Way back these were my stats at 149lbs (with inflammation of the muscles from my sudden return to the gym, which is why i believe these numbers are a bit strange)

old stats
18 years 10 Months Old
6' 3/4"
Biceps cold: 12 1/2" Smile
Pumped: 13"
Chest: 38 1/2"
waist: 29-31" (it ranges from this, no im not ****ting anyone, my waist size goes down 2 inches after i sleep LOL)
Thighs: 21 1/2"
calfs : 14 1/2"
forearms: 11 1/4"

19 years old (Only a few days off lol)
6' 3/4"
Biceps cold:12 3/4"
Pumped:13"
Chest:39 1/4"
Waist:28"-30"
Thighs:21 1/4" (yet i squat way more)
Calfs:14 1/2"
forearms11 1/2"

Ive gained 7lbs but my measurements arent that much bigger, either my maths is way off (most likely) or i have gained all this in my back, which would make sense given the fact that im nearing my old 230lbs deadlift max for 5x5 reps.

While i like deadlift and back strength-id prefer it to be an all round thing, with every muscle lol.

My legs havent grown a bit, theyve shrunk, wtf?!

My belt goes to 29" smallest, and unfortunately im waking up with a 28" waist, thus my trousers (pants) keep riding up and down, and its bloody annoying.

Saturday 19th of August
Weight:155lbs (mwahahahahahaha!)
BF:7% (maybe more now havent done it in a week or two now)
Nutrition:standard+pizza (droooooeeeeewwwwwwllllll)
 
Rest day/Working day
 
i was shocked to see this weight gain, but im happy too lol, im hoping to reach maybe 160-162lbs when i change my routine, and then add another 10-15lbs with that one for 8 weeks, totalling around 15 weeks with 22lbs weightgain, which will be good, that will get me to 175-180lbs which means i only need 20lbs after that, which i plan to do around february march time, and then shed off any extra BF%, if my BF% is 10% or less-i might continue to bulk to 220lbs
 
This is what i am planning anyway, no doubt my weightgain will be slower but im hoping these new routines make my body get its ass in gear lol.

Weight:154.5lbs (ACH NOO LADDY I LOST A .5LBS, DO YEH WANT SOME JIMMY?!...That should stop my metabolism from farting in church, threaten the bugger, hey im up for anything with weightgain now lol)
BF:7.3% (dun dun dun! ive been lying about my bf% for weeks i tells yeh! im actualy 7.3%! oh my ****ing god this changes everything! NEW JOURNAL PEOPLE! haha)
Nutrition:Standard plus maybe something else if im feeling znappy later.
 
Ok my day went weird
I felt really awake
Then i was tired as hell and pissed off (starting new area of work, and i dont like learning new things, because i usually **** up a lot, however when i do get the hang of something im usually more effecient than most)
Then i was normal
 
And now im feeling SERIOUSLY awake, really happy and giggly, and god knows what else...i have no idea what the hell has happened to me
Ive drunk no red bull, im not caffein withdrawing, and i havent been out drinking so its not a spiked drink, i just feel REALLY good! Its bloody weird...but funny.
Oh
 
and Rest day/work day

I finally did it....i finally managed to actually make my arms tired, and now the next morning, theyre ever so slightly sore...just a bit...YAY lol, took a bloody lot though, i basically did 5 arm exercises...heres the catch-i didnt give myself any rest time between every set and exercise change, just went straight to the next one after 10 seconds

Exercise 1:Benchpress
1x5@ 110lbs
1x4@ 121lbs
1x3@ 132lbs
4x5@ 110lbs

Exercise 2:Dumbell flyes
1x5@ 44lbs (usually i can now get through a good 5x5 at 44lbs, but the benching just totally killed me for strength so...)
4x5@ 37.4lbs

These 2 exercises totally killed my chest-its bloody sore today though, and i can now bench 132lbs 3 times solidly, im pretty pleased with myself right now for that, something tells me the numbers might be changing for my new routine, i wanted to do 132lbs for the 5 reps and 121lbs for the 8 reps, and im pretty much halfway there for 1 set of it.
And i want to try and force my chest into a 121lbs 5x5 routine by the end of week 12

Exercise 3: Hanging arm concentration curls
5x5@ 24.4lbs

Exercise 4:Concentration curls (sitting)
5x5@ 24.4lbs

These 2 exercises feel very different, try them.

Exercise 5:Barbell curls
3x5@ 55lbs (this is difficult)
2x5@ 44lbs (my strength died lol)

Exercise 6:Close grip chin-ups
5x5@ BW (and that was enough)

Experiment:
i can do 4 chinups with one arm.

My arms died at this point lol

But im glad about today, especially my chest

Nutrition:standard+meal out+extremely high calorie toffe fudge cake....oh my god i want more...
 
This day i got an ego bash-i think.
My deadlifts just fell apart, however my other workouts make me think it was just "one of those days"
 
I felt tired, and dehydrated and im putting it down to that
 
However my training weights might be going down a smidge and i shall be incorporating the use of very slow reps, rather than average reps...Anyway heres how i went
 
Deadlifts
1x5@ 210lbs
1x4@ 210lbs (my strength just went, my arms felt light and tingly, and my wrists ****ing caned too, i think i damaged my wrists more than i thought on mondays benching)
1x4@ 198lbs (My strength went again, and i was tiring a lot)
2x5@ 176lbs (This still took a lot of effort to do)
 
Notes:My plan was to DL 220lbs 5x5 next week, however im now thinking i definitely wont be able to, i have either been adding too much weight too quickly and im reaping the negative effects now, or this day simply was like this due to dehydration and fatigue, i only got 6 hours sleep afterall, and my water intake was low
 
Then this happened
 
Squats:
1x10@ 110lbs (i usually warm up on 132lbs, but given my recent strength failure i thought i should play it safe, to find 110lbs was actually so easy i laughed)
1x5@ 165lbs (again too easy)
1x5@ 176lbs (started to feel a burn)
2x5@ 187lbs (this was a good weight, i reckon i can pull off a good 5x5 on 198lbs that day, but i thought better of it)
 
Im gonna be training on 210lbs DL next week and 187-198lbs squat next week
 
If i cannot-il drop either one until im comfortable, rest assured however, that i will drop no lower than 176lbs for DL and no lower than 154lbs for squats.
 
Ive been trying to add weight too quickly, i wont be trying to add 10lbs each week-its too much of a big jump, i shall add a 1.25kg (2.75lbs) plate each week, each side, making a 5lbs increase each week rather than 10lbs, i was going to add 10lbs every 2 weeks i know already-but that was instant, i shall now be doing it hopefully at least-gradually.
 
Despite me being able to squat that-i felt faint after, and lost most strength
 
I did this just to see what my new routine might be like, this was ego bruising at its most
 
dumbell rows (usual 5x5@ 65lbs with medium/hard level)
1x5@ 50lbs and i couldnt do more
 
then i went on to do some lovely reverse dumbell flyes, ive seen people do these via bending over slightly and really powering it up using a lot of there back-i shall be incorporating both methods
 
the one i did this day however, was whereby i laid on a bench on my stomach and raised them like that, and boy oh boy its tough
 
I never thought id be using a 3kg dumbell again! i thought id seen the last of them back when i was 5'11 at 130lbs when i got my weight set aged just a bit above 16 haha!
 
But yeah, 3kg each arm was enough to make my lats and traps burn like mad.
 
I did a bit of shrugging at 110lbs after.
 
 
 
 
I dont know if it was just because of my birthday, but i got a lot of comments along the lines of me looking "broader", i can personally notice it, compared to my old self, but i dunno...Maybe they were just being nice, my chest has increased in size and has actually puffed out a bit since i got that strength boost.
And since shrugging a lot and doing shoulder work ive got a bit wider.
 
The last few weeks i shall stick to my weight if it works, if it doesnt, lower the weight, and slow the reps down.

Week 9, Day 5
 
Friday 25th Of August
Weight:EDIT155lbs (IN THE MORNING!, 1lbs off my target veg! beware!) I was in the mentality of today-saturday when i was posting fridays stuff, bound to happen one day lol.
BF%:7.3%
Nutrition:Standard
 
Tricep and shoulder day...soon to be abdominal too when i can be arsed.
 
Basically-my wrists were ****ed at the start, theyre not hurting today (saturday) and ive just been lugging plasterboard everywhere and cutting it and shizz for 9 hours solid so im assuming my wrists are healed.
 
I was thinking of cutting this routine short and taking my week off after this one-as next monday my gym will be closed as its a bank holiday monday...I could go tuesday
 
I dont know what to do, take a week off or continue, because im just 2lbs off being heavier than i have EVER been in my ENTIRE life morning wise
 
Ah also, im going to supplement some new stuff soon, its similar stuff but has differences, the weightgainer il be getting has 500 calories per serving, with 60 servings for £22.99, my old stuff was 30 servings for the same price and only 400 calories per serving (new stuff is 75grams per serving, old stuff was 85grams per serving)
 
And im gonna be buying this shake that is basically for recovery and size, its loaded with everything, protein, creatine, glutamine, and all other very fancy words ive seen around the supplement forum-LOL.
 
Anyway heres how my workout went
 
1st exercise:weighted bench dips
2x5@ 88lbs on lap
3x5@ 110lbs on lap
 
2nd exercise:SKULL CRUSHERS PHWOAR love this exercise
2x5@ 33lbs
3x5@ 37.4lbs
 
3rd exercise: dumbell shoulder press
2x5@ 33lbs
3x5@ 37.4lbs
 
4th exercise:Barbell shoulder press
5x5@ 50lbs
 
My triceps have grown a lot
 
My arms today 36 hours after the workout are 13.25", a whole 1/2" gain, **** dude.

Basically im taking my week off now, as my gym was closed today, and i am pretty tired as ive worked 3 days in a row and theyve been tough days, so my body will enjoy a good rest.

I'll be taking Recovery packs, creatine and weightgainer on the workout days only.
 
Basically
I shall take 1 dose of creatine 1-1.5 hours before workout
1/2 dose of weightgainer before, and the other half after
and i shall take the recovery pack straight after the workout
 
 
The protein powder il take 3 shakes a day everyday.
 
 
As for this week, i shall be resting, apart from my left arm, its now 3/4" smaller than the right, im going to use this week off to train my left arm solidly, and hopefully get it at the very least a 1/4" bigger.
If its still smaller il only train the left arm on arm day for week 11, but week 12 its back to mr righty lol.

i was using the same whey protein from holland and barratt the vanilla one ive run out now thow lol and im using the creatine capsules.
what flavour whey do you have because im not sure which to buy next week i was thinking of buying the chocalate one becasue i wasent that keen on vanilla it was alright thow. the creatine caps seem good i take 3 b4 workout and 3 after.
anyway keep workin!Smile

wow you found vanilla alright?

Thats amazing, most throw up from it haha!

I always go for strawberry flavoured supps.
Creatine didnt have any so i went for "fruit punch" which is very bloody nice! tastes like any sugary drink! haha.

Though its costly...I might just buy a tub of pure creatine next and add sugar myself-cheaper and more servings.

I hate chocolate and anything flavoured like it, so choc supps wouldnt be a good idea for me.
The only trouble with strawberry is that the flavourings they use for it (always the same, for supps, sweets and anything) it has a bit of a "kick" to it, which tastes kinda alcoholic, which isnt good because apparently im very susceptible(sp?) to alcohol LOL.

Ok basically i used to hang on the decline of my deadlifts, and ive been told this can harm your lower back-i liked hanging because of the burning i got in my lower back, however i shall now incorporate 3 styles of deadlift

Im now going to have (made up names lol)

Power deadlift:sumo start, drop weight right down each rep, high weight
Mass Deadlift:sumo start, hang weights, low/medium weight
Stiff legged deadlift:...well this is the non made up one so yeah obvious what im gonna do here lol. (Im starting with 11lbs plates each side, for a massive 66lbs! lol) 

I think this is good because basically, with proper deadlift (the power one) i will be cranking out 300lbs for 5 reps and 250lbs for 8 reps in no time, i can lift up a good 300lbs easily-i just cant hang the ****, so my deadlifts training weights are gonna be going up to double my weight BIATCHES!

BRING IT ON!

My biceps are now 13" cold and 13.5" pumped.

I really cannot wait to get my 15" guns back, i miss them, and i cant wait to pump em up to 17"
I know theres the whole 1" per 15lbs muscle

But i used to have 15"ers weighing in at a whopping 150lbs max
And lets do the maths
Arnold schwarzenneger without weightlifting was probably a tad above average yeah? so 6'2" average weight is around 165-170lbs, and average arm size is 14-15"

he got to 22", which is 7x15 which =105lbs

He never got to 275lbs, in fact he got to 235lbs with 22" arms, meaning he weighed 130lbs at 6'2" with 14-15" arms

Yeah right.

Methinks the 15lbs per 1" doesnt quite work.

i thought the vanilla flavour from holland and barratts was ok it tasted more like caramel to me.
well i usuallyy hate the chocalate, but when i went on hol to spain a couple of weeks ago, the gym down the raod there made protein drinks for you after your workout. i had chocalate flavour and oh my god they were nice. the next day when i had one i stood at the bar becuase i was sure it was just a normal chocalate milkshake not a protein drink but hell it was damn chocalate whey protein powder. it even had chocalate chips in it. it really did taste like a very nice chocalate milkshake i could of drank them all day. any way i was going to buy a tub as they were selling it behind the counter but i thought id better not becasue it was at the time of that terroist scare, and they probly take it out and test it and stuff. DAMN TERROISTS!Smile. anyway i cant rember the name of that damn protein powder. all the other chocalate powders taste bitter and like piss.

youll have terrible **** but my god man youd be 450lbs of burley muscle by the morning! LOL.
Just try it really, i dont know anyone who supps with choc whey, all my friends are geeks, fat, or too lazy to even mention the gym, let alone go there and supplement.

Even worse is when i get comments like "hang on, you want to gain weight so you go to the gym? that makes no sense!"

......yes it does, gyms arent built for fat people to go on reinforced treadmills, that was just a side effect of the building LOL.

hhah all my mates are school drop outs lol im the geek of the group lol somtimes they come the gym with me but alls they do is 1 set of 10 on each machine and expect to be huge in 1 week. they think im a beast lmao and compared to allot of the people on this site im just tiny lol
my dad cant understand that you have to eat alot of food to build muscle he thinks that you build muslce by eating 3 tiny meals of salad. dumbassSmile he also thinks you build muscle by doing 1 set of like 1oo reps LOL. some people just dont have a clue Smile

Yeah it annoys me whenever i tell someone at college how to get big, they follow about 5% of it, and never eat enough, and then bitch at me saying things like "you lied!" or "youre on something thats why!"

I mean im not big, but i bulge a bit from the low BF%, mainly my biceps as you've seen, which i get comments on, and because they cant do it from being to lazy they seem to think i needed steroids to obtain 13" arms...complete ****ing idiocy
Maybe 23" arms yeah, but not 13" lol.
Its only because i have low BF anyway, most peoples arms are bigger than mine-they just dont look it.

And

I did a tad bit of training yesterday on friday the 1st of september

various exercises for my left arm, im pleased to report a bit of growth and definition making both arms look more proportioned-for now.

Il be working both left and right this monday coming

AND FOR THE GRAND FINALE

I SQUATTED 220LBS 4 TIMES!
I SQUATTED 220LBS 8 TIMES ON SMITH MACHINE
 
Smith machine makes it easier-but i like leaning a bit when i squat, as a result, i couldnt move properly-so hate smithing
 
Oh also, i benched 132lbs 8 times on smith-MY GOD it makes it easier, i could rack up a good 5x5 on 145lbs with that good ol' smitthy, but il stick to freeweights.
 
Sheepman if youre reading-the 4 reps were tough, but i reckon il be using 200 for 8 reps and 220lbs for 5 reps in my new routine next week onwards, meaning ive beaten you in squats right?
 
Im at 2 plates for squats now yay lol, and 2 plates for deadlift
 
since dae told me to drop the weight each rep, im now in realisation that i could be DLing 250lbs for 5 reps EASILY next week.
 
Il be doing 220lbs for 8 reps and 245lbs for 5 reps in my new routine hopefully.
 
Bench has stayed the same
 
And i liked my week off
 
Il be posting my BW every 2 weeks
 
as of today it is 155lbs, i lost a 1lbs somewhere, im putting it down to water or fat, because im feeling REALLY skinny, veg will know what i mean, you know, when you wake up and you feel really thin...thinner than usual, it is usually when us ectos go through a "clear out day" and shed around 5lbs overnight LOL.
 
But yeah, damn happy, 2 plates each side for squat and DLing now, i cant believe it, there was me thinking id be maxxing that weight by june 2007, and now im repping it before christmas 2006 LOL
 
EDIT: Oh and for you english-never buy weightgainer from argos, 1 available, and rather unsurprisingly-it was vanilla, and i cant get a refund...****ers....
 
And i got a Weightlifting Belt, and i splashed out on a gooden n' all, 5-6 inches width and can fit a 25" waist so i wont have trouble getting into it now haha, goes all the way to 38" waist for when i get fat LOL...thatl be the day.

f**k me man well done on the squats great progress! im peed off because the whether here has meant i cant do any deadlifting or squating as i do them out in the garden, and my sheds to small to do them in. also the gym doesnt really has a proper area to d themSmile anyway doing great i think youve over taken me in the sqauts to great stuff!Smile

Yeah whats with that?

It took me ages to find a gym that has a facility to deadlift, i think its because england is now sue city and theyre afraid everyones gonna rack on 500lbs and break there back like a retard and sue them.

Thing is the gym i go to is on a 2nd floor and i dont know whether i can deadlift in excess of 300lbs, I know the gym owners daughter and she told me its been reinforced etc but, meh, when youre dropping 300lbs from a good 2-3ft, that can even brake reinforced stuff, at least weaken it, and after years of deadlifters, yeah you get the point.

Thing is ive never seen much deadlifting at my gym, hardly anyone does it, a few do, but not many, which might explain why i get looks whenever i deadlift.


I went to a party last night right

complete lunacy
I spent 3 months gaining 8lbs odd and didnt want to lose it so didnt drink alcohol, i had 4 red bulls, and woke up feeling sick and felt absolutely awful.
WTF?!

If i knew i was gonna wake up in that state id just have drunk alcohol Smile
Maybe red bull ferments somehow...dunno lol.
Weirder still is i have managed to maintain my weight-perfectly from the party, even though i feel SERIOUSLY dehydrated.



You squat more than 220lbs right?
Its 100kg, 2 20kg plates each side plus the 20kg bar.
Im going to try and add 1.25kg or 2.5kg each side each week, il be using 3 plates in 4-8 weeks time maybe lol.
I know you deadlift way more than me, you do 140kg, which is 3 20's each side, which i will one day get to lol.
