you don't use supplements, you don't think they do anything, we get it.  Others tend to disagree.  No biggy

I'm in that group of "others who disagree". I haven't used DS products yet, but I can tell you that Cellmass, AnimalPak, and Hot-Rox Extreme are worth their weight in gold.

I'm probably gonna load up on DS Sustain Bars if they sell them at Teh Vitaminz Shoppz since I just got a membership there when I bought teh Hot-Roxz Extremez. They look perfect for what I need when I start living on the road at the end of this month and need to get protein in while training all day in Hollywood.

Ok , my first problem is a guy who knocks supplments a lot, but still returns to the SUPPLEMENT post to post negative information about supplements...

I am loving DS..  I am on the Lean Extreme, Basic Cuts and Melting Point..  I have never seen better results out of a stack.  I have cut back over 15 lbs, that is just bulk weight.  I haven't checked BF% again, but I am sure I have cut back 8-10% .  I put a lot of work into, but still I have never received this from any other, even a LOW KEY supplement company.  I plan on taking measurements at the end of next week and checking my bodyfat, so the results will even be more impressive..  I still have about 4 more weeks on the stack.

Very impressive.  Please keep us posted throughout.

Deadly
Unfortunately Vitamin Shoppe did not pick up the bars as a product line.  The offer some of the products but not all.Not sure why since the website retailers that offer them can't keep them in stock.  The really are that good.  Honey as a sweetner, quality protein source, nothing artifical.  I even got my son and gf eating them (both very picky on things) Whatever site you find them at, I would suggest you stock up since we just can't keep up with the demandSmile

Check out the site for retailers

Like the black guy from Not Another Teen Movie would say, "That is wack". I checked out the site last night before posting and that's where it said Vitamin Shoppe had them (I clicked on the buy link). I also did a search for them on Yahoo! and found a place that sold them for $19.99 so I was thinking that if that was the in-store price then I'd be all over them because they'd be a better deal than MetRx bars and more protein.

I might end up trying some of that stinging nettle root extract, I read a huge article on it in the magazine Vitamin Shoppe gives you when you sign up for a membership and I've read about it elsewhere in a few places and they all say positive things about it.

I hope you do, and if so, then please keep us posted.  Designer Supplements products are high quality.

I haven't been around too long, but I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to this lifestyle.  Of all the experiance I have had with supplements, Designer Supplements has had the most solid product (especially in the area of how long it lasts, meaning the effects do not wear out after a few weeks), the marketing they do is not outragous like some other companies, they do not promise rediculous gains due to their product, and the customer service I must say is amazing.  Of course they are more inclined to recommend their products more than others, but I have and do see them recommend other brands all the time.  Whether it be about supplements, or just training in general, the reps are there to help you out.  In my experience with other compaines, I am left feeling like they tried to not only make me look like an idiot, but tried to make me feel like one for not using their product.  Those who come in and automatically bash not only DS supps, but supps in general deserve nothing more than to be ignored.  If you have nothing constructive to say, do not say anything at all.

Replace the {} with []. Then it should work. I'm glad you like the banner. Smile

Ya, i know i rage on about this way too often.  I do use supplements, just not abusively marketed ones.

well that begs the question-
-What supplements do you use out of curiosity
-what do you mean as abusively marketed one?   You mean in general or specific to how DS operates As a company I would argue DS is one of the more low hype companies in terms of marketing.  We do have our share of Board Reps on this board as well as others (as do other companies) but personally I view my function as being a resource rather than just whoring DS products

I use animal pak, whey, a 3-6-9 oil and I randomly try things out occasionally.  I didn't really think I would have to explain what I meant by abusive marketing but I will, briefly.  To me, an abusive advertisement is any that makes ridiculous claims.  Now, I know everyone is thinking "ridiculousness, thats pretty subjective."  But in this context, is it?  Would we not all agree that the gakic-11.5%... claim is stupidity?  Can't we come to a consensus on the absurdity of every legalgear ad?  I think I have cleared up the ridiculous part but not so much the abusive.  Most people here, I speculate, are over 18, or at least of the age of solid independent thought.  However, there is no age limit here, nor is there an age limit for magazines or medium of the like.  Thusly, I think we can agree that there is a significant portion of our population, whom control effective amounts of wealth, that are not yet of a faculty for independent thought.  I am talking of course about the youth aged 13-17, roughly.  These people are the main subject of my concern.  They, as I must arrogantly point out, are simply not smart enough yet.  Look at how many huge industries target them; music, extreme sports, fashion, supplements and of course the world's second evil (only to oil), tobacco.  What I am saying is that the ads that we all laugh at when we see Markus Ruhl and Ronnie Coleman sitting in the gym with a little shaker cup of whatever and that weird looking Muscletech doctor guy looking on, are not lost on the youth like they are on us (hopefully.)  These kids go out and but the stuff and the potential for disaster increases ten-fold simply because there youthfully naivety, the same naivety that they buy cigarettes with, makes them blind to the problems of supplementing at such a young age, overusing, dependency development, etc.

So, njmuscle66, I understand your viewpoint, this is a free-market after all.  I must admit that I am so turned off by the entire industry that I hastely throw all supplement companies into the trash bin before much solid research, it just seems more efficient that way.  I just long for the days when advertising and corporate benevolence existed; it existed right??

p.s.
I just cruised designersupps.com and I am gonna consider pulling it out of the trash bin.  I likely would not support it but it seems respectable.  One page mentioned something about '"muscle tearing" pump' but it was in quotes so I think some (extreme) subjectivity was encouraged.

BG-I actually thought you responded to this previously.  I am in agreement with some of the advertisement used in the industry and how it might influence someone with not as much experience as others I have also seen you post some very helpful information on what supplements you feel do work.  I appreciate your thoughts but I have no issues or concerns about what you said.  You clarified them previously.  DS does use advertising of course to sell our products but I think we do a decent job at keeping the hyperbole to a minimum
