I'm glad I read this. I had been hitting the gym around 9:30-10:30 PM and getting to sleep around 2-3 AM, waking up at 6 AM, then after class sleeping from 2-5 PM.

I'm going to make these changes because I have problems getting a full 8 hours, feel tired most of the time, and my workout intensity has been steadily decreasing for some time now. I'm going to try working out after class (12:30-1:00 PM) and getting to bed around 10PM if possible and doing my cardio when I wake up. Do you think taking a nap after my workout would be a good idea? If so how long should I wait?

You might want to take a week off when you change the sleep schedule to let the body get some recovery.

After the gym and post workout nutrition...a nap is fine as long as it does not inturrupt your sleep!

Judicious naps do increase growth potentiating hormones!

I use to nap after the most stressful part of the day, then get my pre worktou nutrition and then train...
