Ecdysterone (code name Plant Sterols)

PURPOSE: Methoxyisoflavone (M), 20-hydroxyecdysone (E), and sulfo-polysaccharide (CSP3) have been marketed to athletes as dietary supplements that can increase strength and muscle mass during resistance-training.

CONCLUSION: Results indicate that M, E, and CSP3 supplementation do not affect body composition or training adaptations nor do they influence the anabolic/catabolic hormone status or general markers of catabolism in resistance-trained males. Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. 3(2): 19-27, 2006

Along with a proper diet of course what supplement aids the most in adding muscle size?

just a random question in my head

and please no ranting about diet i know how important and strict a diet must be

There is no straight answer for your question. You must know that every single human body
is unique in certain way. So some products might work for your mate but might not work for
you.
A few years ago when creatin hype spread quickly, myself and buddy of mine, we decided to give
it a shot. I've gained strength and size but my poor friend nothing at all. He was so frustrated and cursed creatin for good.

The best advice is you should try few products and find the best combination that works for you.
My favourite was/is: Protein Powder + Creatin + HMB

Dude honestly, I have been lifting for 15 - 17 years off and on. Played High school, college(Colorado), and 2 years of Pro(Chicago). From there I retired out of the Army, spending 13 years in Special Forces, You talk about a group that preached nutrition....DUDE! Any how, you are absolutly right when it comes down to nutrition being the most important, next to lifting(no lift no gain), thing someone should concentrate on. so Good to go. Other supplement wise Proteins, whey, egg, meat, are the next. when you take each depends on when you lift, wakeup, go to sleep. Next I say Creatine is good but this is a cycle thing 8 weeks on 2 off. You body manufactures about 5 grams a day. If you eat red meats you get more. Don't get stoked all over this Mono, alpha-kergalat, blah, blah, blah stuff. Monohydrate is the simpliest form and is more than adequate. Sip 5 grams in grape juice with in the hour after lifting and your set. You body is only going to assimulate what it need regardled of the form. so buying some high priced form with suger(carbs) in it, is meerly a waste of money! Next Multivitamins. Your trying to ge bigger. your body not only demands more protein for this, but more micro nutrients. Get some good Vitamins, otherwise it is all for naught. the reason you mass in the protien is so that it is availiable when needed...think the same here. Last Amino acid pills. When the protein is still breaking down and the BCAA's aren't ready, Amino acid pills fill in for the time. I take these 3-4 times a day. morning, preworkout, post workout, prior to bed. I don't let these sub for protien intake though.

With these supplements you can easily control your growth, size, composition, and strength gains easily. Half the other stuff on the market keeps businesses in business. You can control, your testotrone, body fat, weight gains.. all of it with these things and you diet. The Iron is your enemy

It's not a waste of money. Spiking your insulin post workout is the best thing you can do, not to mention helping out your glycogen stores.

That is the reason for the grape juice. It pretty much has the highest gycemic content around. So this accounts for the gycogen storage needed, and the insulin spike needed. Now compared a glass of grape juice with a can af pre sweetened creatine.
