The side effects arent to bad. You will retain some water and the gains u get you will loose some. Take it for post Workout on cycles i take it  4 weeks then off for 1 or 2 weeks. It will give u more endurance, better pumps, and better gains. The cycles are so youll avoid any side effects that may happen its better to be safe then srry. But the side effects arent as bad as people make them out to be. I suggest you take BSN NO-Xplode or Xyience NOX-CG3 i have taken both and the results i got were very nice. Also take a protein with the creatine since creatine is more so an additive. And be sure to drink tons of water throughout your day. And like the above post said bodybuilding.com is a great resource wesbite to learn all about supplements.

You don't have to cycle creatine and there are no negative side effects. You don't need a creatine suppliment packed with caffiene, I remember reading somewhere that caffiene has negative effects to your training. Dan mentioned it somewhere in the post your own articles thread.

well i disagree i have had many clients take creatine and my friends that are bodubuilders even agree you should cycle creatine. I have taken creatine for a very long time and i believe cycles work the best. Even pro bodybuilders say to cycle read up on the facts man. And caffiene may hurt your workout but it cant have that bad of negative effects since i have taken it forever and dont see any negative effects on me.

Clients? How old are you, judging by your responses I would guess you're were in your mid teens.Smile

I know it's widely accepted that you should cycle creatine but why?

You act as if you personally have tried not cycling and cycling then compared lean muscle gains, strength gains, so on and so forth.

You also act like I'm saying what you're doing is totally wrong and won't yeild results, I didn't say anything of the sort. I simply don't believe it's neccisary to cycle creatine and you don't need these expensive brands. Creatine is Creatine and it doens't matter what name brand is on the label. All your getting with most of these other brands is a high price tag and caffiene and god knows what else. Most of which have LESS creatine content then the cheaper brands per serving. Giving you even less for your money.

well the ones i have suggested are just ones i have tested i never said that there the best or others are worse just these i know work since i have tested them. I am 20 i have been a personal trainer since i was 17. And yes i have tried both cycles and once witout cycles it may be my imagination but i saw greater gains with cycles. And i know you arent saying what im sayin is wrong we are both entitles to our opinions. And you are right alot of brands that are big name brands pack other things into there creatine that make it even less effective but those two are ones i have tested like i said and seem to work. I have also done many types of mono creatine which works rather good also

thats what im trying to say im just saying if you feel there are effects do it in cycles. I feel that creatine is 100% safe tho. All though there are studies of it doing some damage to your kidney's. like say you have an existing kidney problem it may agravate or increase the acuteness of these problems. the reason is is cause creatine increase the levels of Creatinine in your body. Your kidneys has to flush the excess Creatinine in your body and cuases strain on the kidney's. Also Creatine is manufactured from sarcosine and cyanamide. And during the production ofCreatine contaminants such as various ions, creatinine, dicyandiamide, and dihydrotriazines. So if you take creatine that hasnt been screened well for contaminants and take larges doses over a long period of time it may be of some concern. So always get creatine from a reputable company. Well thats about all the concerns of creatine. I still feel creatine is 100% safe i have taken it for a very long time and no side effects. And for the cycles i suggested it cause it seems you get better gains that way and the consumer may feel a bit more at ease doing this just in case.

How much are you taking in and when are you taking it? It may take a few days to really start to notice a diffrence.

You don't need to do a loading phase. Just take the normal dosage.

Creatine stays in the body for a long time, loading phases arent needed, after 2-3 weeks of normal dosing youll have the same amount as loading phases.

I dont personally see much great things about creatine, i saw definite pump after workouts better than before, and weight went up, strength didnt actually go up per se, more stamina and energy.

Its not a magic supplement so many bodybuilders think that it is.
