ORIGINAL: Silence Why is extra water especially important with CEE? I know that monohydrate requires water to permeate the cell membranes (hence the bloating), but I was under the impression that CEE is able to pass through without a water molecule. This makes me think that extra water wouldn't be necessary. Because there are some concerns about cee specifically and strain on the kidneys. 1 gallon of water a day should be the bare minimum with any creatine anyway.

I don't think there was an actual study done on cee and creatinine concentration. Creatinine is the stuff that's toxic. There was a study done with mono and with it's raised slightly, but with cee, apprently the levels are raised more. Eh it's something to think about. I wouldn't worry about it too much if you follow directions and drink a lot of water while on it though. I think it's only really an issue if you have a prexisting health problem.
