do these look 16 inches to you? you can say no.. my feelings won't be hurt. quote:
ORIGINAL: IBendBarbells quote:
how are you lifting what you lift with only 16 inch biceps? is that flexed, or relaxed. seems that if it's flexed, you should have larger ones than me, for I am 25 lbs lighter. but if it's relaxed.. then that is quite impressive. I don't mean to sound like a dick or anything but 16 inch biceps are much bigger then what most people on this site think. I have yet to see many people on here who's arms look nearly the size of my own who claim to have 16 inch biceps. They are almost 16 1/2 pumped flexed I don't know anymore. My left is only slightly over the 16 mark.

ORIGINAL: IBendBarbells So my trainer incorperated Floor press into the arm routine today... This should be interesting, I can't say I have ever done it before.. He sure has been getting on me about my press lately.. Jesus I always got to hear about it.. First I drop the weight all the way back and work on form now he is like come on more more more!!! What does this guy want from me ugh! I am not going to be pressing 315 for 10 reps like he is. Atleast not anytime soon... Anyways he want's me to improve my pressing strength, I think he is baffled about how my incline just about caught my flat bench. I guess he says he can increase it in the next 3 - 4 weeks significantly. I am just listening to this guy, he is the big man.... I feel like a test dummy or something.. 5 sets of 10 with 205lbs? Damn the guy trying to kill me or something?! Now 2 days later he has me doing floor press's and on sunday he wants me to go 10 8 6 4 ugh! I guess sunday I am not allowed to screw around with 225 anymore It's not that I don't want to push my self... I just worry that im going to fail to quickly and then lose the strength for the next set and look like an idiot. 5 sets of 10 on 205 is alot. and what exactly is a "floor press". i've never heard of it before. I don't think you will fail quickly.. but that is quite a bit of weight, and for him to expect you do have the endurance to do that seems idiotic on his part. * if i'm cluttering your online journal, let me know and i will post elsewhere or in PM's. *

Its all good. A floor press is done from the ground.. You bench the weight as you would do on a flat bench only your triceps press against the floor on the down and that's as low as you can go, you touch then press. Sometimes hold then press. But the press is different., you put your arms more toward the inside and it focuses more on your triceps. This is why in another post I made on here I had said people who only go 90 degrees on the bench might as well be floor pressing. Although the form when working your triceps on a floor press is different then on a bench press. Like I said arms a little more to the inside come down the floor stops your triceps and then press back up. "its pretty freaking hard!" I could only do 225 for 8 reps 3 sets. 205 x 10 for 5 sets shocked me to man.. I honestly didn't think I could do it.. I only got 45 total reps on my own though, 5 were assisted because my arms were giving out. Honestly.. Your arms look like they are right at the 16 mark possibly just below it. Get an accurate measuring tape from www.discountanabolics.com They have measuring tapes that make it so much easier to measure your self, some people take the measurement at a slant and it throws them off by up to an inch. Last year I thought my arms were 16 inches I accuratly measured them and they came out to be 15 1/2 inches. It's hard to tell from a pic how big someones arms are since they could just have a really nice shape to them. You having 16 inch arms at your weight and 6'1 is very rare.. Those are big arms for that size.. I am not saying it's not possible though, my arms happen to be small for my weight. They just look bigger because they are narrow.

same here. i'm contemplating if i should bulk throughout the summer or not. granted, i probably won't have that 6 pack of abs that i've always wanted, but i will look like a horse. u r right, it's hard to guess a person's biceps from just a picture. b/c it could be very full and round and you can't really see that from a pic. I re-measured my biceps the other day and they have gained 1/4 of an inch so far with the "cycle of PH" i'm taking. very happy about that. the floor press sounds really hard. I saw someone doing that one day. wanted nothing to do with it haha. Do you do it with a BB, or DB's? b/c i'm trying to picture how this would work with 225 lbs like you mentioned. does someone have to hand you the weights after you've layed down on the floor, or what?

Yeah someone has to hand the bar to you off the bench.. Which sucks cause my boy uses 315 for reps so I had to carry that off the bench on to him.. Ugh!! You do it with a barbell if you don't have a squat you can do it from the squat rack.

I am starting to feel a little better now.. Time to start chowing down again!! I think the mix of everything I am taking + the havoc was a bad idea.. So I cut out the havoc a couple days ago.. I am starting to feel better today.. I think it was just to much strain on my liver, I got to take it easy for the next couple weeks. I have almost totally avoided alcohol.. Just 1 - 2 drinks when I go out if that. I was drinking soda last weekend.

Just don't go out. Think off all the money you'll save. Plus once you end the cycle you can have a huge "I just gained 30 pounds, time to drink away 5 of them" party.

wow. was looking over your last workout. looks fun. i wanna go back to isolation workouts. it would be fun to workout with you sometime b/c from the numbers you posted i'm pretty sure I could hold my own on most of the sets. On the drinking issue, I told my friends this weekend that I wasn't drinking and my reasons, and they laughed at me. Then.. they sorta got pissed, but they got over it. I'm trying to not drink at all for a couple of months.

Just curious, why'd you include Havoc with your AAS cycle? Also which test are you using? quote:
