I don't talk to my parents, but if I were you I would just ignore them. It'll be worth it to rub it in their faces when you're jacked.

Hehe yeah I try but it's hard because it seems like they're ignoring stuff like my grocery lists and stuff, opting for what I used to eat, and thats realy hard when you're having trouble figuring out how to start out to begin with! At least I do most of my workouts at night...

Set it in your mind that you're doing this and you don't give a **** what anyone says. That's the mentality you need, come hell or high water you're gonna get jacked and anyone who gets in your way will be struck down! Get pissed! Don't go cursing at your parents or anything lol but just keep the strong positive mentalitly and DON'T STOP.

I'll probably get a power rangers lunchbox and carry food in there too.

there no doubt projecting their own feelings of worthlessness onto you. tell them to stick it up there ass and use spite as your newest goal for motivation. i have parents like this too (that attack self confidence) and what you have to do is just ignore them, dont let them get to you.

Hey poison, prove them wrong, they say you cant do it? show them whos right. If you let people get you down and tell u ur not good enuf then you never will be. Trust me overcoming these w*****s will just compensate to your gains and confidence, i know that from personal experience. Good luck and keep doin what ur doin x

i don't live at home, but i still have to deal with the questions as to why (especially being female) i want to be at a low bodyfat percentage and blah blah blah, why do i wanna look like a man? unless you lift like we do, you don't get it. if i don't go to the gym, i'm really pissed off and feel really on edge all day until i hit the gym again. do it for you, because you want to. it's good for you, you know that. the grocery thing? F 'em. if you can, get a job of your own and buy your own food, put your name on it and stick in the fridge. then if they question you about it, tell them that this isn't hindering you, it's stopping you from drinking, using drugs, hanging with the wrong crowd, etc. working out is also keeping you calm at your age, keeping your mind focused so you can learn when you're in school or whatever. i just don't get why parents would ever tell their children it's "stupid" or something to work out. there are way too many obese kids out there. i'm glad to see you're taking the initiative to work out and be in shape. keep up the good work, and don't let people stand in your way.

thankfully they support me pretty good, but sometimes i get them trying to get me to weight back on by shoving food down my throat that they try and convince is healthy for me but really isnt at all. idk, it just seems like some parents dont want there children to work hard at stuff like that.

perhaps if you educate them and help them understand why your doing what your doing may help?

my advice is to use this as motivation. when youve got your six pack and 22 inch arms, rub it in your dads face. if you keep it up for years, you wont have a beerbelly like most dads.
