started loading up on gear to look good (I stole that line from the recent Lee Priest article in MD) Everybody wants that short road, but think about the character you will develop doing all the hard work on your own... it's like meeting someone who has had everything handed to them their whole lives. Boring people, with no depth whatsoever. Spend years and years getting to know your body before they even cross your mind...

Weapon X (Sean). If you want to try a body building competition, there are several "natural" organizations throughout the U.S. that encourage first-time participation. All of the organizations test for illegal use of muscle enhancements, some with a five-year ban, some with a seven-year ban, some with less. You can enter as a novice and give it a shot. If you want to know more about the specific natural organizations, I would be happy to supply the information. Although the first show I am going to do is "non-tested" NPC show, I am going to spend most of the season doing "tested" shows in the S.N.B.F. (Supernaturnal Bodybuilding and Fitness) organization. They have a five-year ban on juice use and give a polygraph to all competitors at registration and weigh-in. Their shows are in Marietta, GA, Duluth, GA, Pensacola, FL, Montgomery, AL and Atlanta. For me, living in Alabama, it's a easy commute. There are many other natural organizations with shows throughout the U.S. I really think there is a strong movement underway in the sport of bodybuilding to get away from steriods and offer more and more tested shows. If you really want to give it a try, I would be glad to offer you some advice. For starters, check out my story in the Post Your Own Articles Forum, which I am continually adding to as I get closer to my competition. Thanks for your comments. I'm enjoying the ride.

I don't know too much about roids but they don't seem like a very good idea to me. I like shortcuts as much as the next guy but not when my health is at risk... Oh yeah also I don't recommend taking advice from someone who mispells the majority of the words in their reply, just something i picked up over the years
