I'm not sure, but maybe the excessively high B-vitamin conent can be an issue, although B-vits aren't really supposed to have a negative effect at high amounts, they are simply excerted in the urine, they are all water soluable. Vitamin B2, aslo known as (Riboflavine / Lactoflavine / Vitamin G) has a strong yellow colour which is seen when excreted (This causes your fluorescent urine when taking Animal Pak or MegaMen. It means your body is not actually using all of the B-vitamin you are putting in it, so it goes to waste -_-") If your urine is like this when taking the tablet then your body is exceting the excess hence you probably don't need so much B-vits and can consider taking a tablet of lower concentrations. At one point in time when I started taking MegaMen [Regular] I was having trouble sleeping well. I went to the pharmacist to find a sleeping aid, then the lady working there asked if I take a multivit, I said yes MegaMen, she told me that I should try taking 1 a day instead of the recomended 2. I tried this and I belive it helped, for some reason soon I was sleeping better. She explained that with the large amount of B-vits, my body had too much energy still when I was going to sleep, so my sleep was restless. I know that my story is sort of differnt to yours, but this is probably the most I can tell you. At your age height and weight I can't see why should a Multi-Vitamin affect your sleep patterns. Best of Luck!

I would agree...I don't think that the vitamin is causing my sleep problems. I have had this issue with sleep for a while. Like i said, I have no problem sleeping...I am actually asleep before my head hits the pillow. i think that my allergies cause me to have trouble breathing, maybe a form of sleep apnea, which causes me to get NO rest while I am asleep. This is kinda scary. BUT there ARE mornings when I wake up and I feel like a million bucks and I know that I rested through the night cause I have energy all day! If I could afford it, I would go to a sleep clinic for an evaluation. I don't think that I will stop taking the multi altogether but i may only take it on training days or every other 2 or 3 days and see how that works. I think that I have concluded that the multi was making me toxic and causing the cloudy/foggy feeling in my head. I didn't mention earlier that I eat lots of veggies and I also supp with Maximum Greens, usually in the morning, and so I get quite a bit a vitamins aside from the multi.

@ dante1 I would'nt recommend that you should stop taking the MegaMen Multi-Vitamin, there are other vitamins and minerals in it that are very important for you as a bodybuilder and the B-vits are just as important. However I do recommend that you take one tablet with breakfast, and one later in the day, like after lunch or so, so that you would get a more even release of vitamins throughout the day. Even though the tablet is 'Time Released' it would still be smarter to take them appart. I don't know much about the B-complex before bed, but I think that you'll be getting more than enough B-vits from MegaMen. That's good that you are taking an extra source of Vitamin C it is very important to BodyBuilders. I think for best results and suppresion or estrogenic effects, you should take 3000 g Vit C before training and 1000 g after, I've got an exam just now so I'll surely explain this a little later. @ Seabass1 I really hope that you get through to go to a sleep clinic for an evaluation, that would probably be best. You can decide how ever you would like to take you vitamins, but you should do a bit of research on the maximum allowed intakes of the vitamins that you're taking, so that you don't overdose yourself, that can be toxic.

That's a small amount of vitamins/minerals you get through just taking one a day. Try taking both in the AM, perhaps? Like you said, B-vitamins are water soluble, which means they will definetely have passed through you by the time you reach sleepy time. Mega Men has 50mcg B-complex per serving, which isn't really that much actually. Ultra Mega Gold has 80mcg per serving.

But, does anybody knows what rate of the vitamin can be absorbed by the body, I mean a company can claim that certain tablet has 200% RDA of some vitamin (which might be true), but only 30% passes to the blood stream, whereas the rest is just thrown away and wasted. In such a case, might be better to get some liquid vitamins. can anybody bring some light about it?

They really just depends on the person after that. Some vitamin companies run dissolvability tests, USP 2840 or some ish like that. It just makes sure that your body can break them down.
