i didnt gain 11 lbs in 11 days....i gained 11 lbs. in 21 days.  And my tests werent wrong....i check my weight 2-3 times daily and bf% every day during the week (is that weird?)  I really did gain 11 lbs.  I'm only on fish oil and on 100% whey right now, and i've been taking the whey for months, my diet stayed the same

oh, i take 2 fish oil caps 3 times daily after the 3 big meals i have

Fish oil will not do this for you.. Plain and simple ..research EFA's. What's the brand of pills you are taking? Mine suggest only 2 a day.

Also, how old are you?  It's possible to gain the weight if you are still maturing, especially starting a better free weight workout mixed with other supps.

I highly doubt your gains were through the result of taking fish oil.  Fish oil promotes weight loss and healthy skin amongst other things.  You might be eating differently or your growth is a result of another supplement.

this doesnt make any sense, how the hell do you get huge off of fish oil? its a fatty acid, when the hell do fatty acids make you get big?

I have to agree with the above comments.  Smile

Sounds to me like the WHEY and 3 BIG MEALS you’ve taking are what increased your gains and not the fish oil.

yeah but ive been on whey for over a year and ive been the same always.  The fish oil pills are SPRING VALLEY brand if that makes any difference.  They say to take 1 capsule 3 times daily after meals, and i take 2 each time 3 to 4 times daily.  I'm not saying that fish oil caused all that gain, but i am saying that i did gain 11 lbs in 21 days, and fish oil was the only thing that ive changed

Is it cholesterol free fish oil? That's what mine says.

You got down to the 4%'s at 171?

Hmm was just wondering what you're benching right now though to see what percentage of you weight it is.

Vaughn, just becuz you're a major hardgainer too doesn't mean you have to be jealous.  And if you think about it, it's not even that good....I've gained 11 lbs in almost 11 months of hard work.  I think I was more than deserving of that.  Plus, if I was lying about my stats, then I'd say I gain 11 lbs every month or sumthing, but I have honestly gained 11 lbs in what's now about 4 weeks.  I'm at 4.7% odw and I can bench 225 maybe 235 on a smith machine, and I'm not sure about what I can do on a free-weight bench.  I know that max sucks compared to my weight, but I honestly don't care about how strong I am, size is all that matters.

maybe you should read everything before you call me a lier, teamGNC....I'm not saying that fish oil is what made me put on 11 pounds.  I am, however, saying that I gained 11 pounds in now 28 days, and fish oil is the only thing i changed in diet/exercise/anything.  I don't know why i gained that much, but it was well-deserved, hardgained, and i just think its coincidental that fish oil was the only thing that i changed

Im not calling you a LIER....im calling you a LIAR.Smile
And judging by your current stack...noxplode, leukix, kre akalyn, etc, etc...i'd say that those are the supplements giving you the gains. My best friend is on a cycle of Test 350, Winni V, D-Bol, and an assload of calories and even he is not making those gains. So i suggest before you get on here and run some hype about making an 11lb gain in 28 days on fish oil ...you might wanna go ahead and delete your current stack that you have posted there to make ur story just a tad bit more believable.
Now lets go ahead and close the thread and move on.

TeamGNC, first of all, don't tell me not to come in like I'm some type of noob.  Not that it matters, but I do have about 350 more posts than you.  And I'm not trying to start any hype or make a salespitch, in fact, I believe it's you that does that...am i right?....always promoting new products that way overpriced at GNC?...maybe I'm wrong.  And my bad about my supps list down below my name.  I stopped taking those about 2 or 3 months ago, when college started.  I am only on Whey and Fish Oil, no matter what my supps thing says, cuz its old

Nice weightgain

Out of interest is fish oil obtainable from just eating fish?
I eat a lot of tuna (over 100 grams a day) and i was wondering whether this will equate to the same amount of fish oil you have?

Fish Oil....That's it.  I just discovered fish oil.  I've seen ppl list it in their supplements that they take and recommend it to other people, but no where have I read why.  So, I bought some for 3$, a 2 month supply of the stuff.  I started lifting July of 2005 at 146 pounds.  In five months, I was up 16 pounds, so that put me at 162.  That was pretty awesome.  Then the second semester of school started, and I had a p.e. class, so I finally got to lift with free weights and do squats, bench press, etc. instead of my standalone, all-in-one weight machine at home.  I finished school at 159 pounds....what the heck, lost weight?!?  I was eating healthy and lifting properly....

October 7, 2006 (160 pounds with clothes)
At walmart, looking at their supps, not interested, then I see fish oil.  It was cheap, I had money....it was mine.  October 28, 171 pounds naked and starving (not literally, as i cannot fully understand the meaning of starving as ive never been dying of it).

Seriously what in the world would cause it to have such an effect.  Roughly 11 pounds of muscle.  Oh yeah, and my bf% went down a little!

I'm not saying fish oil will do this to you too, but if you havent gained in forever, like me, then i would advise you to make a 3$ investment and test your luck.  I'll post some new pics once i get up to 180.  I'm still shredded and everything, its weird.  Arms and chest are noticably bigger...i dunno.  It's crazy.

You guys can respond to this if you want, but i am mainly posting it just to tell about it.

some times your mental health and even the time of year affects your gains aswell

but sometimes i think all people do on here is talk bs about there gains

May i just point out as a soon to be qualified chemist and biochemist that because fish oils dont have a direct bodily outcome of muscle weightgain does not mean the weightgain wasnt because of it.

Many products go into your body, get changed around, and through them changes allow something to occur.

The human body has thousands of different things going on inside it every minute and one atom difference can be life and death with some substances, if you ever get taught chemistry to an advanced level you will know that simply substituting one hydrogen atom from a hydrocarbon (what most organic substances contain) will give the molecule a completely different reaction.

Like cpl said, everyones different, and maybe fishoil has done something to toolmans metabolic process to help him gain

at the end of the day, there are these scenarios

1.He actually did get the gains, he got them through the fishoil-end of story-hes happy, and so everyone else should be
2.He actually did get the gains, he got them through roids and GH stuff-hes happy, its his body, and hes not selling anything like cpl said, were focusing on our training-were happy.
3.Hes lying-so? Millions of people right at this moment of reading are lying, who cares? everyone does it, who cares if hes lying, as long as youre making gains who cares, and quite frankly, even if you did buy a $3 of fishoil and it didnt help-at least its only $3, and at least it makes you healthier.

I think many people in this forum think they know everything and of course, its not true. Sometimes you can be so frustraited because u cant gain any weight that ur body its like "not responding to any ****ing product". Thats why maybe toolman was only taking whey and fish oil, lifting without any type of preocupation,  and he started getting bigger. Everything is mental.

ps: i dont think u can find omega 3, 6 or 9 in any product. I mean natural product.
