I've found a pretty good way to clean up my diet for lean mass gains. I'm going to try it next week. Source: Alex D. Angelo @ Bodybuilding.com Meal # 1 - Protein, carbs & low fat Meal # 2 - Protein, fat & low carbs Meal # 3 - Protein, carbs & low fat Meal # 4 - Protein, fat & low carbs Meal # 5 - Protein, carb & low fat Meal # 6 - Protein, low carbs & low fat. I'll try this next week and see if I notice a improvement in training. My future plans for training (not official) looks like this: Last week I did 6-8x4 This week, I'm going to bump it up to 9-12x3 to trick my muscles (decided against 6-8x5 like I'd originally planned) I'll probably alternate between these two until the 2 weeks after the end of the DBB Transformation Contest, and then try my hand at a strict H.I.T. regimine, followed by the previous alternations. So 7 weeks from now, it'll probably look like this: Week 1: 6-8x4 Week 2: 9-12x3 Week 3: H.I.T. If anyone has any suggestions (or warnings) I'd like to know.

WORKOUT: Deadlift 9-12x3 (to failure) Bench Press 9-12x3 (to failure) Assisted Pullup 9-12x3 (to failure) Seated Leg Press 9-12x3 (to failure and yelling. LOL.) Sweat profusely in this workout. I guess my body responds better to this rep/set range. And the diet clean up probably helped too. All and all it was a GREAT workout. Meal 4: 1tsbp of peanut butter, giant ham and cheese sandwich (low fat ham and Muenster), some pieces of popcorn shrimp, 1 banana. Meal 5: Can of tuna, asparagas, mixed vegetables, 3 packets of oatmeal, piece of cheese (muenster).

Thanks man. I hear ya on the toughness. I quit for 8 months once but gave in to depression/peer pressure (I wasn't nearly as headstrong then). My mood has been so good since I started working out, so I figured the endorphine rush will definitely help me quit. Although on days I don't workout...I'm generally antsy as hell. In fact, tommorow, I rest, but it's going to SUCK (I'm ALWAYS wanting to go to the gym. I'd go 7 days a week if it didn't catabolize. lol)

I know I ask too many questions, but does anyone think I'm going to overtrain if I continue with my current regimine? The more I read, the more I'm leaning towards doing split training.

Meal 1: Whole Ultimate sub (Taverna Ham, Salami, Roast beef, Turkey) Meal 2: 6 Steamed dumplings Meal 3: 1 can of tuna, 3 packets of oatmeal. Meal 4: PB Sandwich, can of tucket, packet of oatmeal. Smoking: Cut down quite a good bit. Tried cold turkey, but nearly puked from the withdrawals (yes, it's that bad of a habit). I'm opting to gradually cut down until I can totally nix it.

I don't know how they do increase my appetite but they do. LOL. I'm guessing it's because of the high amounts of Vitamin C, D, and A. All I know is, they make me hungry as hell.

WORKOUT: Hammer curls 9-12x3 (to failure) Standing curls 9-12x2 (to failure) Preacher Curls 9-12x3 (to failure) Incline Bench 12x2, 10x1 (to failure) Standard Bench 12x3 (to failure) Decline Bench 12x2 (to failure) Ab machine 12x1, 10x2 (to failure) Different Ab Machine 15x1, 12x1 (to failure) Cardio for 8 minutes (5 regular, 3 cool down) (Even though I'm trying to get big and gain mass, I did this to flush the acid buildup out of my system after reading Danmirage's article on gaining mass) NOTES: After tonights workout, I officially want a new left arm! LOL. It's a lot weaker than my right, but I figured if I work it (or try to) on the same level as my right, it will catch up, even if the right arm doesn't fail on a set like the left does. Meal 4: PB Sandwich, Can of Tuna, full cup of cottage cheese. Meal 5: Protein Shake Meal 6: 2 heaping TB spoons full of Peanut, Protein Shake with 2 scoops (40gs), a peice of bread

Meal 1: Whole roast beef sub Meal 2: Metrx pure protein bar & a bag of peanuts Meal 3: (Dirty...I had no choice because I was at a str...er...'place to put girls through college') peice chicken tender basket with fries Meal 4: repeat of meal 2 After hearing NOTHING but POSITIVE reviews about Chad Waterbury's AHHB program, I've decided to give it a shot. I like the variety in it, the days (1 on, off), and the fact that many people have gotten great results. Plus, Waterbury also makes a good case about his methods. LET THE SORENESS BEGIN!
