edit: re: temperature. As the temperature decreases, so does the flavor profile. That's why beers such as say molson canadian or other name brand lagers (aka, the ones that get advertised by hot chicks in tube tops) are best ice cold, because you can't taste it. For the same reason a cold shot of espresso should be poured down the drain.
