I know people try to avoid using sugars but wouldnt putting a tad bit of brown sugar help lighten up the taste? Im new here so I dont know exactly how people feel toward most things

splenda or stevia is good for that sugar taste. Protein powder. Honey,pb,berries, some people will add in sugar free maple syrup, sugar free pudding mix. Using tea water will work but really is a prefrence more then any thing i dont like but i have friends who like there oatmeal using tea water.  Plain works just as well. You can toss them in a hot pan for a few mintues and it will change the taste to a more nuttier flavour.
