Thinking about taking BCAA's because I plan to start cutting soon. Never taken them before but I've done some reading. Any preferred brands or tips? Much appreciated.

i've taken them when i went to a foreign country. I popped 2 or 3 every hour or so in between meals. if you have a fast metabolism... you will shred down nicely. The reason I took the bcaa's is b/c there wasn't much protein where I went. I was mainly eating some carbs, and TONS of fresh fruit. I was there for 2.5 weeks, and lost 8 pounds haha. When I came back.. my friends said I almost looked bigger b/c my muscles stayed virtually the same size and I lost fat. Don't remember which bcaa's I took. It was in a blue bottle and said "bcaa 5000" or something like that. take em between meals.. all they are is muscle food. you should get great results

Right - I went to buy some today and it was about 60 dollars. I couldn't justify it. Do you guys (who suggested it) really believe it is better than some cheaper alternatives, other than the fact that it tastes good? If so why? What about pills?

BCAAs are gonna be fairly expensive no matter what kind you get. Just make sure you check the actual amount of BCAAs per serving, as they vary from brand to brand.

I found a smaller bottle of Xtend for 20 bucks on BulkNutrition. I'm going to give it a whirl. I figure it doesnt really matter how much I spend because I'm going to stop taking creatine anyway. Thanks for everyone's help, much appreciated! Will update and let everyone know what I think.
