especially cause you're going in with so much energy... its people that dive in that like 5 days a week that are more likely to quit when they don't see results than those that start slow.

thats bs.. who ever said that? I started out with "so much energy", and I havent quit yet even though I didnt see much results for a while in the beginning

LOL... i never planned on siging up for the GYM even though there is one 10 minutes away that two of my friends go to for $30 a month... I think its better to buy a machine once ( like I did already) and use it (like i have been) Instead of spending $300 dollars every year I spent about $250 once.

A lot of gyms that i have checked out have a 100+ registration fee (not sure about NY) and that makes a month to month membership expensive. Say it is 30 a month, then if you were only to go 3 months, that 190 bucks or 63 a month. you are more than half way to the 250 by then. As long as you have the workout plan, like you said you did, give it a try.

I dont know guyz, personally I have no problem loosing fat an gaining muscle at the same time. When I bulk, I just eat like a horse, pizza, burgers, whatever, as long as I'm getting around 500 G's of protein, I dont care about the fat that follows. I dont care because I know I'm going to cut right after I bulk, and I never get fat anyway because I workout the same when Im cutting or bulking. the only difference is in what I eat when Im cutting. When I'm cutting I eat only fruits and veggies, and use various supplements to keep my muscles skin tight. I usualy have a little fat on my abs, thats it, and 3 days into my cutting I get rid of that by doing cardio (which I dont do when bulking). I keep the protein up by taking a powder called "nitro-gen", its like 60 G's every 2 scoops, so i take mad scoops of that a day, its a bit costly, but it works, and so do i so i have the cash...lol. Most people I know, in fact I dont know anyone else that is like me, who can eat all that stuff and loose the cumilative fat 3 days into his cutting cycle and cont. to grow muscle just he did before, so maybe my way isnt the best for you. So if I were to specifically give advice to the general public on how to eat, I would say that when you are bulking, eat as much protein as possible, but be sure to know your own metabolism, if its fast, eat like a horse, whatever you want (high in protein), if its slow, turn yourself into a label looker and be sure the protein/fat ratio is in favor of the protein. When your cutting, no matter your metabolism, eat a lot of fruit and veggies, and protein with little or no fat accompanied by. Just my advice Ive learned over the years. Hope I helped ya, peace.

There will be no difference in muscle growth if you get 500g or 300g a day. The best ratio to stick with is 1-1/2 g of protein per lb of body weight. So if you weight 200, then 200-300g will be fine. I could see 500g of protein if you weighed 330lbs and how many of us weight that?

so does that mean if im 135 lbs i should be taking about 200g. That makes like 10 scoops of whey protein a day. Do I take 10 scoops? lol

Actually it's anywhere from 1 to 1.5g per pound. I have frequently seen the 1.5/pound using Lean BM not total BM.

EDIT:Um, plus you know that it's per day, right?

Paul

yeah one to one and a half grams per pound of body weight. whats the difference in your post and mine? would this make more sense, 1 1/2, excluding the dash? If others need more of an explanation, then weigh yourself and take that total to figure out your suggested protein intake. Im not talking body mass, im talking total body weight.

Ex. 215lbs, so 215 * 1 = 215 ...... 215 * 1 1/2 = 322.5, so any where between 215-323 is the goal for that desired weight

Do I take 10 scoops?

yep if thats all you consume during the day? But im sure you eat food as well, so then 10 scoops would be too much.....Read the labels and do the math as to how much protein your are getting in your food and supplement the rest.
