tall people do have a tad more work to do, not only that but most tall people are thinner, and have less or the same muscle tissue as a 5'8 guy average but its stretched out further.

However saying that, a tall bone foundation can lead to some seriously ****ing huge mass monsters.

The only problem with veing very tall is deadlifts, squats can be a bitch too i heard when youre tall.

I see im a little late here but to let you know, Your not weak at all, your actually above average for your age. Just to let you know, dont let people bring you down on the INTERNET by how strong they say ESPECIALLY in a teenage forum. You see what i mean? and actually use what they say as a motivation to get your stats better.

If anyone checks any of my posts i use a lot of ellipses too, i do it out of habit now, as ive been typing for years and i have a thing for just clicking the mouse or tapping keys when thinking etc, as a result i type a lot of ellipses, I do not believe it has any direct effect on that persons knowledge.

HOLY ****, EINSTEIN USED AN ELLIPSES DURING ONE OF HIS DOCUMENTS ON SPECIAL RELATIVITY!

come on boys, lets destroy the lab, its all obviously wrong...

Riiiiight.

As long as no one net types im fine with ellipses, even when i didnt use them excessively

EDIT:DA and grantoiz have made me happy

Ive never seen someone as young as 13-16 bench that much either

Hell i now go to the gym with 5 people
1.my g/f
2.her 16 year old bro
3.One certain 17 year old friend
4.Another friend at 17
5.And another friend at 17

None of us can max over 150lbs

In fact i am the strongest at bench out of all of us, and my bench suxxors amazingly.
And one of these guys is 6'3" 200lbs 10% fat, and he struggles benching 100lbs right now.

Friday just gone i saw two 14 year old looking boys in the gym, and they were training with a 25kg bar with 5kg weights on it for a few reps, and adding 2.5kg plates on for the max, thats 88lbs for there max.

i agree with link about the ellipses.  I do the same thing.  Lol between those 2 sentences i made an ellipse but i changed it..

As far as the weights you guys are talking about.  You're making me feel strong lol.  I know a 17 y/o who can bench 275 easy and he wouldnt try 300 (he's kinda shy).  I guess it just comes with the territory of football..  all the lineman on the team bench more or equal to me so i consider myself weak in general.  However my squat is higher than a lot of them (recently stopped squat because of my back problems).

...i personally think some of the people here have bullshitted with there stats

all i know is that almost everyone at my school lies like hell about there stats. in a 1/2 hour i saw 2 different ppl to get on the bench and fail to even push 3/4 of what they said and i know everyone else lies their asses off too.  it just piszes me of cus its not like we're gonna talk sh*t if they can only do 95lbs, y do they have to lie

I have still to this day never seen a 14 year old bench over 120lbs.

Then you probably haven't seen enough, today I went to the gym with a 13 year old kid which goes to judo for almost a year, the guy bench 135 pounds 6 times twice and then once 150 pounds with a little help.

If you want to, I could actually record it on a cellphone or a digital camera and send it to you!

By the way,  a question. You know when you bench there are two lines on the bar, I used to grab the bar exactly up to those lines, but for some reason that was too wide. I read that you have to grab a bit more wider than your shoulders, which is the right way for me? I'm 16 and about 172 cm.

3-5 pounds a month is mince meat. those aren't big gains. HOw much protein are you consuming a day?

Are you kidding me? Thats up to 60lbs in a year. If I had done that since I started working out I'd be 330lbs of muscle. So I'd say its a very good pace to be at if you can keep it consistently.

when i was on creatine i was somewhere around like 3 grams a day?
To my diet, i eat well, fruit, veggies, MEAT. although somedays i get a little bad.

the lady at gnc probably said that to get you to have to buy more whey protein powder . when i was on a lower calorie diet i ate my body weight in protein but now i eat 1.5x my body weight. if you look into it most people eat 1 to 1.5x there body weight. i know a few who eat more but ive never heard any of the ones that eat less have problems gaining including myself. i got great gains even eating just my body weight. i was 170lbs and ate 170grams of protein or sometimes a little less and i still got just as good of gains as i do now if not better at times so i wouldnt worry about trying to eat 2x your weight.

edit:theres a good article on protein in this thread that explains alot about protein needs
