Hey everyone, just introducing myself as well. About a year ago I started a muscle building program because I was sick and tired of being skinny. So I researched it for a while, and got down to business. I'm 6 foot, and I started at 140 lbs. After 6 months of following the program, I was at 180 lbs with the majority of my gains being lean muscle mass. It has changed my life in many ways. At the moment I weigh in at just over 190lbs. I also started a website (link is in my signature) about building muscle, teaching people what has worked well for me and many other skinny guys wanting to bulk up fast. I hope I can contribute to these great forums in some way, and in turn learn a lot more myself.

just to give a bit of what i did , i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 9-2006 at the age of 48 , weighing in at 300 lbs at 5`10" , started a strict diabetic diet and induced walking , with the weather turning colder by 11-2006 i pirchased a Bladez elliptical and started doing nothing but cardio it was very hard for me at 1st but gradually work at it , by the time 7-2007 came along i came down from a 50 waist size pants , xxl shirt to a size 36 waist size ,xl shirt with a loss of 100 lbs ! yes it was alot of work and self disapline , seeing that i was wasting away muscle i purchased a olmpic bench and weight`s along with a complete set of dumbbells to go along with it and started to weight train as of now ( 4-2008 ) my blood gloucose level`s has dropped wonderfully and are very under controll in which it has made me very happy knowing that the meds i was on have been cut in half , along with cholestrerale levels and blood pressure all has come down to make the dr`s smile and say i have done very good , and with me picking up 20lb`s and feeling so much stronger than i did when i started this , i know to alot that this may not be a big deal but to me it was a journey i never thought id finished but i stuck to it and great results , currently i am working harder to reduce even more fat and trying to see 185 lbs b4 i can say i am done and working even more with the weights that have become my second life . i want to say that this is a intresting web site and im very glad i have found it , to those that think they cant do such thing`s as i and as many others have done , dont give up keep at it even when it gets to be a hard thing for you to do and to those that are in wonderfull phisic i envy them being i wish i was 30 years younger but being closer to turning 50 i will keep the faith and hard work up to see my goal of 185 that i have set . wishing all a hello and a blessing .

Hey guys a friend of mine from the gym referred me over here. My name's Chris, I'm turning 17 in less than three weeks and have been lifting for the last year. Only four months ago did I actually get serious and buy a gym membership. I'm on the short side, only 5'5 weighing in at 128ish lbs. I've been taking creatine and just started taking 100% whey protein. I'm sure you'll see me here alot.

Whats going on DBB!!!! I was hitting the gym 5 days a week for about 2-3 months, lost about 20lbs, well then the holidays game and i lost it. I stopped going to the gym and i gained the weight that i have previously lost. Well i got fed up and i am so motivated to do this and do it right. I started hitting the gym again this week and did a total 360 with my diet. Right now im just getting use to working out my muscles again, feeling pretty sore. lol. I dont take much other then my whey and some vitamins.. Ive thought about taking some sups but just not really sure about it. Anyway, the forum seems like it rocks so i hope i enjoy my stay!

I'm Tim and working to drop about 50 pounds and gain muscle mass. This is a great site, and more informative than most books in the bookstores.

Hey everyone, I am 30 years old and have been working out since HS. I Can remember being 135 when I graduated!! Anyway, when I was younger all I cared about was size. Now at 30 all I care about is being healthy and fit! I am currently 6" 200lbs and dont really want to get much heavier. I am a Police Officer and just want to keep the "unwanted" donut weight off for my career. I have found this site to be very helpful already for my needs. Thanks to everyone in advance! Well I am here to stay, love the site!
