ORIGINAL: Lynx100 Well to be honest, i dont actually have any strong evidence FOR or AGAINST this argument so im still unconvinced that absitence increases Test levels or that regular sex decreases it enough to effect weight gains. That study you linked to was not a randomised controlled or placebo controlled, it wasnt blinded and it was done with a relatively small cohort and way too many variables that are unaccounted for. So i wouldnt take any evidence from that study as gospel or evidence for abstinence. But like i said, i dont have anything to prove it doesnt work either... so..... Im quite neutral on this subject as far as scientific evidence is concerned as i cant argue either way. PERSONALLY, from GUT feeeling, and personal experience i dont subscribe to the theory. I havent noticed any significant changes in my strength or mass gain relating to my ejaculation schedule. But sure, if convincing evidence is put before me, ill accept it. I agree, but even if the evidence was conclusive, using this as a method of treatment, as was advocated above, would seem to be pure folly. Is it reasonable for most guys to abstain, and for how long? And just how fair is that to the partners? I think the doctor's prescription is the way to go, and like Marc said, run it by him. In addition, self-medicating an issue that your doctor is trying to treat you for is breaching the trust in that relationship, IMO. If you don't want to take the medication, then discuss alternatives with him/her, but don't do it all on your own. Doctors have enough to worry about without their patients going on their own treatment frolics.

Back to the original poster - sorry to get off topic here. I think the consencus is that you should listen to you doctor - dont take things into your own hands.

I would rather use the sex as a cardio session to offset the "disadvantages" LOL
