Before bed on Keto? - Thursday, December 20, 2007 4:50 PM
What's something good to eat before bed on Keto?  Also will the small amount of carbs in whey ruin the effects of Keto?

the whey isnt a significant source of carbs but in some ppl it can cause an insulin spike (or so i've heard)

peanut butter and casein before is fine. i still have my whole meal plan from when i did keto if u want it

Ok i'll post it for everyone to see

VERY IMPORTANT: idk if ur at all prone to acne/pimples but i would only get the occasional pimple but after about 5 weeks on keto i got serious acne which lead to stress and more acne and its still not gone so be careful with that. if u see any signs of more acne than normal stop keto. but still it may be too late at that point. that was just my experience tho and im 16 and there are other ppl who follow keto and dont get acne.

for keto my review of it would be that when bulking it gave very good muscle gains but also alot of fat gains, basically because i was gaining at like 2.5-3lb. a week cause i added too  many calories (the reason being because that first week when i lost water weight and didnt gain any weight i didnt think about the water and jacked up the calories). for fat loss it was pretty good, the main reason i stopped was because of the acne.  the food isnt as good on it though but it wasnt bad IMO.

ok that took a long ass time with the color coding. basically what the colors mean is that the bottom ratio's of that color represent all the foods in black, that color, and any colors prior to it. so u basically have a diet for any calorie needs between 2400-3900

Does keto have a history of producing acne or could it have been you are still a teen and puberty and all that crap?

well its extremely high in fat which alone can cause acne but its also supposed to increase hormones which will also increase acne. all i know is my acne was the same for years, right when i go on keto it gets 5x worse...i'd say theres a connection

Thanks for posting the diet man. As far as the acne goes I'm not looking forward to that, I've already got some on my shoulders that I don't like.

Yeh I'm going to be doing Keto, might not follow that diet exactly, but it'll be a keto diet definitely.

Gonna be some hardcore cuts too .  I'm dirty bulking until the second week in January, when I hope to be 184-187, I'm at 179 now.

Then I'll cut down to 170 for my vacation in May .

cool, if u need any more advice on it let me know. remember not to take the first weeks weight fluctuations affect u much because alot of it will be water. also ive always heard to not start off doing much cardio when u do it

-dont have a carb up day for the first 2 weeks u go on it
-after that have a carb up day once a week with 500-1000 calories more than normal days and a ratio of about 65%carbs/ 30% protein/ 5% fat

Do I need to do carb up days?  Also for a carb up day could I keep the same diet, but just add in 500-100 cals of  pasta?
