VPX Micellean Chocolate Review!

Taste: 8/10. I enjoyed Micellean a ot. It mixes nice and thick. I really enjoyed the chocolateness of it. It didn’t seem to lite or over bearing. I had no after taste what so ever. If you grind oats into any of your shakes try it in Micellean it was AWSOME. It was one of my most looked forward to meals.

Mixability: 8/10. The only problem i had mixing is when i were to srew on the top to my shaker some powder would get caught in the lip area of the shaker. But other then that it was real good.

Price: 7/10. I never had a problem paying more for quality. Although I could get XF ultra peptide for $4 less. I am switch to Ultra Peptide based on Sixpack high remarks of it.

Syntrax Nectar Samples Review

Lemon Tea:

Taste: I love iced tea and i love Nectars iced tea. It has a strong
tea taste, with the hint of lemon. The after taste has a strong lemon taste but its still good. Overall: 8\10

Mixability: No problems here. I used a shaker with 4oz. of water. Overall 10\10

Overall Score: 8.5\10

Roadside Lemonade:

Taste: It has a nice lemon taste It has no after taste. Its very refreshing. I liked it more then the tea. Overall: 9\10

Mixability: No problems here. I used a shaker with 4oz. of water. Overall 10\10

Overall Score: 9\10

Crystal Sky:

Taste: I did enjoy this but not nearly as much as lemonade or iced tea. It kinda reminded me of a fruit roll up, it was a shame i never liked those. Overall: 5\10

Mixability: I got pretty good clumping with this one. I used a shaker with 4oz. of water. Overall 5\10

Overall Score: 5\10

Editors Note: After using a full 2lbs of the lemonade I wouldn't buy again and would change my score to a 6\10. The Lemon Tea after 4lbs is quite good though.

PrimaForce Substance Grape

Taste: 6\10 I have to admit I was let down by the taste. I have herd great things about it and I just wasn't that impressed. I preferred the watermelon flavor much better. But back to the grape. It has a good consistency like juice and since i never drink any it was a good change of pace. It was to sweet i would say for my tastes.

Mixability: 3\10. I had a lot of clumps. I mixed it w\ 8-10 oz of water. I tried different shakers but the same result.

Price: 8\10. 23 For an isolate isn't bad for me personally. I have noticed my gas has gone down a lot so paying the extra $$ for isolates is worth it to me and my family.

Quality: 10\10. Primaforce. Nuff said there

Would I buy again: No. I would opt for Watermelon.

Editors Note: After using the new and improved version the flavor still stands but the mixability is greatly improved.

SI03 Fuzzy Navel

Taste: 8/10 I liked it a lot. It has a very good citrus combination of fruits. Its sweet but not too sweet. It still tastes good with oats and when its real cold. I don’t know if i would keep it as a staple like my Substance Watermelon but it does offer a good switch.

Mixability: 10/10. Not one clump.

Price: 7/10. Its an isolate so higher price is to be expected but i found gf-pro and substance cheaper online. And the dymtyze iso-100 offers a 5lbs of isolate and gf-pro will be offered soon as well. So the price hopefully will fall a little.

Final Score: 8/10

Editors Note: After using a bottle I wouldn’t re-order

ErgoPharm GF-Pro Blueberry

Taste: Very good and very rich. It has a stong blueberry flavor. It does not leave any after taste. It is some what chemically but not as bad as others. I really enjoy this flavor. 9\10

Mixablilty: Mix's well in a shaker and in oatmeal. In oats you normally see the colors like red and blue. I normally make all of my shakes in the majic bullet. When made it the bullet it comes out nice and thick the way i like. 9\10

Price: For me isolates are the only way other wise my gas gets terrible so I am used to paying for higher prices. It's $28 for 2lbs on bodybuilding.com. It's not the cheapest but it's good quality and tasting. The rasberry lemonade is real good as well. Price is subjective imho, some have more money to spend on supps then others so its up to you but $28 for 2lbs gets a 6/10

Overall: I enjoy this flavor and i have ordered a 5lbs tub and looking forward to getting it. 9\10

Met-Rx AMPED

First The Thanks: I would like to thank MCWTRAINER and the entire Met-Rx company for letting me review AMPED. I would also like to thank my parents for helping me. And I cannot forget everyone who's followed this log. Your comments and positive attitude helped me keep me pumping some heavy iron!

For my review I will go over: Taste, Mixability, Amped ECN Pumped Blend, Amped ECN Nitro Blend, Amped ECN Neuro-Energy Blend, Amped ECN NOS Blend and finally Price.

Taste I personally found the taste to be quite refreshing. Before loosing all of my weight I drank fruit punch and this tasted a lot like normal fruit punch. The carbonation did not affect me as much as I originally thought. Overall 8\10

Mixability Amped mixed pretty well. There was some powder not dissolved 100% but it wasn’t terrible. 9\10

Amped ECN Pumped Blend On the bottle it states that this will help in strength\ power and recover and I have to say indeed it did. Dieting at 1900 calories + 5 days of cardio I felt that I would be lucky to gain any strength. Well I deadlifted 405lbs x3, smith squatting 275lbs x5 and putting up 85lbs on DB bench. I KNOW my strength increase a lot from this product. 10\10

Amped ECN Nitro Blend This is just 1.2 grams of BCAA’s. I was already consuming Xtend Pre + Post workout. I don’t know how greatly the 1.2g helped on the bottle it states it helps support nitrogen levels, which BCAA’s do. 7\10

Amped ECN Neuro-Energy Blend If you read my comment you noticed I consistently talked about the focus and mind muscle connection that I felt while on AMPED. This I thought was my favorite part of AMPED. I thought I could pull weight and I just pulled it. 10\10

Amped ECN NOS Blend This is the NO inducer part of AMPED. I did receive a good pump while on this product. I got one on my back which I extremely rare for me. I also have increased vascularity while on AMPED (Still do). I have noticed it in my arms and also in my legs! 9.5\10

Price For $43.89 you get 22.5 servings the way we had the dosing set up. It lasted a little longer then one month. The price is really up the consumer but me college student money isn’t flowing in consistently. But the results I got from AMPED have convinced me that’s it’s a great product overall. I will be ordering it again soon but not until mid-late February. 7.5\10

Overall Score 8.7

Coulaid’s Review Of MRM BCAA +G!

Taste: Every one knows that BCAA’s on there own are not very pleasant. MRM manages to have a GREAT tasting BCAA product. I would say this rivals Scivations Xtend Watermelon. The lemonade flavor is almost identical to Crystal Light Lemonade but it’s not overly sweet. This is quite refreshing throughout the day and can only get better during the spring and summer. 9\10

Mixability: BCAA’s do not dissolve 100% on there own, but MRM BCAA +G mixes pretty well for BCAA’s. Nothing that 5-10mins in the fridge couldn’t solve for me. Once I let it it sit for 5-10 minutes everything was dissolved. 9\10

Quality: Compared to Xtend per serving MRM BCAA +G has less BCAA’s, Glutamine, Vitamin B6 and no CM but if you double the serving to four scoops you will get MORE BCAA’s but less Glutamine (-.5g), Vitamin B6(-6mg) and still no CM(-1g). CM + Glutamine can be easily bought in bulk and added if one wished. But I like the greater amount of BCAA’s. 8\10

Price: It sells for $53.95 on Bodybuilding.com. Per serving it sells for $0.33, but if you double the serving as I recommend doing you pay $0.65 per serving. Compared to others it’s a little more expensive but you do get more BCAA’s then the others. Cheaper then all of the flavored is bulk BCAA’s. Flavoring bulk BCAA’s on your own can save some $$$. 6/10

Final Score: 8\10

Coulaid’s X-Factor + ActivaTE Review

Measurements: Arm: 15”(+1”)
Chest: 43”(+2)
Waist (Measured At Belly Button): 34”(+0)
Quad:24.5” (+2.5)
Calf: 16”(+0) – I Know they grew

Gains: Weight: 217lbs (+17.5lbs)

Body Fat: +4%

Strength: WOW. I have never gained so much strengh or muscle mass in 50days in my life. Benching 305lbs and squating 405lbs! I think just those numbers and my new measurements speak for themselfs. This is the 2nd best part of this stack.

Fat Burning: Jeepers! Being an endo\meso combo, gaining fat tend to be pretty easy for me. I was going about 1pound a week eating around 2500 cals prior to starting this stack. I was able to get my cald up to 5202! I was gaing about 2-3lbs this way and I was just amazed. Look for me to run this stack when Coulaid goes pre contest in the spring of 2007.

Sides:
Doms: No significant amount.

Sleep Problems: Only at the beginning.

Acne: None.

Final Scores:

Gains: 10\10

Fat Burning: 10\10

Sides: 10\10

Mega Cissus\Symmetry

Final Measurements
Arm: 16”
Chest: 43”
Waist (Measured At Belly Button): 34”
Quad:24.5”
Calf: 16”

Results: I have mixed feelings about this log. Cissus helped with my joints a lot. My shoulder feels good but does still bug me every once in a while. My libido did go up pretty good. My measurements also went up but strength went up but I cannot say it was due to Cissus+ Symmetry but rather my normal progression.

Final Thoughts: Despite some solid up in measurements I feel as this could have been done without the hefty price tag that this log would cost on its own. I would recommend cissus for joints any day but not for muscle growth or strength. With Symmetry I cannot recommend it as I don’t feel as it did much and considering the controversy about the ingredients.

Coulaid’s Final Score: 6/10

RE: Coulaid Drops Reviews Like It's Hot! - Saturday, November 18, 2006 11:19 AM
Satur8 Rush + Re-Satur8

Weight: 220lbs

Bodyfat: 16%

LBM: 185lbs

Measurements:
Arm: 16.25”
Chest: 43.5”
Waist (Measured At Belly Button): 34”
Quad:25”
Calf: 16.25”

Satur8 Rush:
I always had very nice and clean energy from Rush. I found the energy provided was very clean. Some people have reported with other “Rush” type products that they have gotten sick to their stomach; I never once had a feeling of being sick to my stomach.

I like the fact that there is no proprietary blend and you know how much your getting of every ingredient.

I also had pretty good pumps during my workouts. Rush provided a good pump, but it wouldn’t last to much past leaving the gym approximately 30mins after I left. I have never been one who’s gotten pumps to last all day but this was very good.

The taste of grape wasn’t the best but I have had a lot worse. I suggest getting Orange or Lemon.

Overall I would Rank Satur8 Rush an 8.5\10. B

Re-Satur8:

IMHO this is one of the better creatine blends on the market. There are 3g of CEE, 3g of DiCreatine Malate plus 1g on Mono. I have found when using bulk CEE I still need 5g both pre\post workout. I feel that getting this blend PWO eliminates the need for higer amounts of creatine pre-workout.

Training body parts 2x a week can be tricky while cutting but I feel Re-Satur8 helped tremendously with recovery. I had some DOMS but nothing what I used to have during the Scivation transformation contest (Last time I was cutting).

Re-Satur8 does contain 30g of high gi carbs. Although I do not like drinking my carbs I do feel that the 30g did help and can be used in moderation. I personally cannot go much above 30g of high GI a day with out gaining some amount a fat. I am just very carb sensitive.

Both orange and lemonade are very tasty. I suggest trying Re-Satur8 Orange in a good vanilla protein like Substance… It’s delish! I looked forward to drinking my Re-Satur8 daily.

Overall I would Rank Satur8 Rush a 9.25\10. A-

I would like to thank Kevin over at ISS for setting this up. This is a great stack I will run it again

RE: Coulaid Drops Reviews Like It's Hot! - Saturday, November 18, 2006 11:21 AM
Coulaids Final Review Of GaKIC, LeuKIC + CreaKIC!

Effectiveness: I thought this stack was very effective. A saw increases in LBM, Strength, Endurance and Recovery.

Strength: I went not only in terms of lbm lifted but as well as reps completed. I was very pleased with this as strength is not my goal and considering my rep range during this log(12-15) I was pleased to say the least.
Endurance: I was able to crank out more reps with the same weight. Also I found myself ready to preform the next shorter amounts of time. Also cardio seemed to go by easier did not feel as bad 30+ minutes which normally I am dead by.
Recovery: I thought this way great. With this rep scheme which I have never really done before I felt that I was recovering very well. I didn’t think I was until I got the the KIC stack.

Price: The Muscle building stack runs about $75 online for a 15 day supply. That is cheaper then buying them 1 by 1. I would say this is the one negative I could say. It’s expensive to say the least. Score: 5/10

Sides: None

Flavor\Caps: Although I have never used it GaKIC powder doesn’t taste so well. Also If you don’t like caps this stack isn’t for you as I was popping 26 Caps on workout days. But for me this wasn't a problem at at. Score: 10/10

Misc: Say what you want about MuscleTech but I found this stack very good. The only negative I found would be the price. I do feel this stack should be considered when looking into new supplements. Just a note: Take GaKIC EARLY! The earlier the better. I was taking Gakic 90-120 minuets pre-workout. I felt this is key to getting maximum benefits out of it. I would take it on an “empty” stomach before my pre-workout meal with about 16oz of water. I found that set up the best.

I would with out a doubt use this stack again!

Feel free to ask me any questions about the stack!

The Final Score: 9/10

Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide Review!

Flavor: Chocolate

What’s In Ultra Peptide?

Supplement Facts:

Serving Size: 1 Scoop Servings Per Container: 29
Amount Per Serving:
Calories 115 Calories from Fat 5
Total Fat 1.5g 1%
Saturated Fat .5%
Cholesterol 5mg 1%
Carbs 2.5g
Dietary Fiber 0g 0%
Sugars 0g
Protein 23g
Other Ingredients: (Ultra Peptide)Proprietary protein blend (pure undenatured low temperature processed micellar casein, cross flow microfiltered whey protein isolate, milk protein isolate, l-glutamine)N&A flavors, sucralose, and xanthan gum.
Taste:
I really enjoy UP Chocolate. You really don’t know it’s a protein shake. Their is no artificial taste or metallic taste I find with many proteins. It tastes to me like swiss miss hot chocolate but when its cold. Its quite good. The only thing you really notice is a slight grittiness from the casein. It is also quite tasty when mixed into oatmeal. This is easily in my top 3 proteins to drink. 9.5/10
Mixability:
Mixes perfectly in a shaker and with a spoon or fork. I have never had clumps or anything. 10/10
The Blend:
We KNOW the MC is 51% of the total blend. How do we know this when Dave(Customizer) was in ThermoChat as a special guest he disclosed this information. Also there is only WPI and MPI which is very good for those who have stomach issues with concentrates. 10/10
Price:
It’s about $28 for 2lbs in the Cyberstore. Although somewhat expensive compaired to WPI people must remember this is a blend of mostly MC and NOT WPC. When looking at a blend this must be noted. No other company to my knowledge has disclosed this information. Dave should be commended for being honest with his custemers. Thats why I’ll continue to support Xtreme Formulations. 8/10
Final Thoughts: I really enjoy it and recommend this blend to anyone.

Final Score: 9/10

PrimaForce Substance Review!

Flavor: Vanilla

What’s In Substance?
What's In It?
Supplement Facts:

Serving Size: 1 Scoop (26.58g)
Servings Per Container: 34
Amount Per Serving:

Sugars: 0g
Protein: 22g
Ingredients:?Whey protein isolate, lecithin, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, sucralose, acesulfame K, malic acid, red #40, blue #1.
Taste:
Vanilla substance has a very strong metallic and artificial flavoring to it that really tuned me off from it. Even the smell is like i know this stuff is fake. Really disappointed in this. I really haven’t found a real good vanilla WPI\WPC. I have used ON’s, MRM’s, BSL,GF-Pro. BSL’s and GF-Pro are the best if i had a gun to my head but I really cannot say I like a vanilla whey kind of guy. I do however have a special spot in my hart for Vanilla Mass Meal. I will drink that all day. Back to substance, I used a bottle when it first came out and actually really liked it. There wasn't a change but it’s hard for me to take it down. I have been using it during my workouts with 8 scoops of watermelon Xtend. I actually mix it with 1 gallon of water to dilute the taste enough in order not to throw it up. 3/10
Mixability:
Mixes perfectly in a shaker and with a spoon or fork. I have never had clumps or anything. 10/10
Quality:
PrimaForce. 10/10
Price:
$23 for 2lbs for a WPI is right in the sweet spot for me for a WPI so I really can’t complain. 9/10
Final Thoughts:
I really didn’t like this Substance at all… I have used all for of the Substance flavors as this is my last bottle here are my thoughts on the rest of the flavors:
• Chocolate: Not Good when used as a shake… Good when mixed in with oat meal. 6/10

  • Watermelon: Good, but strong artificial after taste. And once you have BSL’s watermelon… you’ll never return I promose you.. Prob my number 1 protein.... 8/10

VPX Zero Impact Bar Review!

    Flavor: Chocolate Peanut Butter

    What’s In Zero Impact Bar?
What's In It?

    Nutrition Facts:

    Serving Size: 1 Bar
    Servings Per Container: 12
    Amount Per Serving:

    Protein - 30g

Ingredients: Proprietary Protein Matrix: Whey protein isolate, milk protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, Micellean Micellar Casein Protein; Proprietary Fat Burning & Healthy Fats Matrix: Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Sunflower Butter, SesaLean (Sesamin); Semisweet Chocolate, Honey, Maltitol, Whole Grain Oats, 99.7 USP Glycerin, Low DE Corn Syrup, Water, Brown Rice Syrup, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Dutch Process Cocoa, Lecithin, Potassium Sorbate, Salt, Mixed Tocopherols and/or Graham Cracker Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Oats Rolled.
Where Can I Buy VPX Zero Impact Bars?
    BodyBuilding.com Silly!

    Taste:
I was very pleased with the bar. This is more of the “cake” bar type apposed to the candybar syle of others. The Texture was very good. I was like i really dense cake. The chocolate flavoring was a little strong for me. I would have liked to have more peanut flavoring but it still was quite good. My really only other complaint was the bar was a little to hard. I know its not gonna be as moist as a home made cake but i also don’t it to be a brick. If you want a meal this is your bar as it’s quite filling. It does sit heavy in your stomach. So people may not like this pre-workout\cardio

    7/10
Profile:
I am not a fan of the profile at all. You have to keep in mind that right now I am an endomorph who’s cutting. I felt the 42g of carbs as well as the 21g of fat lent itself more to a bulking. This is defiantly a meal and not so much a solid food + a bar 5/10
Quality:
I really like the protein blend of WPI, MPI, WPC and MC. This is probably the best protein blend in a bar. I have a hard time find a better protein blend. The carbohydrate blend is great too: honey, rolled oats and sweet potato’s. Same with fats. Its all good, peanut butter, almond butter, sesamin. Your hard pressed to get a better profile bar. 10/10
Price:
$26 for 2lbs for a box of 12. I am not a big bar buyer but looking at other bars this seems pretty competitive. 9/10
Final Thoughts:
I enjoyed VPX Zero Impact Bar’s but most likely will not be re-ordeing for the following reasons:
• The profile really doesn’t fit into my diet now. Even looking at my bulking diet it’s awkward adjusting all other calories around this bar. It’s good but not worth all of the work. If I was away from food I may give this bars a shot but the so high carbohydrate content kills it for me.

  • The fact it sat like a brick in my stomach was a huge turn off. I had it at breakfast and it felt like it wasn’t moving through me at all. I was I would hate to workout with this in me. Or have to move around to much after eating it.

Final Score: 6.5/10
