Hmmm, that's a good idea I hadn't considered--doing Jeff's light primer workout in the interim.  Makes a lot of sense.  Keeps the nervous system primed, but as long as I keep it light and easy, I shouldn't prolong this farking cold.  Ok, so maybe tomorrow I'll give it a go, and pay attention to how I feel. Thanks, Marc!

BTW, nice new avatar.  Looking pretty damn studly!

Why am I so slow!  My partner swears by that stuff, too!  I wonder why he didn't remind me about it . . . Hmmm, let me see if it was a plot to knock me off. . . <later> He claims innocence and forgetfulness.  Yeah yeah yeah.  I'll do that, Coop, thanks for the reminder!

I used airbone this entire week as my wife has been sick.  I've taken it twice a day.  Hope it works again.

it's the Nomad Cold!  It can't decide where it wants to reside--my throat? my sinuses? my stomach?  Today we're back in the sinuses.

It's incredibly frustrating.

Yes and no on the food plan.  I'm eating my programmed menu for the most part, and getting in multiple meals a day.  But I'm always hungry (is it feed a cold, starve a fever, I can never remember?).  So I've had extra meals, mostly cereal (shredded grains) and milk.  My legs ache, and I'm sleeping poorly (combination of d*&^^%$ virus and lack of exercise).  ARGHHHHHHHHH!  I imagine that I'm getting fatter and weaker by the moment!

Thanks for letting me get the drama queen out of me.

Sorry to hear that man, just focus on day to day goals like keeping your diet straight, and eventually getting back into it man... dont look at the big picture to much or its going to piss you off...

And your not starting a whole new journey, you are just starting up a new fork in the road, you have allready come a long way... just a slightly new direction. Smile

I'm making a big comeback.  Did legs the other day.  Went light on the deads.. but did seated leg curls and it worked out fine.

Was able to do forward lunges in super form at 70 lbs.

Squats seemed okay as well.  It's the deadlifts that agitates that muscle.  I gotta make a full recovery so I can go heavy on the deads!!

I am trying to avoid anything to even remotely makes the hammy pull any worse.  Really I think it was a ham stabilizer or just another small muscle on the backside and not my actual hamstring.

Anyway... get over the cold dude!  Now.  You need to experience the full effects of O.A.!

I'm thinking . . . hoping! I can go back to the gym tomorrow.  I'm actually mapping out my workouts for the next couple of weeks as I type this.

Hey Marc, what's your philosophy on the exercise selection from week-to-week?  Phase-to-phase?

I tend to switch it up every single workout and avoid any exercises that are problematic (shoulder press).  Otherwise, I tend to just vary it every single time if I can so I keep fresh and not too bored.
