XCEED and NO - Friday, June 02, 2006 7:59 AM
Gotta quick question(s) for ya...does XCEED contain NO?  I'm looking at the label on the ingredients and it doesn't have the same stuff say Nitrix or NO2 has, however I keep seeing it in all the NO product searches.  It does say that it boots NO production, but does it contain NO?  Should I take a NO supp with XCEED or would I just be pissing my money away????  Thanks for the help...

Yes sir it does.  It is in the form of Di-Argnine Malate.  I wouldn't take additional NO when taking Xceed, because Xceed is adequately dosed with NO.  Hope you enjoy!

Have you heard anything about Purple Wrath?  Just wondering if it has enought EAA and BCAA's or if I should take a MRM BCAA+G along with it too...

If you want EAAs, use purple wrath. If you want BCAAs, use MRM's BCAAs.

Purple Wrath contains both EAA's and BCAA's...I'm a little confused on what you mean by take one or the other as well, shouldn't you take both type of Amino Acids?

By taking BCAAs alone, you get more BCAA per gram than you would BCAA per gram if you used EAA.

My personal preference is for EAA + carbs, or BCAA without carbs so i get a higher % of the BCAAs.

In my view, if you have whey, there is no need for the EAA supplements (and whey or the simple egg would be far superior to most EAA supplements in a pill due to percentage absorbed). BCAA's on the other hand will be in high demand from the weight training, and perhaps under certain conditions, glutamine or arginine would be in demand. The most important aminos to supplement with on the side of whey is BCAA's. I really think the whey should be fine for most cases if you flood the body with it around the workout time.

Alright...thanks for the insight...  I think what I'm going to do is stick with my 100% Optimum Whey Protein and just take the MRM-BCAA+G...forget the Purple Wraath EAA/BCAA mix...sound like a better plan?

Fully agreed - there is little need for EAAs beyond whole-food protein sources when you eat.

But i do like EAA + carbs during training.

RE: XCEED and NO - Thursday, June 08, 2006 8:28 PM
Alright this is the stack I'm looking at going with.  Now keep in mind, I used to take Creatine, NO and Protein and got up to about 215 lbs, bench 335, squat 450, dead 500, clean 275.  Since then, I was in training for the Navy SEALS for the last 2 years...completely changed my work-out routine (running and swimming non-stop and lifting only body weight) and dropped down to 176.  I had stopped taking everything...even my multivitamin.  Right now I'm back up to about 185 and looking to get back to where I was.  So, I'm ordering:
XCEED
100% Whey Optimum
MRM+BCAA-G
Higher Power Micronized Creatine
All natural multivitamin
Basic Cuts
My plan is to start on the Whey (4 servings a day between 20-30g each serving) and the BCAA's for a week or two and then put in the XCEED with a scoop of of the reg. creatine (spread it out to avg about 15g of creatine a day).  Taking the multivitamin the entire time and the Basic Cuts towards the end of the stack.  Anything that I missed, I'm going to try to make up for in my diet.  I know that the Micronized Creatine may seem unnecessary but I've seen research where your muscles can absorb anywhere from 9 to 14.4 g of creatine a day...I'd rather have more than I need than not enough...  Let me know what you think...

It is fine so long as the rest of your diet is in check. :)

My diet is pretty strick...very high caloric intake with (around 3,000 to 3,500 if I'm at home, up to 4,000 if I'm out eating MRE's) a lot of Chicken, Albacore, Egg Whites...  I never eat junk food, soda, fast food or any of that crap.

That's good, because diet and training are the foundations needed for success.
