I got veins too....they pump blood to the various areas in my body to keep me alive and moving. lol sorry someone had to do it Smile.  That aside, I know what you mean, I used to be kinda chubby before I started working out and had no visible veins whatsoever, but now their appearing everywhere. I got this real nice one that skwiggles on the outside of my forarm. near the bend. Another thing, talking about what girls like or don't like, they really like the cutline leading from the outside of your abs down to the groin, drives em wild, like its a sign pointing them in the right direction lmaoSmile, Im actually starting to get veins there too.

Im not sure but i noticed people get them when they start using supplements

Naaa, it is something the body does when you work hard...to get more oxygenated blood into the muscle.  I had em before I was a teen from lifting...they just get bigger with more demands and over time.

I think they get bigger more from power movements in the lower rep range...but if you get cut enough, you do see dem veins!

Most of my past girlfriends would disagree with you, they liked the vascularity and stuff, (and not all were bodybuilders or powerlifters!)

Though, I do love vascularity on women! Smile

Man, you all are hanging with the wrong babes! LOL!

When I had my wisdom teeth yanked (all four at once... FUN!!!), I opted for intravenous sedation. Since I was visiting an oral surgeon, one of the nurses (a scorching hottie with piercing eyes and an angelic voice) set up my IV. With her back turned to me, she asked me to roll up my sleeve as she unwrapped some gauze and prepared her equipment. When she turned around with the tourniquet in her hand, she paused, took one look at my forearm and said with a surprised grin, "I guess we won't be needing this." When she had finished taping the needle doohickey to my arm, she said, "You have beautiful vascularity -you should count yourself lucky." Smile

Of course, this was long before I started working out again, so she could have just been blowing smoke up my *** to calm my nerves or flatter me. Ahhh... such bedside manner Smile

Seriously tho, I've met lots of women who claim to like that look. They must know, as many of us do, that prominent veins are one indication of an extremely low body fat percentage, and are part of the total package of being truly "ripped to shreds". No, they're not in the majority, sadly, but they do exist, gents. Go forth and seek them out! Smile

Yes, that's me in my avatar, and NO, I don't look like that today. That was taken back in Jan '07, and I lost most of that progress when I slacked off last year. I'm on my way back, tho, and I'm using that photo for inspiration.

I've only just starting lifting again after a 5 year break but I have visible veins going across my chest and towards my shoulders.  Some visible veins in my forearms.  I've always found the hardest for me are the big veins popping out on my biceps but that's my goal.

Not too many girls like it too much but stiff - I do this for me not for them.
