Hi Lmen2007, and everybody else. I'm 38, decided it was FINALLY time to get in shape, so I bought Marc's book, and I'm ready to get going. I actually started on my own several months ago, and lost 20 lbs, but I've hit a wall and need some help with the "next steps".

Hi all, I'm 38, 5ft9, female and been training hard for 11 months now. Started off at 187lb and am currently 163lb. My goal is perfection (ha! got a long way to go yet). My reason for joining is to gain some knowledge and support from like minded people. Despite a lot of research and reading I still get confused (no, its not a woman thing). Hope to meet some great folk here and have intelligent bb chats. (*just _anana bodybuilder*)

Howdy! I just joined up a couple days ago. I'm 33, male, and started working out about 6 weeks ago. I currently live in St Louis. I'm glad to be here! I've been living in these forums over the last few days, and have been so impressed with the consistency that I've found. Its nice to see everyone on pretty close to the same philosophies for weight loss and muscle gain. I started at about 400 lbs, and am down to 369 in 6 weeks! Woot!

Good Afternoon guys, Well, to being I'd like to say nice website. A very nice place to start to learn about how to grow in your knowledge of muscle building. Alright to begin. I'm Marius. 17 years old. Throughout my life I battled being obess and overweight. 35 - 39% Body Fat at my my cruisal times. I was young and loved to eat. The summer of my Sophmore years going into Junior, I decided, I needed to do something about being 255 pounds. So... make a long story short didn't eat much, starved my body, only giving it fruits, and would wake up at 3 am to 9 am to play Basketball, and would rest go to work and get home 8 and to 11 would play more basketball to lose some weight. So I did and in about 3 months I lost 85 pounds. Ever since then I lost about another 20 - 25 pounds just doing w/e. Weighting now at 146 pounds. Lots of sacrifice. Well I took up Weight training in school made some gains but since I would not eat didn't get to big. Only Benched 200 pounds in a 5 month progression from 155. Well for now, I want to begin again. I'd love all the help I could get to build my body up. I enjoy Bruce Lee, and he is my motivation. I dont have any specific, things yet but I'm still determinating goals. Nice to meet everyone and, once again thank you for allowing me to get started on this site. Have a wonderful day, Marius

Hi my name is Jon, I am 23, 235 lbs 5'10". I have started lifting 3 times a week in about January, I was at 252. I am looking to be able to "see my muscles". Also what is the best way to figure how many calories I burn at work?

Hi. I'm Bri. I'm a 27 year old, 6' 1" elementary school music teacher from NY. In January, 2006 I weighed in at 306lbs. I don't know what my body fat % was. With the help of a hypnotist I was able to take control of my health. As of July 1, 2007 I'm 200lbs and about 20% body fat. I use an "Inner Scan by Tanita" scale to monitor my body fat %. I weight train at 5am - I follow a new muscle and fitness routine every 1-3 months. I'm currently starting week 4 from March 2007. I also box for fitness 3 times a week after work. Now that it's the summer months, I've added swimming 3 days a week (the days I don't box.) Both are a few hours after lifting. My goal is probably the same as everyone else. I want to drop body fat and gain lean nuscle mass. So far I'e been successful. But I know as I get leaner and leaner it's going to get harder and harder...that's why I'm here. I eat as clean as I can - the willpower is there 85-90% of the time. My "morning stack" is: multi-vitaimin, green tea supppliment, greens suppliment, fish oil suppliment, carnatine, arginine, bcaa suppliment, and korean ginseng. My "evening stack" is: EFA suppliment, fish oil suppliment, green tea suppliment, arginine, and bcaa suppliment. When I lift: I drink a pre-workout shake consisting of 10g. Whey, 10g. Casien, and 5g creatine. My post workout shake consists of 20g. Whey, 20g. Casien, 5g. creatine, 5g. glutamine, and 3 scoops of gatorade powder (for the simple carbs - that's 60g's worth.) Immediatly before and after working out I take a bcaa suppliment. When I don't lift (and do cardio only): I drink a pre-workout shake consisting of 10g. Whey, 10g. Casien. My post workout shake consists of 20g. Whey, 20g. Casien. Immediatly before and after working out I take a bcaa suppliment. Before my cardio on lifting days I drink a cup of coffee. After my cardio I drink a post workout shake consisting of 40g. Whey.

im thirty years old and in the last year have lost over 55 lbs. I am very strict atkins and have lost most my weight through yoga and light lifting. Im not a hard gainer. For every five pounds i lose, i lose one dress size. i have lost three dress sizes in the last two weeks and lost no weight, right now i am at 165 wearing a size seven. I know i have muscle in their somewhere because my waist is very tone and in relationship to the rest of my body my arms and legs are pretty big, and starting to get a little definition. Any way what im trying to say is i would like help in being more defined and getting the most out of my limited diet. This looks like a good forum. I look forward to being a part of it

Hey! I've been in Fitness for almost 15 years and finally decided to apply what I know and do a Figure competition! Ohh boy! I'm gonna browse around and see what help I can get to prepare! I've got my eye on a suit and they are sending me sample fabric so I can choose a color... If I've got questions, I'll look before I ask! Just in case it's posted somewhere else. Can't wait to see what happens over the next 10 weeks!! Whoo hoo!
