The real guy
http://www.purepowerlifting.com/all_american_bp_2000.htm

He posts on go heavy as well, but it seems also like the real guy.

our Swanky seems to emulate his not spacing after punctuation, but in go heavy he doesn't always do it.

Swachammer and Swackhammer are two variant spellings of the same surname (at least according to some genealogy sites). Some people use a couple different spellings of their name, but that's usually if they're in show-business or one spelling is particularly hard or has ambiguous pronunciation.

There are posts by somebody going by the name Dan Swackhammer (with a K) on a powerlifting board that appears to be the same person as our swacky460; even with the same unusual use of punctuation with no spaces after it.

Edit: Ooops, everybody beat me to it while I was typing.

Threads like these annoy me. It all starts with a new member. Who can bench outragesly large numbers for their size. Then every person who is actually experienced wastes good minutes of their life Proclaiming how good they are. From now on why not just ignore them?

Good Post!

For being 14 your probably the wisest out of us 3 who actually waisted our energy on this post.

Although I think it may have been worth it because I have really been thinking about the routine swacky wrote down..

See, what bothers me about potential imposters, (and I thought about this last night, I stayed late at work because of this thread, and that is rediculous); is that people will take advice based on perceived experiance. Not saying that his bench routine was bad, per say.

It is a dodgey enough proposition, taking training advice from stranges on line, all of us hear are regular, we know who's methodology we like , and who's we don't, and who's is maybe different but worth listening to.

To have someone come on here, who continue=ally boast and drop lots of names so that people will liisten to them is generally a red flag, and then to have them give advice, or state their own training that is incongruent to their gaols, with 20 plus years experiance, well we the regulars might be able to sniff out that his claims are potentially fraudulent, or at least warrent scrutiny, but the newbies won't. They will take it at face value. They think they are talking to an expert.

That is a dangerous scenario. I don't want someone to get hurt. And I personally hate liars.

I believe somoundou reps at 405 without a second though, I really wouldn't think any less of his training knowledge if he benched 225. I respected his opinion way before he ever made it known what he can put up. I aquired this respect because of the predecessing months of advice that was sound well thought out and intelligant.

It is not the weight of his bench that caused me to stay late and post to this thread, it was the way he presented himself, to others as well as the training he himself claims he does, and more importantly, why he is training himself that way. .. Because it doesn't add up, and I don't want to see anybody, hurt because of it.

what's it like to bench that much? do you go from about 200lbs to 300lbs in a year or 2, then maybe put on 50 lbs, then 20 lbs, then 10 lbs, then just constantly put on 5 lbs a year? i mean eventually it has to slow down bc of age. otherwise we'd all be benching thousands of lbs. i hope to be at 300 by summer.

I've never benched 400 but 355 aint that far....  The way it feels depends on your perspective...

While actually doing the warmup set of 155...I doesnt seem like you'll be able to bench  more than twice that...  At home   Its sorta like the scene in the Movie "Unbreakable" with Bruce Willis...the weight's put on..then you lift it almost amazed.

When you're at the gym its a completely different story...  You get to watch the othre people stare at you; before the lift--when they see how much weight is on the bar; they make their comments.."that's too much weight", "he's gonna need a spot for that weight","betcha he just bounces it off his chest", etc...  YOu then take the weight off the rack ( I never use a "lift off"), feel the weight, then lower it slowly to your chest,  as your nervous system adjusts to the weight you focus on your chest... the plates slightly "gong" against each other, the gym usually goes pretty quiet and then you squeeze and blow...you squeeze out another rep and another and then maybe another ( you might give a lil' growl to add some extra drama)Smile...Then rack the weight (Some people let out a gym shaking clank to put emphasis on hom much they just lifted) and enjoy the props (people asking you about your routine; hatas in the back SWEARING your GOTTA be doing roids etc...

LoL thats like the 22 year old at my gym.. he puts up 550 and everyone in the room just watches..  people stop working out and just stair in dis belief...  When he does it everyone is just shaking their head because there isn't a word they can say... Clean rep no bouncing no arching and the spotters hands were not even close to the bar.    I don't see many people look when people press 350  but 405 makes the heads turn also..   I hope to be able to do 405 one day...

Then again you go to golds and no one really cares.. the only reason some people go to golds is because 150lb dumbells aren't enough weight for them they need the dumbells to go up to 200+ lbs.

and what gym is this? my college gym, everyone does between 135-225 usually. every now and then a football player from the team will roll in and do 400, but they have their own gym. but it's a little different, because they weigh 350 lbs. guys on this forum weigh my weight and put up 400+ which is rediculous.
