Gaining weight! Weight gainer 1850 help! - Thursday, July 31, 2003 7:04 PM
Hey guys.. James here. I' m about 15 years old and currently in the 9th grade and have decided to turn to this forum for some big help. I enjoy sports a lot, especially playing them as well. My favorite sport has always been basketball and currently, I am in my high school' s junior varsity football program, trying out as a cornerback. I have exceptionall speed as well =]. Well, a physical description of myself .. I currently stand at a height of 5' 4' ' -5' 5' ' , I weight about 110 (which I am so sad to say), I have small bones and I have a skinny build. The thing is that being skinny runs in my family and I think I may have gotten being skinny and underweight from my grandfather, who is very tall (about 5' 9" ) but only weighs about 130-145.. I' d say my nutrition is well balanced. I try to avoid junk foods and stick with the good and healthy food such as rice, chicken, vegetables, milk, etc ..

Now to get to the point. I want to gain more weight! My parents have always told me the key to gaining more weight is to eat more.. I have been doing that for the past few years and it doesnt seem to work. I wasn' t really expecting a lot from eating more. One thing I will point out is I DO have a high metabolism! I do eat a lot but you know, I end up ****ting everything out maybe a day or 2 days later ..

Like I said, I' m in the schools JV football program trying out for cornerback. Unlike most students, I lack confidence and that lack of confidence can be balmed on my self-esteem? Why do I have a low self-esteem? My weight. My body. I have a lot of confidence in my speed and strength but weight seems to e the problem.

Recently, I just bought some Weight Gainer 1850 from my local GNC store in order to help in my quest to gain weight and help my body get bigger. The container of weight gainer i bought gives approximately about 5 servings and I would hate to waste all that in less than 2 weeks, considering the fact it was over 25 bucks in total. Is there any way I can make the most out of Weight Gainer 1850 without wasting it in less than 2 weeks I was always reccomended that I still continue to work out and drink the weight gainer at the same time. I will do that

Will anyone be willing to help? Any suggesyions or comments would be greatly appreciated

Eat your weight gainer and then do not by it again. Here is what I want you to do, food wise (I am assuming you are working out).

Eat 7 times per day. Get your blender out.

Go to www.proteincustomizer.com and order 20 pounds of their whey casienate protein, whatever flavor you like. It' ll cost around $100, but that is cheap as hell for that much. Also order, separately 10 pounds of Dextrose. Its like 20-30 dollars.

Wake up and take your blender out.

Meal 1: 3 cups of whole milk in the blender. Add 1 cup of protein powder. Add 2 bananas. Add 2 scoops of ice cream. Blend

Meal 2: 10 am -- Eat 2 peanut butter sandwhiches on whole wheat bread.

Meal 3: Lunch -- good source of protein and carbs (chicken and rice).

Meal 2: 3pm -- Eat 2 peanut butter sandwhiches on whole wheat bread.

4:30 LIFT

5:30 drink asap after lifting in a shaker, 1 cup of protein and 1 cup of dextrose

7: Dinner, same as lunch

10: before bed -- Blend: 3 cups of whole milk in the blender. Add 1 cup of protein powder. Add 4 scoops of peanut butter. Add 2 scoops of ice cream. Blend.

Put 1/2 cup of protein in a cup in the bathroom. Wake up at 3 AM. Add water and down it. Back to sleep.

Guartanteed to add serious weight.

BTW, he' s serious. But he knows his ****.. I wish I knew him when I was 16.

But he' s right.

I am an ectomorph. In high school if I weighted 130lbs that was a really really good week.

And I took a weight gainer.. it worked.. I ran out of money, or didn' t go to the store again.. gone.

So while you may **** out food in 2 days, you will be ****ting out money out of the wallet just as fast for the same phantom gains.

Besides, eating on a routine like Twin Peak establishes a really good structure for eating on a schedule and eating healthy. Weight gainers are cool but they are not real. If you have a perfect (or near perfect diet) and you need the extra 10lbs for football or a competition or something.. fine.. but from the sounds of it.. you don' t have the diet as tight as you could. No offense. I ate too but I didn' t eat a lot on a regular basis when I was in high school. I ate one big meal.. then snacked then ate again but that' s not the same.

Not saying you are doing this.. just making the assumption you are having trouble gaining weight like me.

You see.. the issue you will have at 15 is the magic pill syndrome. I did. I want a solution. But I didn' t understand how much hard work it was gonna be to put on quality weight. I turned to just supplements. But dude.. no offense, if you don' t do some kind of routine like TP is suggesting, then no magic pill will help.

Supplements are to supplement a healthy diet, good nutritional program and intense workouts. No weight gainer is gonna pack on quality muscle in weeks that will make you feel good.

For example, lets say you get to 130lbs.. Wow! But then something happens.. you are 15 and unless you are independently wealthy, you have an allowance or part-time job. It goes away. You get a girlfriend. Your buds wanna go out this weekend. You run out of WeightGainer 5000.. you are screwed!

But if you are eating real foods, making the most of a simple protein power, no problem my man. It' s real food.. on a real schedule. You can probably always get food from home.. Mom and Pop.. but nobody in their right mind is gonna keep handing you $25.00 every 2 weeks for stuff that the minute you quit.. bye bye gains.

I hope you understand. Follow what Twin Peak is trying to tell you. He' s saying if you are dedicated it will work. If not, buy the powder.. run out of money.. see them gains go bye bye and you' ll be back to square one.

Don' t make the same mistake I did.. if I had eaten like Twin Peak suggested at 16.. jez dude.. I' d be bigger then I am now by far.. I only figured this stuff out at 30.. YES.. 30... So my mistake can be your salvation.

Good luck. Keep us posted please.

I belive you mean ectomorph. God I hope it' s not for the extreme endomorph, that poor bastard won' t be able to get out of the front door after a few weeks on that diet.

For those who have already bought the weight gainer 1850. How often should you take it and in what dosage?
