Diet Plan - 1800 cal per day with diet something like this: Meal 1 - Oatmeal or protein smoothie with fruit – may became only oatmeal or only whey or combo. Meal 2 – 25-40gm protein (can of tuna or soy meat which I am phasing out soon, dry cottage cheese which will be phased out soon or scoop whey with 8 oz water) ¾ cup green beans or ½ can asparagus or ¾ cup broc measured raw. Meal 3 – ¾ cup no fat plain yogurt which will soon be phased out, or ½ cup legumes which also will be phased out. Small Banana is an option or ½ grapefruit. ½ cup cooked quinoa, baked with a sprinkle of olive oil and chopped garlic – 4-5 baby carrots – carrots phased out closer to show, instead would use ½ cup spinach stuffed into cup. Meal 4 – same as meal 2. Meal 5 – same as meal 3 but may become same as meal 6 depending on how I lean down. Meal 6 – handful almonds plain raw, whey. Avg of 2 liter water per day. May have diet dr. pep or coffee as cheat - whole milk is the cheat part. Mon Aug 13th, 07 Work out started great with routine and then suddenly I got really tired, end of routine I felt sick, light headed and figured it was pms, I am 10 days out. I had to train a client then went home, was sick the rest of that day, cold, chills.....but I ate lots of sliced bread and sprite, it was all I could take down and some campbells tomato soup - these are my sick foods!! I figure the NO Limits got me through routine but being under the weather it blew all my energy there. Also the stress from family crap past week could be catching up with me since I hold it all in. Tues Aug 14th, 07 Did the weights I was going to do Monday and 30 mins cardio. Not weak, felt much better! I also think it could have been slight salmonella maybe, I feed my dogs raw chicken and recall something which I did touching my mouth before washing my hands after a feeding......so who knows. Either way I was better this day so I was happy. Back / glute, QL maybe too, were sore but tolerable, just barely. Wed Aug 15th 07 10 mins tread accelarate hiit - done after weights, 20 mins routine which I started with, and did my weights and skill practice with walkthrough of routine. A good strong day. Funny, some guy asked me if I was a break dancer!!! I used to be in the 80s, now I just use some of the tricks on my routines. Thur Aug 16 07 - off Friday Aug 17th, 07 Did a 20 mins jog after weights. So far weights are still as listed above in my plan. Today Sat, Aug 18 07 So I go in gung ho, right off the bat, bad toe landing on my pike shushanova, like the 3rd trick on my routine...............left foot big toe, same one I fractured once already................never fails, every injury I do is during pms! So I did 15-20 mins routine as best I could through the pain, did my weights then went home and am now sitting here icing the friggin' thing. My back/glute was fine today though........yesterday it complained a bit during the first 10 mins of weights but otherwise have had treatements with massage and felt good today and dang it I had to re injure the toe. So I have no idea how bad or how long.................this is an injury you just train through so it sucks cuz I have to suffer the pain but I cannot stop now! I wanted to do cardio and tan but I needed to ice it, it was already an hour late on icing so I could not wait another 30 mins to an hour. I may have to wrap it but for the landing and routine I need to be able to bend that big to and go on it for pushups and such..............&%$#^%$%$!!!!! Diet has been okay, not perfect but not horrid. I have to do those pics and measurments and should do the bf first thing in the morning. MY TOE HURTS! I cannot bent it now.............f..k, f..k, f..k................ Here are my comparison shots, I just took them!!! And I remembered to date them too!! I can see just from these pics my whole right side if out of alignment, hip is high, even the right glute cheek is higher than the left, the shoudler........no wonder my left side lumbar and glute are sore.......it just seems no matter how much I get adjusted and work to condition it I am fighting this!!! My toe does not look to good either........I think when I landed (from air into pushup position) I hyper extended the big toe and it bent to the side.....I cannot bend it, but its swollen although not HUGE.....so far. Sucks to go hard when you are injured. I also noticed my butt is smaller yet my hips are taking longer, that has never been an issue for me so I let it go a bit to far the past 2 years and am now paying. My hips are so out of proportion, saddlebags........that it makes me look like I have no quads! Hopefully as I lean and those saddlebags disappear I will show more quad sweep.........I suppose I will also just have to concentrate on more quad size for the year ahead....I did that this past year but I guess not enough. I guess all the strength and heavy lifting just did not get my legs big, my upper body did okay but the legs could be bigger. As I train the past few weeks with pathetically light weights and higher reps, I notice getting response from that so that shock may just trigger more quad growth. I know a few gals who say they get bigger quads when training lighter with higher reps so that may be the direction my quads are now taking........our bodies do change in response every few years and I have been at it now over 10 years. I may also have to get some scar tissue removed with deep tissue massage to the quads, it may be blocked which happened to me with my hams a few years ago and when I had deep tissue done those hams grew 2 inches within no time flat.......so it could be the same syndrome with my quads and they are much more sensitive to deep tissue than the other areas of my body....hmmmm. Linda I did not notice this post. Aren't hips mainly genetic? I mean you can work on the glutes all you want but that is not going to change the shape of the hips much, Same with the obliques. I actually happen to like your shape your way to critical on your self.. if anything I would say the lats could be expanded out a bit more. The center of the back looks awsome! I love how the muscles buldge in the middle of your back my gf's do that too big time. Your front double bi shot looks great! I like how your biceps and triceps are formed. I really like how your abs come out in the double bi too.

Hey, cool thanks!!! Well no, because I did not have those a few years ago whenI was a bit more on the cardio. It happened during bulking, and its fat, trust me. Look at this, this is my genetics....... and if you look carefully here, there is a distince line between thigh, glute and ham.....and my butt is muscle,not square but similar and this shot here is not me at my leanest for fitness neither so it shows - in comparison to above that the saddlebag thing above is all new fat............and its a new thing because up to about 2003 I either ran a lot, did kickboxing alot or did tons of cardio and I wanted to bulk so I backed off the past few years and viola SADDLEBAGS!!!! oh well, I can get rid of them, just hope 3 mths will do it. August 21, 07 - Tuesday Did my weights and 45mins cardio using 3 machines - 15 per. Did HIIT on a bike I have not tried til now and wow was it cushy!! It was a new lifefitness industrial, very nice. Fat burn on the other 2 machines. Wed - off August 23, 07 - Thursday Did my weights, 45 mins fat burn on 3 machines - 15 per. Have been unable to do routine work, toe still swollen and sore but the Arnica is speeding up the healing and I think even the Designer supps I am on is helping. NO Limits and ActivaTe. Friday and Saturday were a wash because I was involved with judging a Bodybuilding and Figure show so I ended up training my weights at home on Sunday night but no cardio although my cals were low as I did not eat many full meals, just nuts and coffee - fast stuff. August 27, 07 - Monday Forgot my program at home so I just did an hour and 20 mins of cardio, 20 mins per on 4 machines, mainly on fat burn and cardio levels. Using step machine, cross trainer elliptical, tread and ARC to really work the tush and quads. I was able to do twice through on my routine, kinda, the shushanovas were okay which ironically I expected to be bad still since they are leaps where I land in push up position, so the toes too............but it was more when I went to do any spins or pushoffs on that foot that seemed to piss the toe off more so I was not really able to do much more.......but hey, this type of injury took me months last time, this was only a week and I have been doing cardio for days now too on that toe.............not too bad. I also feel that the NO Limits and ActivaTe are helping me with my lighter higher rep work by increasing rep tolerance or slower rep tolerance. My back is much better, still tweaks now and again but it is better! Linda

Tuesday Aug 28. 07 Did my weights, today was legs, shoulders and abs. Did an hour and 20 mins cardio....ugh I am so glad I tried out the Designer stuff cuz when I don't use them I feel the difference which is weaker, easier to tire, like the work is harder. Wednesday, Aug 29. 07 30 mins on my new treadmill! I got the smooth evo, some model number but it has a orthopedic belt and its a nice one. I ran 5-6 mph. Man was it hard, I forgot to take anything, well actually did the workout spur of the moment so I did not get a chance to preload with NO Limits. I have been on ActivaTe consistently. Thursday, Aug 30. 07 Great workout, did Chest, Tris and Glutes today and another hour of cardio. I also did some photos today and measurements which are very encouraging. My diet has been lower in cals, still prob. too low in protein, for my liking anyway but mainly good clean foods. Lots of water, but too much sweetener use..........eeeeee. Still working on them saddlebags but the butt itself is shrinking sloooowly. My legs will show better and quads especially.....once I get rid of those saddlebags. Still leaning, 2 months left so not too bad, but my routine won't be as high in difficulty as I would like as far as aerial tricks.........lots of holds, pushups and splits, with a few leaps and a few cartwheels and a walkover but with my toe now still sore.......its tough to practice as often as I like and have not done so since Monday. Good news though, my shoes are in, the heels, and my suit maker said my suits are in the mail, she jazzed up my routine outfit which is 4 pc, and has sent my suit unbeaded to try out and then I send back and she beads and finishes. The figure suits I have, but she will also be making my black one, the one for mandatories. I also ordered some routine shoes to ensure I don't screw up my toes anymore.......so although the ones I wanted are sold out and cannot be found, they are a yellow canvas and suede Sansha Blitz 1 in yellow............I did find a pair of black capulets with heel shox and a nice thin sole with spit. I have some pink streaks in my hair but for Nov, for this show I will be putting in some [COLOR="Blue"]violet blue kinda like this color but more vibrant!![/COLOR] Just a few streaks only. My hair will be at my ass by then. Here is a similar color I am referring to Anyway, keeping at it hard! Linda

Friday Aug. 31.07 Did my routine for about 20 mins, still not where I want it as far as feel of ease and timing, I feel kinda like I am still throwing myself around, I need it to feel and look easy and smooth, its not smooth yet and I have to video the thing to see what is missing as far as entertainment goes, how I can use what I have and add some showmanship to it, broadway hands and cutsy steps in between and for transitions, with transitions........I have a gal I will work with to help make it a tad showier but the main thing is for me to see it on video to really know. I am sad that I am not able to put in my aerial and more leaps but my back and toe limited me this time around which really sucks. The main thing is to get lean and make the routine look as good as it can even at an easier difficulty. If I can make top 3 this time around I am done with this level and onto the provincials, but that is still same org..........so I am still their bitch..........once I get beyond provincials which means I need to make top 3 there too and it would be next summer or spring but I have to qualify first..........anyway once I get to nats, I won't be under these guys and they don't know me at nats yet so If I play it right hopefully there won't be too much held against me for my previous affiliation with other orgs etc. I did my weights, then another 40 mins cardio, mod on Arc for 20 with 10 on rower at 24-27spm. Diet has been tighter, got a crapload of fish this weekend, tilapia and snapper, put some 'pre contest approved' flavorings and froze them in individual servings ready to go! See the nutrition section here in the womens forum for the recipe. Saturday Sept. 1. 07.......already????? where did summer go, I mean it came to us for a few weeks this year only, the rest of the days were no big deal............we got ripped off! Today there was sun and heat but there was this chill in the air, a threat of the weather to come for the next friggin' 9 mths! Worked out at home, nearly took the day off but I cannot, I won't be tight if I do........so today is day 6 in a row, 4 with weights, all 6 with long cardio bouts. I did 30 on my tread and 20 on my recumbant bike after my weights. I did 3 days 3x10 for 7 exercises on my usual 6 day split with super and tri setting, very little rest, am now on 3 days 3x18 with lighter weight..........cutting cutting cutting............... My snaz shoes came in, once I do my suit fittings with shoes, I may post pics, we will see............I may not want to show my outfit off yet but then again I get anxious and will probably post it anyways!! Pre fittings in my suits and shoes. I am now awaiting the suits, which were sent for fittings, and the fitness routine ones should be ready. I await my dance sneakers from sansha and then I am ready to rock! actually I am ready to hip hop, my routine is more along that line. I used timbaland, nelly furtado and rihanna. Once I post my routine or practice, then you can actually hear it too! I have to video it still............. Diet was okay but I did cheat with some ms. vickies salt n vinegar yesterday and a few today but otherwise not bad on diet, protein has been good, carbs moderate and fats perfect, well aside the cheats. dairy will soon be out and strictness will be higher.

Sunday Sept 2.07 Off Monday Sept 3.07 Did 2 days of training to catch up for Sun off and also because it is light and I had the juice for it today!! Chest/Glutes/Triceps and Back/Obliques/Biceps with a 15 min walk at 4mph on 10% incline on tread. Tuesday Sept 4.07 An hour cardio including 30 mins on routine which is 4-6X through. Had a last ice cream today and coffee, will be cutting dairy by Thursday as well as fruit, except a rare banana, and limiting the diet pop as well. Still on creatine. May drop it in a few weeks unless I get so lean that I can stay on it, will see what the body does. Wednesday Sept 5.07 Did an hour cardio and 20 mins routine too, weights as well which was legs, shoulders and abs. I am now on week 4 as per plan a few posts above. Did some fittings today, I will post a few pics in my blog at extremefitness.com, tab is above on this site! I looked soft in the shots though, yet seem leaner at other parts of the day like after workouts or early morning. I got my suits and shoes except my dance ones. Did my first fitness suit fitting and will now be sending it back to Amy at poswingwear.com to bead it. The rest are ready and I did some shots fitting them as well. Thursday Sept 6.07 40 mins cardio, back sore today, did my weights. Am finished with NO Limits, today was the last does so now I am half way through ActivaTe. Will take some getting used to without the NO Limits but I did a day or 2 this past week and it went okay, seems my cardio has picked up and become easier anyway and weights are feeling the loss but will level out soon I am sure and I still have the ActivaTe.

Doin' good Italianangel. I know about saddlebags!! I'm being reassured that I will eventually lean down the legs over the next 2 weeks... I'm being a bit anal, though. Keep it up and take care of your injuries!

Friday 9.7.07 - off Saturday 9.8.07 Today for the first time in weeks I felt good, not before but during!! I gave a good 15-20 min stretch before I went to the gym, and then once the room was free I went straight to work on my routine and videoed it so I can see the points I need to fix. Mainly some areas where I need to extend my legs or bring them closer, otherwise I was happy. Its the first time where I am getting through them all the way and somewhat gracefully!!! I have to work on some cleaner landing in splits and nail the handstand twist better but I am still getting to the point where my energy is leveling now in my routine and its getting easier, not yet but getting. I just decided to add my aerial, I think I can get it off the ground by next week especially now with my new dance shoes, what a difference!!! Weights was rough, my NO Limits is done so I felt the diff. an hour cardio to end the day, on top of that 20 mins on routine. I had to do a dress rehearsal to make sure it all times in, and I do have a few seconds at the end where I am either going too fast near the last few seconds and end up ending a few seconds too soon or I may need to add a kick or something in there. Anyway today was a good day and for the first time in a while I felt like its all going to work out well. My toe and back are not perfect but tolerable, and much less painful. Awww come on! That's my bread and butter! I love cardio, and weights....but I also love food! That's where I get in trouble! BTW, I'm going to teach Kickboxing again starting in October! Whoo hoo! I miss teaching that class....

I don't do DQ often at all but when dieting you can get odd out of the ordinary type cravings, this is mine today, a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard with a top of hot fudge and hot caramel that I can swirl in...... Sun 9.9.07 Trained at home, usual hour of cardio the required weight day and muscle groups and diet has been tighter - with family over and everyone eating pizza, pastry, deli meats with buns n cheeses, frozen yogurt with fresh strawberry compote and roasted hazelnuts - well I was able to have some of the nuts............and then my niece and my guy go for white chocolate mochas and more pastry, chocolate croissants during our dog walk......oh well, I just watched. To be honest I did not want any of that, I just would have liked a coffee though but knowing I need milk in there, I skipped. I had some yogurt with protein, a spoon of the sugar free compote and some shredded coconut - after this week even these foods will be cut. Mon 9.10.07 Over an hour cardio, required weights, good with diet but did have an apple.......fruit will be cut end of week until I tighten up more. Tues 9.11.07 Same idea as Monday. Have had an apple or pear each day in the afternoon..........otherwise diet clean. Wed 9.12.07 Off today. Should do routine but my body needs the rest and I don't want to get hurt trying to push myself with routine when tired. I blew it last night and had 2 apples with peanut butter then I had a bun with peanut butter and scant butter...............pms, I just needed something!!! I have to hold it together because I really want to tighten up nice and won't feel settled until I cannot pinch anything on my abs. Linda

Thursday, Friday and Saturday AND today Sunday ...... Sept 13-16- full steam ahead, training and videoing the training for a bb.com project detailing some on season prep. Been in the gym 2-4 hours per day, the later if tanning but at least an hour cardio daily if not more, weights............and well I tweaked my glute again, and it is attached to the ham.......I called my rmt and will see about her working it out, as of today am off, cannot stand up straight as it hurts so I have to stand hunched and cannot stand for more than a few seconds really..............it seems my take off from the left leg and then the whip of my right leg to get over on my aerial tweaked it. Diet has been pretty clean, I have not dropped that apple and pb yet though!! It gets me through and the results are coming gangbusters so I am okay and have cut my carbs down more with no oatmeal on some days and a carb with only 1 meal so only 1-2 carbs per day as meals with an apple or a few of these crackers, okay for pre contest...... | | |
