At The Gates (slaughter of the soul, best thrash album ever!)

Ever heard of The Haunted? Former members of At THe Gates. Pretty darn good stuff. A little more modern, but heavy.

Why yes i have heard of The Haunted. I have their first 3 albums. I didnt get rEVOLVEr because i didnt like the vocal style of the original singer. I think "The Haunted Made Me Do It" was their best.

i still think "Slaughter of The Soul" is above any of The Haunted albums.

Slayerboy, wheres Lamb of God on ur list???

He listed Lamb of God.

None of you "death" guys mentioned Amorphis. You should definately check it out, if you haven't heard it you would thank me. "Amorphis" the album "Tales From a 1000 Lakes" Insanely good and that's not just my opinion.

I was pleased at least one of you mentioned In Flames.

No old schoolers here? Deicide, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Broken Hope, Six Feet Under.

Alas, I'm too old for that stuff now though. That music makes baby jesus cry.

My favorite music for working out though.... On one hand (the right hand) Lifting music: Skrewdriver, Bound For Glory, Brutal Attack, No Remorse, Midtown Bootboys, Aggravated Assault, Fortress, Blue Eyed Devils.

On the other hand for Cardio, it's got to be dance or techno with a driving hypnotic band.... Ministry or DaftPunk come to mind.

I've always been rather partial to GWAR. Metallica is a bit mild, but I still like it. Corrosion of Conformity is good, too.

Ha Ha you are old school. I'm 30 and guessing you must be real close to my age. What, no Carcass?

One of my all-time favorite CD's is "Heartwork" by Carcass. I also have a few Decide CDs, a litle too satanic for my liking, but if I'm in a horrible mood, it does wonders to make me even angrier and get aggression out...LOL. I have a CD from Possessed somewhere here too. Obituary is another good one. I also have Suffocation's new CD in my truck right now, along with Death and a dozen or so other CD's.

Not even related to Death metal, but anyone heard of Ugly Kid Joe? Their music sucks, but their EP "As Ugly As They Wanna Be" is awesome stuff. That's another one of my all-tiem favorite CD's. I also, think I've mentioned this before, I love Social Distortion's "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell". I wore the CD out and had to buy a new one I listened to it so much!

I guess you could say that. I'm 32 and the best concert I ever went to was GWAR. The best part was walking down the sidewalk, parting the crowd like Moses because I was covered in blood...
Never heard of Carcass. I'll download some and see if I like it. Back then I was into Danzig, Misfits, Black Flag, Big Black, Dayglow Abortion, Ministry, Bad Brains, and a few others I can't remember. I've slowed a bit in my old age and I like pretty much anything but rap, hellbilly, and crybaby acoustic guitar chick music.
