hey.. i just read over your entire journal here pretty much, and you're making some serious gains. I'm thinking about starting HST, and am impressed with how you've done.

ORIGINAL: edrice2 im working towards it. right now im eating oatmeal at breakfast and then pwo a banana, rest of the day no carb sources...works out to be just under 100g on non-workout and 120g on workout...this is including fiber from nuts and stuff tho, subtrat another 30 or so fiber. i started last wednseday, got side tracked the first 2 days back at school, but monday got back on it. although my carbs arent low enough to get into ketosis yet, im sort of trying out lower carbs first then all i would need to do is cut the oatmeal and banana and id be good to go. the first few days i got some quality diarrhea but that has stopped. i actually lost 3.5 lbs the first two days, just from water weight which was a change haha...i definitely noticed that i dont feel bloated after eating either, probably a lot because its less quantity of food, since denser calorically. enery levels arent really effected positively or negatively. when you were on keto, what was your pwo shake/meal? i know people use smarties or sweet tarts for dextrose, any other ideas you have? nahh my post workout meal was 8 oz red meat,8 oz green salad,1 tbsp olive oil and vinegar i didnt have any kind of carbs while i was doing this diet(only carbs were from nuts ,salads,pb)im gonna make a journal next week with a similar diet(bulking)u can check it out later on

silverfox-thanks, i appreciate it. i havent tried hst out yet, but done mainly full body or upper/lower splits in the last few months. i like them a lot, i was able to get consistent gains for awhile over christmas break, im afraid back at school they will slow some as my activity levels are much higher and sleep a little less. i would say try hst out, i see alot of good results from it super saiyan-sounds good. im feeling no energy lack at all, so im thinking i will start keto soon, like i said its really just a matter of replacing my oatmal and pwo banana, seems simple enough. i could get used to the diet actually, im pretty into my nuts, peant butter, cheese, meat and veggies actually...been whipping up a pretty good, olive oil chicken the last few days, good times...currently my calories are at like 3100 ish, which was actually a slight increase from my past 50% carb diet, whihc was 2850ish, tho activity levels were increased too. despite the calorie difference, ive actually gotten a bit leaner as well. ill check out your journal, im curious to your diet and getting more ideas about keto, thanks by the way

so this week has been scattered and busy with school and all that good stuff, havent missed any workouts or meals but they havent been great either. im going to be going back to afull body outine starting monday, 3 days a week.,..or perhaps also a day where i just deadlift and do core work. ive started adding some cardio after working out, partially becaus ei just want to get into really good shape, not necesarrily to lose weight...tho i have been losing bf, which is nice i am really liking a high fat diet. some simple, beautiful concotions ive made up: 4 whole eggs a lot of shredded cheese a heap of guacamole hot sauce 1-2 tbsp olive oil chicken breast mushrooms asparagus yum

im going to be doing 2 full body days then an upper and a lower day, so 4 total per week. full body a today squats: 135 3X8 db bench: 50's 3X8 oh press: 72.5 3X8 pullups: 3X5 abs 35 3X12 this is restarting my rep ranges and starting low weight so i can be sure to be able to apply progressive overload for awhile. squats are atg, not just below parallel anymore my next two workouts are lower then upper, then full body b...tomorrows off diet is good, fiber shouldnt be a worry im eating enough between veggies and nuts/pb etc. im becoming leaner which is nice. still feeling good energy, and still really like eating low carb. im contemplating a carb cycle in the near future, not sure yet.

upper body db bench: 52.5s 3X8 db rows: 65's 3X8 shoulder press: 35's 3X8 dips: 2X8 pullups: 2X5 felt good, nothing major still low in my lifts so im comfortably improving each time. diet good, basically just eating a lot of fat and protein, its getting me a little leaner and yet to compromise energy or strength much, sort of experimenting more than anything. tomorrow off then full body b

full body a squats: 165 3X8 bench: 55s 3X8 oh press: 80 2X8, 1X7 pulllups: 8,7,6 abs: 35 2X12 decided to really bullk up thru at least feb and unsure of march as of now, ill play it by ear. im basically just eating a lot of food, ibb style haha. after adding carbs back in ive been able to gain all the weighthat i lost back and then a bit, tho i think its bloating. this morning was 154.5, im thinking itl be more like 152 tomorrow, i was pretty bloated more so than normal. i have to say, energy is clearly better with carbs, tho i wouldnt say it lacks that much w o them, but theres a notable difference as well. tomorrows off then wed back at it

well ive been sick, got through wednesdays good but theursday felt like ass so i called it a day after squats and took fri sat sun off. im also going back to low carbs, which i still might cycle since thats what ive just done basically and liked it. ive noticed that theres like a day or two where i could literally eat an assload of food and not gain fat but just fill back out, which was strange then i started to gain a bit of fat, so im gunna tone that down next time i go higher carbs. but regardless, its high fat right now. im also mixing up my routine a bit, going to a 4 day split for a bit to mix things up. ive gotten great results on upper lower when i was sedentary over break and could iterally eat and lift but now that im more active wlaking and what not my recovery time is less, so that im not really seeing strength gains. just doing chest/tris, back/bis, legs, shoulders/core for a few weeks chest/tris bench: 55's 3X8 incline: 47.5's X8, 2X6 incline flyes: 35's 3X8 lying tri ext: 55's 3X8 dips: 8,6 squats: 135 X8 i lied, im actually going to be squattng on every day for a set as warmup and progressively increase that (so next time 145, etc.), its unrelated to my leg day but just cause i like doing them haha

back deadlifts: 135 X8, 185 X8, 225 3X5 pullups: 8, 2X6 db rows: 70's 3X5 db curls: 25's 3X8 focusing a lot on perfect form, pullups felt drained but rows felt good so who knows, but overall good except for a split callace on my right hand that started bleeding and being pesky, aso did some cardio after, im working that up diet is still good, didnt weigh today will tomorrow tho. im losing bodyfat tho visibly so thats good. tomorrow is shoulders/abs
