Well, lets see... I spend about $70 a week on the protein supps and the fiber sup will last two weeks at $30/bottle so thats $15 a week. The flax seed bags are only $6 or so a bag and lasts ATLEAST a week. The Hot Rox was $35 I believe and it will last the whole month. So we are looking at $100 a week aprox so $400 is about right. Its actually cheaper than normal diets if you buy all of your own food. Not many people can eat 5-6 meals a day on $14 a day. If not cheaper, its surely not any more expensive.

Day 9 and 10 of 30 Weight: 209.5 lbs (as of day 9) Sorry I couldnt post yesterday. I have been on the road visiting a college that I am looking at for next year. Its been tough not to eat here, coaches taking you out and buying everything but I have done faily well. I had a few chips last night, soem egg whites and onions this morning, shakes all day and then had dinner with the coaches family (had to eat) but I had didn't eat too much or too bad. I also ran a hard mile after dinner to try and balance the carb intake. I'll be coming back home tomorrow so I'll consider that my one meal this week and be strict again all week. We'll see what my weight is tomorrow night when I post again.

Day 11 of 30 Weight: didn't weigh Well I didn't get to get a workout in today, my flight got in late and I wasn't home til around 10 PM. I also had a cheeseburger from wednesday today. I know so shoot me, 3 hours of driving 2 1/2 hours of flying and a cheeseburger. I don't think it'll hurt me too much here, might even promote further fat loss this week. Either way I did some HI cardio yesterday but I am not gonna do anything today because I am tired and I want to go to bed. I did get my new biotest protein in while I was gone so I'll be getting on that this week. No solid food from here til day 21 to make sure I am back on track. VIVA VELOCITY

Day 12 of 30 Weight: 212 lbs Looks like the 3 days added some water weight back pretty quickly. Today's workout was chest and biceps and went pretty well. I finally got them to test my bf% again and she didn't calculate it out really but told be it was still around 22%. I personally don't think that's correct and I am not one to lie to myself. I simply can look and see more definition, I weigh 16lbs less than when I started this summer and I know that when she calculated it she didn't even take into consideration my height or weight and also said it was tough to get a good fold that was all fat and not fat and muscle so thats another reason it could be off. Furthermore, it was only a 4 point measurement. I am not sold on the skinfold method because take this into consideration: EXAMPLE I start at 200lbs with 30lbs of fat (15% fat) a) I lose 20lbs of muscle making me 180lbs (16.6% fat) b) I gain 20lbs of muscle making me 220lbs (13.6% fat) HOWEVER using a skin fold caliper a AND b would result in 15% fat because the skin folds haven't changed. She told me I could have lost of a lot of muscle but my lifts are all equal or better than when I started. Either way I am gonna keep at it and see where we end up in the end. I would be more skeptical if all of the weight I lost came from the velo diet but for the first 4 weeks I was doing it right and theres no way I didn't lose some % then. On another note I've commited to Virginia Tech for the 2008 baseball season so that's good news for this coming year.

Only ended up getting to day 14 before it all fell apart, had to do some more traveling and it just broke me (which is why its a lot easier to just stay at home and only leave to workout... no temptation and you are always at home when its time for a shake. Anyways the last two weeks I have been eating normal and staying on the hot rox and after the initial climb (water weight) back up from 208 to 215 I had continued down back to 210. So I haven't had any negative effects and I am going to do this diet again for the next two weeks to see about getting into the low 200's. I'll keep posting.
