A New Sheep - Tuesday, July 04, 2006 6:17 AM
After finishing chapter 5 of BFFM, I have come to the conclusion I have a good amount of endomorph in me.  This can explain why I always go sit down and watch TV rather than wanting to do athletics.  This also can explain why while sitting down, instead of being productive, like say, logging a fitness journal, I do nothing.

But, I will not use this as an excuse to be lazy, I intend to embrace my endomorphic side and use it as motivation.  I need it to get my lazy ass off the couch and computer everyday.  Sometimes, I am so lazy, I think to myself, you should go to sleep to be well rested, but instead, I continue to sit on the computer doing nothing productive.

So, this being said, be prepared for me to start this journal which I intend to keep.  The first workout I log should be tomorrow’s quad and ham workout.  I intend to log even “rest” days.  I want to see results.  Every time they come, I get sidetracked, and when I return, I start back at the bottom of the hill.

I need to lift the weights and do the cardio.  I need to structure my meal plan and STOP going out with my friends several times a week for food.  I need to resist the cravings for delicious sweets.

I need to stop making excuses for missing the gym; I only hurt myself in the end.

Pester me, do not allow my laziness to continue.

Tom Venuto's: "BFFM" E-book is great!... 1-10: I'd give it an 8!

Good Luck!

I find that a new routine or some crazy workout keeps me motivated.

Kinda challenging.  I'll be honest.

My biggest inspiration comes from trying to follow BodybuildingSecrets.com and seeing if I'm anywhere near as crazy as Venuto.

While he's obviously not in my gym, I do find it sort my own competitive nature keeps me motivated to see if I have the guts to keep up.

Many times, I get my butt handed to me.  Other times, I'm pretty proud.

Sounds like you need some serious motivation.  Passion bro!  Passion.

Week One, Day One

Today I went into the gym with my friend, I was dead tired.  Fueled on 4 hours of sleep and a long day of work, I proceeded to attack my Quads and Hammies.  They put up no defense.  Must have relaxed too much since they weren't hit in over a month.  Well, one things for sure, I won't be walking right tomorrow.  I always detest the first Squat day back, they always fail too early.  I even went easy by taking 20 lbs of of my last leg day.

Squats
1 set of 8 reps @ 165lbs
2 sets of 5 reps@ 165lbs

DB Lunges
3 sets of 8 reps @ 15lb DB

Stiff Legged Deads
2 sets of 8 reps @ 145lbs
1 set of 5 reps @ 145lbs

20 minutes on a Recumbent Bike

The girl I went with will help me make sure I do Cardio.  I think on Friday, next time she comes, we are going to do 40 min on the bike.

I planned to do Leg Extensions and Leg Curls in addition to what I did, but, I ended up barely able to move.  In the stiffies I felt like puking, so I gave up.

Next leg day will rock!  I will be prepared and hopefully more rested!

Stay tuned for tomorrow!

haha, while your first leg day may not have been as intense as mine, youre gonna feel some serious pain in 2 days time most likely, good work btw, your body will get used to the workouts after a week really, they did with me, I am about 30% as sore as i was last week, and ive been pushing myself harder this week.

Don't I know it!

Its always like this when I come back, ESPECIALLY legs.

So far today they are not sore, which is good, but right now it feels like I am dragging logs.

I really wish it won't be too sore tomorrow, because I will be doing deads.

Today is just shoulders and triceps... just a preview!  Should be ok, I kept up a little more with shoulders.

I just ate 1 before logging on here, strange lol, thats why i put my squats and deadlifts together, so my legs dont quiver for which either exercise wouldve come 2nd lol.
2nd day is always the worst from my personal experience, even before the 2 weeks ive done lol.

Sheep.... just curious.

Have you any written goals of what you want to accomplish short term/long term with your workouts?

Or are you just working out and trying to move forward in some capacity?
