Gracias Ripped!!

I did the 5k today. Did my cardio for the day :) I really wanted to do the 10k but that's okay. I am doing another run next month that will be 10k.

I enjoyed it and I felt better about it I was able to run/jog the whole thing at a good pace. I think I came in @29 or 30 mins. I will know for sure when it gets posted.

The other day I did leg presses, deadlifts, and lunges and my legs are still killing me. I am trying to figure out what made them so sore. All three or the deadlifts. Form and weight were appropriate because I had someone help me with it and make sure I was doing the deadlifts correctly. I had a 45lb+35lb plate on each side on the leg press.

Regardless, I kinda like the feeling.

Gracias thehardway!!

I rested today.

I miss the kickboxing and muay tai so this week I will go in at least twice.

I am also going to get rid of the coffee. It is a habit now-the days I do not drink it I am in a mood and I get a weird headache. I want to increase the water--I think this will fourse me to drink more water (and more green tea).

Meals are ready for the week!

M3: tuna/greenbeans/1/2 tablespoon of cream of
     mushroom
M4: protein pudding
M5: brocc/tuna/green beans/HOTTTT homemade salsa

3 liters of water <---this is good. I am having a hard time
drinking water in the winter time.

A good leg workout will probably make you sore pretty easily, at least until you get more adapted to the weight. I know sometimes squats make me really sore for days (though less lately now that I'm hitting them twice a week.) It isn't a sign you did anything wrong (in fact get sore at least occasionally is a good sign you're doing something right).

Kudos on doing the deadlifts, there are a few pretty big fellas on this forum that are too chicken to do them. Smile

My meals have been the same.  I did not work out today.
I did yesterday--I did bis and tris and some chest. ran 1.5 miles.

Actually I am having issues. Cravings are MAD, energy is low.

I already had at least 3 liters of water and like 3 cups of green tea to help with the water retention.

If I am dying tonight to eat something I am gonna eat some cottage cheese if I just cannot stand it anymore.

ooo I see I have grapefruit I might have one.

You run a lot faster than me. How long does it take you to do 1.5 miles?

I dunno Bobbi. Even tho the time is right in front of me I only look at the distance and speed. I will pay attention tomorrow and let ya know.

I normally start @ 7 then 8 then 9. Most of the time I keep it at 8 mph.

I am going to do this--->http://www.sandiegomudrun.com/
the 10k
as an individual.
last time I did this in October my time was 1:28

Did back today. It was a great feeling!
Elliptical 20 mins<----I am liking this thing.

I ran 1.5 miles in 11:56 at 7/8mph. Most of the time @ 8-the faster I go the sooner I finish.
I also walked @ 4mph for .25 miles.

Diet was good.

I was feeling blah again.  I did not do any cardio. I only did legs.

Deadlifts- 50lbs <-----I know I can lift more than 50 pds.
Lunges w/2  20 pound dumbells
Leg press--270 lbs
Leg extensions 40 lbs I think?
I walked for 5 mins @4mph.

Arms are not my favorite. Legs are my new favorite! I am starting to wear dresses/skirts. My legs do not look like thick tree trunks anymore.

I think it is finally sinking in that I am not a big ole fatty.
I wish I could realize it faster. I still see myself fat most of the time. ENUFF--I just wanted to vent a little about that.

I was going to do some kickboxing/muay tai. I forgot my backpack with all my stuff tho. It is a nice break tho.

Maybe tomorrow.

Took the week-end day off. Bought food for the week. I am going to eat a lot of fish this week. I bought some salmon/spinach/chicken breast. I am gonna eat oatmeal and protein powder for breakfast. I am getting sick of the eggs. I also need to increase fiber. So, I know that oatmeal and flaxmeal will do it.  I wanted to work out on Sat but there was a parade downtown and it blocked several blocks.

This week I am still gonna do a lot of cardio and weights. I am getting comfortable with the weights and moving them around.

Don't forget your kickboxing if it's something you enjoy doing.Smile Trying to find a balance between it all can be tough, but it's worth it to keep group activities for training in your program. Otherwise you may burn out lifting and doing cardio alone all of the time. But that's just how I feel about it.Smile
